    Review: There are plenty of power bank jump starters on Amazon – though most of them don’t have an air compressor. I couldn’t really tell you how safe any of them are, because some lithium battery chemistries are more dangerous than others, and starting a car requires a ton of current. Then there are the issues of swollen battery cells, questionable BCMs, and more.So, what’s a risk averse consumer to do?I got a Schumacher Electric SL1562 4-in-1 Lithium Portable Power Station and Jump Starter. I’ve purchased other Schumacher products in the past, and I’ve come to trust the brand. While it’s possible that the SL1562 is just a white-label product with no special pedigree, I choose to believe that Schumacher would not risk their brand reputation on poorly engineered or poorly built products.What does $128 (with $12 off coupon, at the time of this review) get you? You get a unit with reasonably solid build quality. I think it’s a plus that the jump cables are permanently attached, as the detachable ones on some units are inherently more prone to extreme heat or fire (even when fused). The battery bank function is a throw in, and is mediocre at best (no USB PD or QC charging). The compressor is loud and slow, but it works just fine. I’ve jumped two vehicles with the unit so far (1.6T I4, and 3.8T V6) with no issues. The only thing I don’t like is the cable stowage. Well, and I think it would be nice if the unit used LiFePo chemistry, rather than LiPo.I’m sure the price may be a show-stopper for anyone that’s looking at cheaper options. For my part, I don’t really even care that much about the compressor – I just wanted a little more peace of mind from a larger unit that MAY have a better BMS and cell storage concept. I’ll update this review if I run into any performance, safety, or longevity issues. For now, I recommend this unit.

    Title: Faulty internals.
    Review: This jump pack looks to be built well but unfortunately I received a faulty unit. The jump pack I received when it’s connected to any size car battery new or old the unit will automatically switch on and off with a loud clicking noise from the inside of the jump box. This problem will also cause the car interior and exterior lights to switch on and off and when I managed to jump a vehicle off the jump box will force the car to turn off in about 1 second and the warning alarm goes off on the jump box. Jump box has been fully charged multiple times and I’ve tried many attempts with different vehicles and followed instructions and cannot get this jump box to work correctly. I am returning this jump box for a full refund and not for replacement.

    Title: Intelligent Battery Charger that Charges!
    Review: My sister’s car has a faulty alternator so her battery needs charging frequently until she can get a new alternator. She was using a battery charger from the big W retailer and it finally just stopped charging.I decided to help her out and order this Nexpeak battery charger mainly for its price point and it’s pulse repair feature. It’s a nice looking small box that you simply connect to the AC power and then connect to battery. It defaults to standard lead acid battery mode so first use was simple.While it’s charging it it shows a diagram of a battery with bars that flash and stay lit as it charges showing 0-100% in 20% increments. On the left of the display you’ll see DFS for about five minutes where it’s going through a small repair mode (desulfurization stage) then begins charging. Information was shown such as the temperature of the charger, the Voltage, and Amps. It charged between 13v and 14v staying over 9 amps having the battery almost full in as little as four hours.The charger has a built in fan as well to be sure it stays optimally cool as it charges. The quality of the box is great for the price range. It’s all plastic but it’s not super cheap feeling and the clamps are also nice. It’s small enough as well to easily take it where ever you may need it making it extremely portable.Really the only biggest draw back I can see if the AC cord is very short so either expect to have the battery very close by or grab an extension cord to hook up with it. I almost forgot the mode button on this charger too. Its a touch capacitive button which with a simple touch it will cycle modes. Those modes being STD (Standard lead acid battery), AGM/GEL, WET, Motorcycle Trickle and lastly Repair.I have seen in other reviews folks mentioning issues with the touch button in getting it to work correctly. I wonder if the issues they may be having could be due to the plastic screen protector that is on it for packaging. I removed it as soon as I took the charger out of the box and have had no issues myself.It’s charged her battery up now about three times with no issues at all and soon I’m going to test the repair mode on my battery that is aging and see what results I get. Overall though for the price it’s hard to beat and highly recommed!

    Title: Useful for batteries less than 675 Cold Cranking Amps
    Review: I have no complaints about the workmanship for this product. It works as described. It is not large or bulky.However, I have a high output automobile battery that is rated at more than 800 amps. This charger does not seem to adjust to high output batteries. It charged my battery to 675 amps and said “done, fully charged.”I would recommend for any battery less than 675 amps. If you have a higher output battery, you may need to buy something more heavy duty.Follow up.Still using the charger. It seems to work well. It has a digital display and well display the amperage flow on a second to second basis. It does charge at 10amps if needed.

    Title: Restored a dead lawnmower battery. Already paid for itself in first week.
    Review: I have a riding mower with a dead battery. I charged the battery overnight with my 2 amp charger, and it still wouldn’t even turn the engine over. The battery was purchased in June of 2023, so 2 cutting seasons. I feel like a battery should last longer than that, so I thought I would give this desulfator thing a shot. I put it on repair and ran it until it turned off. Next I put it into trickle charge mode and ran that until it said full. I disconnected it, and waited a full week before I tried to start the mower. It started right up, turning the starter good and strong. My pickup truck doesn’t get driven a whole lot. It sometimes sits a few days at a time without being started. When we had a cold spell of several days below freezing, the starter would turn over slowly. Since this item worked so well on the lawn mower, I figured I’d try it out on the pickup. I got the same great results on the truck as I did the lawn mower. I wish I would have learned about desulfators years ago. This thing is awesome.

Note: leads and AC cord are not long – use of decent extension cord not an issue.

    Review: Shipped and arrived in a timely manner. Bought this for my 2022 H-D Ultra Limited. My bike already had a dealer installed charge/accessory harness. It plugged right in and keeps my battery in road ready condition. It does come with a harness with battery clips to charge and maintain other 12V batteries as well. Good value and a must have for your power sports equipment. The only thing that would help is if it came with a leave in place harness for those that do not already have one on their vehicles. Was no issue for me as my bike already had one but all will not.

    Review: Extremely easy to use, just connect to vehicle and plug it in. My first glass mat battery so I needed the proper charger. After reading all of the online descriptions, reviews and comments I purchased this one and I couldn’t be happier. I live in a very hot and humid part of the country where vehicle batteries are generally replaced after 3 years. 5 is max. Given the price for a new battery it just makes sense to keep the current one charged and properly cared for. This new Battery Tender makes that both easy and inexpensive to do. Will update my review when I know just how long my battery lasts.

    Review: This is an excellent device for people that do not drive frequently and their vehicles are parked for long periods of time, especially in very cold climates. I have my battery tender plugged in my garage with the quick disconnect attached to the battery posts which simplifies hooking it back up when returning home. I love this device and feel it is completely safe to leave plugged in. Apparently, I heard that trickle chargers eventually will drain the life of your battery, but the trickle charger will not. Hope this helps.

    Review: This Battery Tender does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I got the plus because some of the smaller models are now made in China. This one is still made in the USA. My bike sat all winter in a Canadian garage (Ice Cold Beers – No fridge required) with the battery still in. I was fearful that I would need a new battery. Tried starting this spring and of course it was dead. Hooked up the battery tender in the evening and the next morning she fired up on the first try! Surprisingly it actually started faster than usual. Great product!!!

    Title: My first one lasted years.
    Review: This 410 watt inverter is a replacement for the last inverter of the same brand and size I had.I used the previous unit for camping and fishing. It would run a vacuum packer as long as it was connected to the battery using the supplied connectors. It was many years old, I can’t remember where or when I bought it.Lately I was using this inverter to run our tv and internet device full time in our RV trailer. We like to boon dock often, and I have a solar array on our 5th wheel. We do not use much shore power and can be energy independent. This Schumacher XI41B works fine for that use.The failure of the old unit started as excess fan noise. When I checked the output, it was only showing 90 volts AC output, the unit was hot too. I may of hastened it’s demise by not paying attention to the 12 volt power supply wires, ie, too small and too long.When the first unit failed after many years of use, I had no issue with buying another.I since I bought a new inverter, I dedicated a run of 9 feet, 10 gauge wire from the battery to the inverter. The voltage line loss is minimal, as I am only pulling 3.5 amps 12 VDC from the battery. I checked this with a Fluke AmpClamp Volt meter. Very handy device.The TV and 4G modem are all low voltage devices, and do not use much 110 volt. So far the inverter runs quietly with no problems. I have not heard any fan noise, it does get warm, but not hot.To get the full 410 watts would require (410/12=) 34 amps (10 AWG minimum), and a bigger gauge wire would be needed. Since my amps requirement is small I can get away with this size wire to length. I read a lot of misconceptions and complaints about wire size and runs, and then complaints about the device not working right. The battery clamps wire is short for a reason.The 120 volt output is not the best or steady, and is more like 110 volt AC. But for recharging or running low voltage devices, this works fine. Just beware of the limitations of using the smaller plug in 12v connector. For full power, this must be connected with the battery clamps, or use a good gauge wire with appropriate wire length from the battery.

    Title: It’s fine when it works, way over rated for power
    Review: I have 185w exactly of lights hooked to this. No long wire runs or anything, just 185w. When turning it on, the lights flicker a ton and the unit just says overload and retries over and over again. I can run less lights down to 145w and it’ll work fine, but it definitely isn’t rated for what it says.Edit: changed it to a 1 star as the problem seems to be getting worse over time. Running less lights now it will trip the overload. Don’t buy this.

    Review: This works fine but requires a fully charged battery. Once the voltage begins to drop below 12volts the unit will start complaining and will shut down… The unit also will not operate if the voltage is above 13 volts or so… This makes it tough to use with anything other than a powered vehicle running. The super narrow operational range means you should look elsewhere for a better inverter…

    Review: i bought it for my motorcycle, it will work on cars as well, but i bought it to carry on my adventure biking trips, it has already saved me, i was testing my heated gear to see how much amperage i could pull from the stator without killing my battery, and i took it just a but too far, with full heat, heated grips, heated seat, high beams, aux lights and add on fog lights. when i stopped to get gas, my battery had dropped to 11.5 which during cranking went to 10.4 which is not enough to get the computer to turn on.. hooked up the jumper and it ripped right over.. also i can use it as a mobile 12v power bank to heat my heated riding gear away from the bike… and has usb charging ports for other stuff, and the led light is handy as well.. it will be great insurance when im in the middle of nowhere on the bike.

    Review: The first 5 or six times I used the jump box. It worked perfectly, couldn’t of asked for a better product. Infact the jump box was so powerful it even cold started my New Holland 5610 tractor. I was amazed…I woke up one Saturday morning around 7ish , wanting to get some much need yard work done,. Being early spring. As I prepare my Cub Cadet lawnmower for the task of cutting knee high weeds, every stick, branch, child’s toy or tree that will be in sight of the Barefoot family yard.. for the fortunate none North Carolinas. that’s all the beautiful yards will grows the early spring of North Carolina.As I turned the ignition key to start, nothing happened. I quickly realized, “yes ” the battle dead. No problem right. I have a new amazingly powerful jump box. I quickly applied the +’red’ to the positive termamal. Same process to the negative. I firmly grabbed my trusty jump box and pressed the center button to activate the device. The center button became stuck.??? I was confused, I taped it softly, repeated the taping over and over again. Same result. I tried a small flat screwdriver to pry on the sides and edges of the button. My attempts were in vain. I slowly gave into the fact my new amazingly powerful, impressive and perfect in my eyes, had failed me so soon. I now shamefully avoid friends and family for the fear of my failure jump box will be brought up in conversation. I am taking the disappointment day by day trying to void it from my memory of the power I once could yield freely and boastful. As time slowly drags on , the one light that keeps me going is the one year warranty I have shamefully applied for. I often look back on the days I could laugh at week or dead batteries. My one hope for redemption is a lone email that was sent to a manufacturer name I dare not say. I will continue to attempt being strong through the trial of my future on cranking trucks, lawnmower and even tractors again some day.

Only thing I wish was a little different is the plus that plugs into the battery pack for the cables. It’s kinda big so makes storage and fitting in the bag not slim and easy. Not bad for the money. Only charged it when I first bought it and jumped at least 10-12 bikes and still showing over 75%. Charges up quick

    Review: This is the first jump starter I’ve owned. I’ve got a high performance car that doesn’t get driven often, so the battery is usually dead by the time I drive it again. The car has a big V8 with lots of cams and valves to get moving, so it does need strong cranking amps to get it started. This thing started it up with no problem twice without a recharge and was still showing 90% charged afterwards. I think I could’ve started the car at least two more times without recharging the jump starter, which would be big feat. I bought two of these at black Friday deals. I’m thinking I should’ve bought more — one for each of my vehicles. Guess what I’ll be looking out for next black Friday? It is small and doesn’t take up much space. The only question I have is longevity — how long will it last? That is to be determined but so far, so good.

    Review: Just received my new charger a few days ago and it works pretty much as advertised. Based on some reviews I expected it to be rather loud but, while you can certainly hear the fan, it’s no worse than a PC case fan and not a bother at all in my shop. The unit itself is solid with good leads and decent clamps. The display is great with bright and easy to read LEDs although I haven’t tried it in direct sunlight yet. The lead storage hooks on the back should be a larger with a place to lock the clamps on but it’s better than my previous charger that had no storage at all. Although I haven’t used them yet the jump start and alternator test modes should be useful.The one complaint I have is really with the instructions. The charger is advertised as being compatible with deep-cycle marine/RV batteries and it is but neither the manual nor Schumacher website give any information on what settings to use for them. The settings are limited to Standard, AGM, and Gel with no specific deep-cycle choice. My previous charger, a very old analog Schumacher, had a two position switch, one for a standard battery (labeled SLI for starter, lighting, instrument) and the other position for deep-cycle but this one doesn’t. The manual has a convenient description of standard (wet cell), AGM, and Gel battery types but only mentions that AGM and Gel batteries are often deep-cycle while failing to mention that many deep-cycle batteries (including my own) are standard wet cells.So, what selection is best for wet-cell deep-cycle batteries? Schumacher’s answer is to use the AGM setting for all deep-cycle batteries including wet, AGM and Gel. Seems that it would be a simple addition to their manual and they might also want to consider changing the control to read AGM/Deep-Cycle.BTW, be careful of answers provided on Amazon. I received three answers (so far) to the question about deep-cycle batteries I posted, each different. One correctly identified AGM as the appropriate setting but another said Std and the third claimed it was all automatic. The charging process is fully automatic but the charger does not automatically identify the battery type. I checked this with three different types of batteries I had on hand. Each time the charger correctly identified the battery voltage but defaulted to AGM and 30amp charging regardless of the actual type of battery (Std, AGM, or Gel) or initial charge so be sure to correctly set the battery type and your desired charge rate. The default to 30amp/AGM is mentioned in the manual so there is nothing wrong with my charger. The charger does automatically transition to charged/maintaining mode once the battery is charged.The other possible issue I have is that when I started to charge an AGM battery at 6/2 amps the display showed it as being 79% charged. After about 15 minutes of charging that progressed to 80% and then 81% when it suddenly jumped to 100% and the charger went into charge/maintaining mode. According to Schumacher the big jump was typical but she couldn’t explain why so I’m not sure if the battery is 100% charged or if it’s actually only 81%. I’ll see when I actually get around to using it.

    Title: works GREAT, will charge a completely dead battery
    Review: I bought this battery charger because my previous, very old, charger finally stopped working. I purchased a different battery charger first but then realized that it would NOT charge a completely dead battery. This was one of the very few battery chargers on the market that will charge a completely dead battery. A battery charger that won’t do this is worthless to me as I usually only get out my battery charger when I have a dead battery. Other than that this battery charger is very easy to use, reads out the charging current and battery voltage and even estimates how much the battery is charged. It will automatically shut off when the battery is fully charged as well. When it detects that the battery is “sulfated,” a condition where a battery will not charge properly, it goes into a mode to repair the battery. This is very handy for older batteries. It will charge as low as 2 amps to maintain a battery in storage and as high as 30 amps for a very fast charge. It also provides a 100 amp battery boost which is the equivalent of a “jump start” to start a near dead car battery immediately if you are close enough to a power plug to plug it in. The battery charger is also very rugged and, of course, quite heavy too. If you drop it, no worries. It has some advanced features to diagnose a bad car alternator but I have not used this yet.

    Title: Gets the job done, could have slightly better instructions.
    Review: My car battery was completely dead. Completely. I followed the instructions attaching the red to connector to the + red battery terminal and the black connector to some metal under the hood. I got a 0.0V read and neither charge mode nor jump start mode would ever kick in. I must’ve tried to figure it out for 20-30 minutes before I decided to follow my gut (instead of the instructions) and connect a battery like I always have (on the battery posts themselves). What do you know? Now I have a voltage read (it was at 9.6V) and the jump start mode worked! Lights came on in the car immediately and had to wait a few minutes to crank the engine. Instructions did help with choosing the battery type (choose standard for your car battery). The charge mode brought my standing voltage up to 11V (that’s without the car turned on). Seems like a good buy. We’ll see how long it lasts. Just be normal and connect straight to car battery terminals.

    Review: My dad has one of these and let me borrow it one day. However, he lives about 2 hours from me and I ended up needing one again. I figured it was easier and just as cheap to get it on here. He’s very picky about the quality of the tools he gets, so he expects that if he tells me something is the right one, it is the only option. In this case, I will say it works really well. He did stress not to even plug it in until I connected the cables. I don’t think that is necessary, because you have to push the power button on to use it, but I did that regardless. I was able to use it on my car and a motorcycle the first time. Then my daughter left her car outside and didn’t move it and the battery died. I know that is bad… Anyhow, it did take a long extension cord to run it over there, but I just left it there and it worked well. My ex said you have to be careful when you use them because they don’t give too much power for a motorcycle, but my dad said it actually can tell on this one how much power is needed. I was leery about it, but he was right. So, all-in-all, being so small and easy to move, along with the other things… I guess it is really good.

Most people’s brake fluid doesn’t get changed nearly often enough – so if your fluid isn’t already black as sin or worse yet green (!!!!), then check it with this to ensure the water content isn’t too high.     Review: Worth it for the primary trim tool alone. The rest of the kit is just icing. A pieces seem solidly built. These aren’t meant to be pry tools so if that’s what you’re after then go buy that instead but for working with interior trim panels and such these do the trick. A full kit for the price you’d pay just for the main tool. Hard to beat.

    Review: I like that this tool didn’t scratch my door panel and worker well. The only suggestion is to buy extra panel clips when doing the repair job, half of the 20+year old clips broke, not this tools fault, just old clips. I replaced all 9 clips on my 1st Gen Toyota Tacoma drivers door. I bought this as my drivers door handle had broke. The trim tool paid for itself the first use

    Review: I bought these to remove the trim on the tailgate of my car to replace a broken micro switch. Did the job as expected. Made it easier to remove the panel without breaking something. Well made and very strong tools. Probably wont be used that often but I imagine there will be occasions to use them on stuff around the house as well as the car. Nice thing to have in the toolbox at a good price. Recommended.
