He told jurors that Thursday is expected to be a shorter day of testimony, followed by a longer day on Friday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Clancy, 36, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the deaths of her three children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan, in their Duxbury home on\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/duxbury-lindsay-clancy-homicide-summer-street-massachusetts-postpartum-psychosis-wbz-tv-iteam\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Jan. 24, 2023<\/a><\/span>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Defense attorney Kevin Reddington could wrap up his case Thursday. He&#8217;s attempted to show that Clancy should not be held criminally responsible for the murders because she was overmedicated and suffering from\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/lindsay-clancy-trial-postpartum-psychosis\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">postpartum psychosis<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors Jennifer Sprague and Shanan Buckingham are then expected to call several rebuttal witnesses before the trial shifts to closing arguments. The prosecutors allege that Clancy\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/lindsay-clancy-murder-trial-duxbury-first-responders-testify\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">planned the murders<\/a><\/span>\u00a0before faking a suicide attempt.<\/p>\n<p>Clancy\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/duxbury-lindsay-clancy-murder-trial-hearing\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">admits<\/a><\/span>\u00a0to killing her children, but a psychologist testified for the defense that she heard a male <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/lindsay-clancy-trial-watch-live-day-15\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">voice in her head<\/a><\/span> ordering her to do it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Judge questions jurors individually\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Before court started for the day, attorneys met at sidebar with Judge Sullivan. <\/p>\n<p>Then, jurors were called in one at a time in the order they are seated in the jury box. Each juror was asked questions, raising their right hand when doing so.<\/p>\n<p>It is not clear why jurors were questioned.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Lindsay Clancy supporters in pink<\/h2>\n<p>Before the courthouse opened Thursday morning, dozens of women dressed in pink came out to support Lindsay Clancy.<\/p>\n<p>The women came from as far away as Florida, Tennessee and New York to call for improved postpartum healthcare for mothers and better mental health treatment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed__float-wrap\">\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-image is-image embed--float-none embed--size-medium\" data-ads=\"{\" extrawordcount=\"\">\n<p>      <span class=\"img embed__content \"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets3.cbsnewsstatic.com\/hub\/i\/r\/2026\/08\/20\/ecc88ac4-36ee-4e7f-a13d-71aa112a394f\/thumbnail\/620x349\/0f82da3ff101ac698cb09b39b1de0e6e\/anna.jpg#\" alt=\"anna.jpg \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\" srcset=\"https:\/\/assets3.cbsnewsstatic.com\/hub\/i\/r\/2026\/08\/20\/ecc88ac4-36ee-4e7f-a13d-71aa112a394f\/thumbnail\/620x349\/0f82da3ff101ac698cb09b39b1de0e6e\/anna.jpg 1x, https:\/\/assets1.cbsnewsstatic.com\/hub\/i\/r\/2026\/08\/20\/ecc88ac4-36ee-4e7f-a13d-71aa112a394f\/thumbnail\/1240x698\/7f9d84eae5141905b29040b7aff77c05\/anna.jpg 2x\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/span><figcaption class=\"embed__caption-container\">\n<p>                  <span class=\"embed__caption\">Dozens of women dressed in pink to show their support for Lindsay Clancy outside Plymouth Superior Court on Aug. 20, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                  <span class=\"embed__credit\"><\/p>\n<p>                CBS Boston via Anna Meiler<\/p>\n<p>                          <\/span><br \/>\n              <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Since Lindsay wasn&#8217;t helped on a mental health level, that in maybe some support today that she can see that women will stand with her, and we&#8217;ve got her and we will be her foundation for her,&#8221; said Angel Kinsolving of Land O&#8217;Lakes, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I hope that Lindsay knows that we&#8217;re here for her,&#8221; said Valery Rockwell, a mental health worker from Plymouth, Massachusetts. &#8220;I&#8217;m really upset about the mental health system and how we don&#8217;t communicate with each other and how that really put her in danger and it&#8217;s heartbreaking to see what she&#8217;s suffering right now and so many women in the world go through this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m here to support her as well as all the mental health system workers who don&#8217;t know much about this and can help women in general,&#8221; Rockwell told reporters.<\/p>\n<h2>Lindsay Clancy trial<\/h2>\n<p>Clancy remains paralyzed from that night and attends court in a wheelchair.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/video\/lindsay-clancy-prosecutor-finishes-cross-examination-of-psychologist-at-murder-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Dr. Paul Zeizel<\/a> completed his testimony. He is a psychologist who has met extensively with Clancy. Judge Sullivan also ruled Wednesday that a TikTok user who worked at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts, will not be allowed to testify. Court then ended for the day earlier than expected due to an &#8220;unforeseen circumstance.&#8221; \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If convicted of first-degree murder, Clancy faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
