Judge William Sullivan told jurors it&#8217;s possible the <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/lindsay-clancy-week-4-preview\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">prosecution could rest its case<\/a><\/span> on Monday and allow the defense to begin calling witnesses.<\/p>\n<p><em>You can watch the trial live on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/live\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">CBS News Boston<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/CBSBoston\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> when court is in session.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Clancy, 36, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the deaths of her three children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan, in their Duxbury home on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/duxbury-massachusetts-summer-street-children-deaths-postpartum-psychosis-depression-lindsay-clancy\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Jan. 24, 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution, led by Jennifer Sprague and Shanan Buckingham, alleges that Clancy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/lindsay-clancy-murder-trial-duxbury-first-responders-testify\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">planned the murders<\/a>\u00a0before\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/lindsay-clancy-murder-trial-duxbury-first-responders-testify\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">faking a suicide attempt<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Clancy\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/duxbury-lindsay-clancy-murder-trial-hearing\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">admits<\/a><\/span>\u00a0to killing her children. Prosecutors have said Clancy sent Patrick, her husband at the time, to CVS and ThreeV in order to give herself time to kill her children.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick and Lindsay Clancy were married at the time of their children&#8217;s deaths. Also last week, court was paused several times as <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/lindsay-clancy-trial-watch-live-day-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Clancy sobbed<\/a><\/span> while witnesses from the medical examiner&#8217;s office were on the stand.<\/p>\n<p>If she is convicted of first-degree murder, Clancy faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
