Steering may require increased effort,&#8221; recall documents state. If the overstress occurs &#8220;when the vehicle is traveling at more than 0 MPH, the same visual alert will appear on the UI in advance of the loss of EPAS once the vehicle reaches 0 MPH,&#8221; the company states in the recall.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla is not aware of any collisions, injuries or fatalities related to the condition, according to recall documents.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-video embed--type-content_video is-video embed--float-none embed--size-medium \"><figcaption class=\"embed__caption-container\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/video\/honda-nissan-and-mitsubishi-end-merger-talks\/\" class=\"embed__headline-link\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>          <span class=\"embed__icon\"><br \/>\n            <svg viewbox=\"0 0 32 32\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use xlink:href=\"#icon-video\"\/><\/svg><\/span><\/p>\n<p>          <span class=\"embed__headline\">Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi end merger talks<\/span><\/p>\n<p>          <span class=\"embed__video-duration\">00:22<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                      <\/a><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The recall affects certain 2023 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles operating software prior to 2023.38.4.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To fix the problem, Tesla released a free software update. Notification letters are to be mailed to owners of affected cars on March 25, 2025. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla&#8217;s number for this recall is SB-25-00-004.<\/p>\n<p>Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhtsa.gov\/recalls?nhtsaId=25V002000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">nhtsa.gov<\/a>. NHTSA&#8217;s number for the recall is 25V-092.<\/p>\n<p>This is Tesla&#8217;s <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/tesla-recall-rearview-visibility-january-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">second recall of 2025<\/a><\/span>.
