It also halts <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-anthropic-ai-order-federal-agencies\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">an order by President Trump<\/a><\/span> for every federal agency to &#8220;IMMEDIATELY CEASE all use of Anthropic&#8217;s technology.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The judge <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.cand.465515\/gov.uscourts.cand.465515.135.0_1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> that her ruling does not stop the Trump administration from taking &#8220;lawful actions&#8221; that were allowed beforehand \u2014 so it <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.cand.465515\/gov.uscourts.cand.465515.134.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">does not necessarily mean<\/a> the government must use Anthropic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For example, this Order does not require the Department of War to use Anthropic&#8217;s products or services and does not prevent the Department of War from transitioning to other artificial intelligence providers, so long as those actions are consistent with applicable regulations, statutes, and constitutional provisions,&#8221; she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Lin
