At least one Salmonella case has been reported in Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee and Washington.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ambrosia Brands, the product&#8217;s distributor, has voluntarily\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/ambrosia-brands-llc-recalls-rosabella-moringa-capsules-because-possible-health-risk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">recalled<\/a> potentially contaminated product lots of the powder capsules, which are packaged in a 60-count white bottle with a green lid and label. They were sold through Rosabella&#8217;s website and TikTok shop, as well as through Ebay, Shein, and other retailers.<\/p>\n<p>Moringa powder is derived from the tree of the same name, which is found in warm regions around the world and whose leaves and pods contain several essential nutrients,saaccording to the <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC9916933\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">National Institutes of Health<\/a>. Moringa products are used to make beverages used for treating a range of conditions, including ulcers, toothache and hypertension.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Some of the health claims around moringa (especially the claims made by supplement manufacturers) don&#8217;t have a lot of evidence to support them,&#8221; according to a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/health.clevelandclinic.org\/moringa-benefits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">article<\/a> by the Cleveland Clinic. &#8220;Much more (and better quality) research is needed before healthcare providers can say that moringa prevents or treats illness of any kind.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-image is-image embed--float-none embed--size-medium\">\n<p>      <span class=\"img embed__content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets3.cbsnewsstatic.com\/hub\/i\/r\/2026\/02\/17\/4933b6e5-0913-407a-9b11-4df973c76a9b\/thumbnail\/620x825\/b0cdf88fa036b49362fac2b1591ddfbd\/image-1-228.jpg#\" alt=\"image-1-228.jpg \" height=\"825\" width=\"620\" srcset=\"https:\/\/assets3.cbsnewsstatic.com\/hub\/i\/r\/2026\/02\/17\/4933b6e5-0913-407a-9b11-4df973c76a9b\/thumbnail\/620x825\/b0cdf88fa036b49362fac2b1591ddfbd\/image-1-228.jpg 1x, https:\/\/assets3.cbsnewsstatic.com\/hub\/i\/r\/2026\/02\/17\/4933b6e5-0913-407a-9b11-4df973c76a9b\/thumbnail\/1240x1650\/fa6317db306209b80679c822d46aa5b3\/image-1-228.jpg 2x\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/span><figcaption class=\"embed__caption-container\">\n<p>                  <span class=\"embed__caption\">U.S. health officials are urging consumers not to ingest Rosabella brand moringa powder capsules that are linked to Salmonella cases in seven states.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                  <span class=\"embed__credit\"><\/p>\n<p>                FDA\/Ambrosia Brands<\/p>\n<p>                          <\/span><br \/>\n              <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Recalled lots all start with SKU number 1356 and end with a -1 or -2 after the lot code, according to the FDA&#8217;s notice. The affected lots (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/ambrosia-brands-llc-recalls-rosabella-moringa-capsules-because-possible-health-risk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">listed<\/a> on the FDA&#8217;s site) all have expiration dates from March 2027 to November 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The government agencies are urging consumers to immediately dispose of Rosabella moringa powder capsules; to wash surfaces that may have come in contact with the products; and to monitor for symptoms like high fever, dehydration, diarrhea and vomiting in people who used the product.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Salmonella can cause serious, and sometimes fatal, infections in people with compromised immune systems, according to the
