After the lawmakers&#8217;\u00a0video was posted in November, the president <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/sedition-uproar-video-refusing-illegal-orders-trump-what-the-law-says\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">called their comments<\/a><\/span> &#8220;seditious&#8221; and demanded that they be &#8220;ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The news of the declined indictment was first reported by The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>CBS News has reached out to the Justice Department for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the six Democrats publicly condemned the move and applauded the grand jury for declining the charges. Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SenatorSlotkin\/status\/2021401432235155834?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a> the president was seeking to &#8220;weaponize our justice system against his perceived enemies.&#8221; Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SenMarkKelly\/status\/2021399732011094466?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">called it<\/a> an &#8220;outrageous abuse of power.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is highly unusual for grand juries to decline indictments, but the Justice Department has struggled with grand juries in recent months, especially in politically charged
