Mark Kelly for breach of military law after video that urged defying illegal orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- ItShrt World News -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"1882483372\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\r\n<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p><em>Washington \u2014 <\/em>The Pentagon indicated that it&#8217;s investigating Democratic Sen. <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/mark-kelly-trump-words-serious-consequences-jason-crow\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Mark Kelly of Arizona<\/a><\/span>, a former U.S. Navy Captain, after he was among a <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-democrats-seditious-behavior\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">group of lawmakers<\/a><\/span>\u00a0who released a video calling on service members and members of the intelligence community to &#8220;refuse illegal orders.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>In a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DeptofWar\/status\/1992999267967905905\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">social media post<\/a>, the Pentagon said it had received &#8220;serious allegations of misconduct&#8221; against Kelly, saying &#8220;a thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kelly told CBS News that he learned about the investigation via social media.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won&#8217;t work,&#8221; Kelly said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/senmarkkelly\/status\/1993025671757807746?s=46&amp;t=cOPOT9aS1WKTLfPcW4XSHA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">response<\/a> on X. &#8220;I&#8217;ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kelly was one of six Democratic lawmakers who released a video last week urging service members and members of the intelligence community to defy &#8220;illegal orders,&#8221; citing threats to the Constitution. The lawmakers, who are all veterans or former national security officials, also included Sen.
