And, unlike a fixed-rate home equity loan, which would have had to be <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/why-refinancing-home-equity-loan-makes-sense-april-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">refinanced<\/a><\/span> to exploit these cooler interest rates, HELOCs adjust independently on their own.
