The administration said it&#8217;s due to improperly sealed seams, and dealers will inspect and replace the side curtain airbags, as necessary, free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>Chrysler&#8217;s parent company said it&#8217;s not aware of any related injuries or accidents, but it&#8217;s urging customers to follow the instructions on their recall notices.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, Stellantis-owned Chrysler <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/detroit\/news\/chrysler-recalls-more-than-211000-suvs-pickup-trucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">recalled more than 211,000 SUVs and pickup trucks <\/a><\/span>in the U.S., due to a software malfunction that could disable the cars&#8217; electronic stability control systems. Also last year, Stellantis has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/static.nhtsa.gov\/odi\/rcl\/2024\/RCLRPT-24V198-1964.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">recalled<\/a>\u00a0thousands of Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 cars because of a manufacturing defect that could cause airbags to rupture unexpectedly, resulting in metal fragments flying out, potentially killing passengers.<\/p>\n<p>
