Further, the lawyers for the migrants said that 11 men from Colorado have already been sent to the Terrorism Confinement Center, or CECOT, in El Salvador.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-image is-image embed--float-none embed--size-medium\">\n<p>      <span class=\"img embed__content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets1.cbsnewsstatic.com\/hub\/i\/r\/2025\/04\/05\/3affde66-4a2b-4446-b476-6f819c6da262\/thumbnail\/1240x698\/e64c52068b72ca18fda70e5701c13d71\/aurora-ice-processing-center.jpg?v=edaea84d9f9990d3a4d8ddf0e6fb4e98#\" alt=\"aurora-ice-processing-center.jpg \" height=\"698\" width=\"1240\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/span><figcaption class=\"embed__caption-container\">\n<p>                  <span class=\"embed__caption\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  <span class=\"embed__credit\"><\/p>\n<p>                CBS<\/p>\n<p>                          <\/span><br \/>\n              <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;We are thankful that the Court put a stop to the Trump administration&#8217;s unlawful attempt to disappear Colorado residents to a Salvadoran mega-prison,&#8221; said Tim Macdonald, ACLU of Colorado Legal Director. &#8220;Due process is fundamental to the rule of law in this country, and the government has shown a rampant disregard for this essential civil right. The Trump administration&#8217;s desire to evade due process is a threat to all of us. We will continue to fight to permanently stop the government from disappearing people to foreign prisons without due process and in violation of the law. Not one more person should face this nightmare scenario.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CBS News Colorado has reached out to ICE for comment.<\/p>\n<p>The terms of the Colorado TRO expire on May 6, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In a ruling on April 7, the U.S. Supreme Court ordered that &#8220;AEA detainees must receive notice&#8230; that they are subject to removal under the Act. The notice must be afforded within a reasonable time and in such a manner as will allow them to actually seek habeas relief in proper venue before such removal occurs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The high court&#8217;s order did not indicate the terms of &#8220;reasonable&#8221; notice, so it was debated in court on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>In her order, Judge Charlotte Sweeney wrote that individuals subject to deportation under the AEA must receive 21 days&#8217; notice, be informed of the right to judicial review, and consult with an attorney. Such notice must also be written in a language the individual understands.<\/p>\n<p>In March, the president invoked the Alien Enemies Act, allowing the executive branch to detain or deport noncitizens it deems &#8220;dangerous,&#8221; particularly those administration officials say are part of the gang\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/ice-tattoos-tren-de-aragua-venezuela-gang\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Tren de Aragua<\/a><\/span>.
