Beijing&#8217;s move takes effect Saturday and follows President Trump hiking U.S. levies on imports from China to a 145%.<\/p>\n<p>As of 6:18 a.m. EDT, S&amp;P 500 futures were up 0.60%, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures had climbed 0.48% and futures for the Nasdaq composite were 0.69% higher, Yahoo Finance reported.<\/p>\n<p>Markets in Asia were under pressure Friday following a <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/stock-market-down-trump-tariff-trade-war-04-10-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">swoon on Wall Street Thursday<\/a><\/span>, French news agency AFP reported.<\/p>\n<p>Tokyo fell more than 4% \u2014 a day after surging more than nine percent \u00a0\u2014 while Sydney, Seoul, Singapore and others also sagged.  <\/p>\n<p>European markets lost ground after China&#8217;s latest trade salvo.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- data-recirc-source=\"queryly\" --><\/p>\n<aside class=\"component list recirculation
