Leclerc, Intermarch\u00e9 and Cooperative U told the AFP news agency last month that they had suffered a cyberattack.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Reuters said Ahold, the Dutch grocery store chain, had reported a cybersecurity incident to police in the Netherlands in October after detecting suspicious activity in its infrastructure. ICA and Coop both told AFP they had no immediate information about their systems being subjected to a cyberattack.<\/p>\n<p>ICA told AFP &#8220;a limited number&#8221; of its stores were affected, but it did not provide a number. to the still-unattributed hack, European Union food and agriculture commissioner Christophe Hansen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CHansenEU\/status\/2109597651390071291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said in a post on X<\/a> that &#8220;food security requires more attention at all levels,&#8221; calling the &#8220;exploitation&#8221; of vulnerabilities in such essential, networked systems a new &#8220;reality.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Targeting equipment essential to the preservation of fresh products and to the food supply of the French people is of extreme gravity and is
