Another 34 people were injured, including five children, Zelenskyy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ZelenskyyUa\/status\/2113173153807569079?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> Thursday, hours <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/stephen-hubbard-back-us-release-russian-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">after Russia released American Stephen Hubbard<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/russia-ukraine-war-witkoff-putin-trump-zelenskyy\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">met<\/a><\/span> with Russian President Vladimir Putin and called him a <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/steve-witkoff-putin-humanitarian-backlash\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">humanitarian<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Last night, the Russians used, among other weapons against Kyiv, three ballistic missiles with cluster warheads,&#8221; Zelenskyy <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ZelenskyyUa\/status\/2113247024518684864?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote on X<\/a>\u00a0Thursday. &#8220;The distinguishing feature of these missiles is that they detonate in the air as they approach the target, striking everything within a 400-meter diameter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>More than 100 countries have banned the use of cluster bombs under <a href=\"https:\/\/treaties.un.org\/pages\/viewdetails.aspx?src=treaty&amp;mtdsg_no=xxvi-6&amp;chapter=26&amp;clang=_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Convention on Cluster Munitions<\/a>, an international treaty that was adopted in 2008. Secretary of State Marco Rubio later said that Mr. Trump has been &#8220;frustrated&#8221; by what he described as false accusations that &#8220;he is doing things to deliberately harm Ukraine.&#8221; He insisted that nothing had been &#8220;deliberately denied to Ukraine,&#8221; but added: &#8220;It&#8217;s simply, it&#8217;s a balance between our obligations to other partners and frankly our own
