Before the electric company could respond, another charging station caught fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">There were 12 charging stations at the site, according to <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tesla.com\/findus?bounds=42.97454167773843%2C-70.35533246777342%2C42.128815281446265%2C-72.59242353222655&amp;location=LittletonMAsupercharger&amp;functionType=nacs\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">a Tesla map<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<aside across the country have been targeted with protests and vandalism since Mr. Trump became president and chose Mr. Musk to <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/02\/05\/us\/politics\/trump-musk-relationship.html\" title=\"\">accelerate his agenda<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The protests have reflected to Mr. Musk and his recent political moves, including his radical <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/02\/28\/us\/politics\/musk-federal-bureaucracy-takeover.html\" title=\"\">takeover of the federal bureaucracy<\/a> and his efforts to cut federal jobs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">On Thursday, federal prosecutors charged a Colorado resident with malicious destruction of property, accusing her of spray painting the word \u201cNazi\u201d onto the side of a Tesla dealership and planting an incendiary device near a vehicle, according to a <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-co\/pr\/lyons-resident-charged-connection-series-incidents-loveland-tesla-dealership\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">news release<\/a> from the U.S. attorney in Colorado.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Some vehicle owners are now <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/03\/03\/business\/tesla-boycott-elon-musk.html\" title=\"\">selling their Teslas<\/a> to distance themselves from the billionaire chief
