Marset, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dea.gov\/stories\/2025\/2025-05\/2025-05-21\/wanted-sebastian-marset-added-dea-fugitives-list\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on the U.S.&#8217; most-wanted fugitives list<\/a>, was passed to agents of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration at the Santa Cruz airport, then put on a U.S. airplane, state TV showed. In March, he made his <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/narco-trafficker-us-court-sebastian-marset-fugitive\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">first appearance<\/a><\/span> in a federal court in Virginia.<\/p>\n<p> Local media on Wednesday broadcast a video purporting to show Marset on the day of his arrest declaring: &#8220;Mariaca is my friend.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> AFP has been unable to verify the authenticity of the video.<\/p>\n<p> Police also raided the headquarters of the public prosecutor&#8217;s office in the southern city of Sucre, according to footage shared by the police on social media.<\/p>\n<p> Surrounded by hooded police officers, Claudia Pardo, head of communications for the prosecutor&#8217;s office, denounced the raid as &#8220;illegal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> She told AFP later that she was under arrest.<\/p>\n<p> The public prosecutor&#8217;s offices in Santa Cruz and La Paz were also targeted in the nationwide
