The arms are not lined, but with a fleece lined torso and hood, the sweatshirt is plenty warm in my opinion. The elastic around the waist is a little relaxed, but stronger on the sleeve cuffs. Since I\u00e2\u0080\u0099ve had issues with Amazon\u00e2\u0080\u0099s size recommendations in the past, I ordered both large and medium sizes to be safe. I\u00e2\u0080\u0099m 6\u00e2\u0080\u0099 tall , 150 lbs (tall, slim, long arms), and the large size fits me how I like (medium was far too tight under the arms). I like to layer under my sweatshirts, but I don\u00e2\u0080\u0099t like the oversized, baggy look. The large size of this sweatshirt fits me properly under the arms, there\u00e2\u0080\u0099s no excess bulk around the torso, and arms are a good length . I typically wear a medium size, which is what Amazon recommended; however, this hoodie runs small. I was going to return the medium, but it fit my daughter and she wanted it as a Cmas present. Bonus! Now we have dad and daughter fluffy sweatshirt day.I\u00e2\u0080\u0099ve washed these inside out a few times using the delicates cycle on and so far they\u00e2\u0080\u0099ve held up great. If you want something with a bit more room to have a baggier hoodie, go up a size as normal, but with the cozy interior, you might want a snug fit.
