Title: A real work horse
Review: The mechanics on this one are a huge improvement from my past one (4 years old). Picks up pet hair you would never know was hiding on your floors. A trick for extra awesome mop power is to get a spray bottle and mist your floor with additional solution. That really gets the mop pad working well. At times you may think it is getting stuck but it is actually deep cleaning and will move on eventually. If it does get stuck the app will alert you. I run this robot every day. I love it.

Title: Love it
Review: I love that you can connect the robot through Wi-Fi and start it whenever you want. I honestly use it every day because of my dogs and it works so well. I’ll use it every day just to keep the house clean and then I will use our shark vacuum on the weekends to get the spots that the robot didn’t get. It says that the robot doesn’t go on carpet, but mine goes on our area rugs just fine! I love it so much, I ordered my parents one for Christmas.I will say the mop part is not the best! You have to get specific cleaner for the mop part. You can’t just put any cleaner solution in it. I usually put water and a little bit of solution and it will mop a little but not like it says. So honestly, you would be better off with just the vacuum instead of the vacuum and the mop like this one.

Title: Needs much improvement
Review: I wanted to like this Roomba with mop and vac technology but it kept getting stuck in recessed door frames, corners, under furniture. No matter how much we moved items and made the room brightly lit so it could work correctly, it just never completed a room. A total of 4 hours used and every completed map looks like and L or an X. No rooms completed. The mopping is just a streak of wet and the small pad drags the water across. It picked up a good amount of small debris and dog hair but the spinning brush kicks alot of bigger debris out of it’s path. I was hoping for a great little entry-level IRobot to try at 157.00 purchase price but I returned it 2 days in. Maybe if it was under $100 it would be worth it.

Title: Better dust bin design
Review: I have a j7 that gets clogged with each use in a dog shedding household. This model much better in design. This model is more likely to get lost and stuck and seems trouble finding home. Overall very pleased at sale price. Haven’t tried mopping function yet but understand that it’s light mop not a scrubber

Review: The iRobot works Great!! cleans up all the hair that is what I’m excited for. I named mine Rosie in I feel like I’m in the Jetsons. It works perfectly great. Best thing for the money battery Life stays pretty good. It learns the apartment and returns home. Can’t even tell she’s running because it is quiet.

Title: Collects a lot of dirt and dust
Review: It does a great job at cleaning the floor for sure. But the AI is still kinda dumb, especially when it comes to corners and stuff. I think they should program it to go for open spaces more and to avoid furniture, walls, and spaces. They should also put sensors on all models so it avoids objects and tight spaces like underneath my couch. It gets stuck underneath my furniture a lot. All of my furniture’s bottom legs are conveniently the exact same height of this bot: 3 inches. That goes for the living room and bedroom. They need to keep that in mind when designing these products because it’s like the perfect height for this thing to get stuck underneath everything for me. Maybe add the option to adjust the height or something like that because if it was an inch taller, then this wouldn’t be a problem. They do have attachments that can make the bumper taller, but I think they should improve this product instead. They should also emphasize the height of the bot when they sell them, I might have checked the height of all my furniture. It would be neat actually if they made more models that are much shorter, like only 1.5-2.5 inches tall that could fit under coaches like mine. or if they made them taller. or if they made the height adjustable that would be perfect. They probably should do that so I don’t have to glue attachments to my product.I don’t think there are sensors for this model, that option wasn’t available for my model, so I’m assuming this is the cheaper model that lacks sufficient features. I think things like sensors should be available on all of these bots. That way they don’t burry themselves under furniture.Overall, my floor actually does look cleaner. It does collect a ton of dust and dirt. My hard floor looks shiny, the mop also really works and they use cloths that you can put through the wash. It gets a lot of stuff out of the carpet and it vacuums under spaces like under the bed.I wasn’t expecting much from this product. I was always skeptical that the technology was too early, so I went for a cheaper model while it was 45% on sale. But now that I tried it, I’m tempted to give it away and buy an even better brand that may know to avoid furniture. I’m not sure if I want a roomba though, seeing how this is what you get for $270 when it’s not on sale. But I do hope that they improve the technology to make these things smarter and to steer clear of furniture, then this would be a revolutionary product because my floor is so clean! Hopefully the bumpers that make the bot taller that I ordered will redeem this product.Update: the bumpers that I bought did redeem this product, I no longer need to drag it out from underneath the couch. I don’t have to worry about it getting stuck in vertically tight spaces. However, it still gets stuck in horizontally tight spaces such as corners or 2 furniture legs, and there are no mods or attachments that can fix that. Also, it often gets stuck in spots like on a loose-laid carpet that is right next to a wall/couch. It has a lot of trouble navigating around objects that are not rectangular. It’s almost impossible for it to find home by itself, I have to pick it up and carry it. So it’s safe to say that the artificial intelligence is not very smart yet. Sometimes it keeps pushing itself into corners and walls and it makes a really loud noise. So for these reasons, this product will remain at 3 stars because I still have had to fish it out from being stuck and it’s kind of annoying but in a likable way because it cleans my floor. It’s basically a blind and deaf robot that sweeps and mops your home. Sometimes it crawls underneath my couch or my bed and gets stuck and then it calls me to tell me to help it get unstuck. It’s definitely not hands free, there is a lot of maintenance. These products still feel awkward. The AI’s only sense is touch. The AI has a lot of room for improvements, and I think the AI needs other senses, besides touch, such as sight or hearing. They should add settings like sensitivity to objects so that it knows to avoid them and to not worry about vacuuming everything. Just the stuff it can reach.I hope they can eventually develop these bots with more sophisticated AI, cameras, and sensors so that it knows to seek dirty and grimy spots automatically, and it knows not to get stuck. I think some of the sleeker/higher end models/brands may have some of this tech, but not this one. The technology for this model is unimpressive. I suggest to only buy this if it’s on sale and you want to try this kind of product for the first time.

Title: Honestly, I’m tempted to buy another one—highly recommended!
Review: I was initially hesitant to make this purchase due to the negative reviews, but I am thoroughly impressed with this Roomba. After charging it and updating the software, it has performed exceptionally well. It navigates my home efficiently, reaching all the nooks and crannies with ease.Perhaps the software update has addressed many of the concerns mentioned in the reviews, as my experience feels completely different. It’s like I received a totally upgraded version of the machine others described! So far, I’ve had no battery issues, and it hasn’t gotten stuck once. Honestly, I’m tempted to buy another one—highly recommended!

Title: Does not work with “virtual wall” units
Review: The website does not mention that the “virtual walls” that I use with my Roomba vacuum don’t work with this unit. You have to have a physical barrier. After blocking the exits from our kitchen did a test cleaning. The unit vacuumed well but missed a large stretch of floor. I think it got “confused” by some of the corners. The mopping was basically removing dust left by vacuum. A couple of minor spills were not removed by the mop, although easily removed by a damp paper towel. Hate to think what kind of mess would have been left with a really dirty floor.

Review: Navigation is just the worst… it has no sense of direction and just loves to get stuck in the corner or any wall. Turned it on for 1.5 hours and it got 8 sqm. The vacuum and mop function is fine, but none of that matters when it can’t clean a single room without spending the majority of the time in one spot.Would not recommend, if you’re going to buy a robot vacuum you might as well spend more money to invest in one that has mapping or at least a random mode so it doesn’t get stuck when it hits a wall. This product would be great If you had an empty square room and the robot decided to go straight when you turned it on.
