Title: Looks great and better than actual hardware
Review: I put two new insulated (R-17) carriage-style doors on our garage. The doors came with decorative hardware for handles and hinges, but I didn’t like the idea of drilling holes in these new insulated doors just for cosmetics. I was happy to find out that magnetic hardware was available. It looks real and installation couldn’t be easier. Unlike most of the other kits, this one has old-fashioned square bolt heads molded into the hardware, which looks more realistic. For the price, this kit is hard to beat.

Title: Totally transforms the look of your garage
Review: Application was very easy âtook maybe fifteen minutes and the size perfectly aligns with the garage door designs. They stick on my metal garage door very well â Iâve had them for several months through a lot of heat and a lot of rain and wind â they havenât moved at all. No rust issues. Good quality. Iâve purchased hundreds of items from Amazon over the years and these magnets are in my top ten! They totally transformed the âcookie cutter look of my garage and house. They look like real windows unless you walk right up to them and stare at them and realize you canât see through them because they are magnets, not glass windows. Very happy with purchase and highly recommend this product.

Title: Easy way to spruce up doors
Review: Our garage door company actually recommended these! Instead of paying him four times as much for installed brackets and door handles, these magnets were the perfect way to get the look I wanted. No issues with movement as the magnets are very strong. I love that the handles are 3D and come off the door. Ordered three sets to have one on the single door as well. Could have used just one set on the double door but prefer the look of all individual doors.

Title: functional, look good, great value
Review: This hardware set is great, so far. Bought 2 sets, and installed them 3 days ago. Cycled garage doors at least 10 times since I installed the hardware (i.e., hinges and handles). All pieces have stayed exactly where I installed them (i.e., they have not moved at all). After 10+ door cycles, the magnets have proven to be plenty strong enough to hold the hardware in-place. After removing the old metal hardware, I filled the screw holes and then thoroughly cleaned the garage door to remove dirt, grime, and rust stains. I don’t yet know how the new plastic hardware will hold up in the sun (i.e., don’t know if it will eventually discolor and/or become brittle)—time will tell, but if they last a couple of years, then they’re worth it to me because I can simply order another set for a relatively cheap price. The magnets are prone to rusting and may form rust spots on the garage door, so I applied 2 coats of matte clear coat (spray) to the magnets, hoping to avoid potential rusting—we’ll see if it works. The clear coat does not affect the magnets’ ability to “stick” to the steel garage door. The hinges look great, even close-up—I can’t tell that they’re “fake.” After 10+ door cycles, the magnets have shown to be plenty strong enough to hold them in-place. Let emphasize that, the magnets have proven to hold the hardware in-place on my clean garage doors after 10+ door cycles. Got it? Read the description—the hardware is held in-place with magnets. So, if your garage door is not a material that a magnet “sticks” to, then this hardware is probably not the best option for you. So, before buying this set, try to put a magnet on your garage door to see if it “sticks” (e.g., use a fridge magnet or whatever magnet you have around the house). Got it? If your garage doors are steel and clean, and if a magnet “sticks” to it, then the magnets used to hold the hardware in-place are plenty strong enough. Got it? Based on this item’s performance so far, I would buy this set again. We’ll see how they perform over time in the sun.
