Title: Won’t last, Soft-Close feature failed in 17 months of use.
Review: We have had our TK10 just a year and five months and Soft-Close feature just broke. Now every time we open it the lid slams down and many times so hard that the compactor paddle dislodges and falls into the nasty garbage. You can’t give a good report when the can of that cost lasts less than 18 months. FYI: it is just my wife and I and we are senior citizens. The can has not been handled in a rough manner.

Title: Absolutely Love This Concept!
Review: I purchased this when I finally hit my breaking point of everyone playing Trash Can Jenga with our previous can. There was no lid, and it sat in the laundry room, away from the dogs. My family would continue to stack item after item on top until their trash wouldn’t stay on top. Once it fell, they had to take out the trash. We were using one bag every day to every other day.Sine having this can, it now sits in the kitchen. The dogs can’t get in it, and everyone smashes their trash down and whoever puts the trash in that causes the lid to not shut, they have to take the trash out. We’re now getting a bag about every 4 days because we can compact it so much more!My friends say I’m crazy for spending this much for a trash can, but it’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent!

Title: Ehhh⦠It works fine but way overpriced.
Review: I like the functionality of it. Itâs super easy to clean. Standard size and sturdy. But if Iâm being honest itâs not worth the price. Iâve seen better ones for half the price of what I paid for it. I wouldnât recommend it to a friend but it works. Save your money and buy different one.

Title: Not a trash compactor just a overpriced trash can
Review: Not what I was expecting. This is basically a trash can. Nothing special about it. The bags youâd normally use for a trash compactor donât fit ( they are too thick) smaller bags rip when you use the compactor handle and smells arenât locked in. I have this in my garage ( mainly because it was so expensive) and it doesnât work well. Gain bags are hard to find what will work and compactor handle falls off of the magnets and smells leak out. All in all buy a cheaper trash can and youâll be happier

Title: Works just fine… until it doesn’t
Review: I liked this trash can when I got it, and continued to like it over the weeks.The “compactor” portion of the lid has magnets, but they’re pretty much ineffective. You have to snap the compactor into the lid to keep it secure, but it’s easy and no hassle to do so.Those who complained about getting food waste on their arms when they compacted must not be doing it right, or at least not carefully. I’ve compacted trash all the way (even with a lot of trash in the can) and have never gotten stuff on my arms.In fact, I like everything about this can, except…After 6 weeks, the small hydraulic plunger that soft-closes the lid just completely failed internally. Everything I can see (even taking the little cover off of the mechanism at the bottom-rear) seems to be fine, but the plunger has NO resistance to it at all. Given that the lid is rather heavy with the compacting section attached, the lid can close pretty hard if you don’t slowly lower it. And given that heavy compactor section, it sometimes come loose when the lid bangs closed and falls into the can.I really wanted to like this. I really DID like it, but now that the slow-closer is broken it’s… usable… but not effective.

Title: Awesome Design Does as Described, Saves Room in Main City Trash Bin, Looks Sharp, Great Price
Review: Awesome Design! Trash Krusher TK10XL 50L It Does as Described. Saves Room in our Main City Trash Bin as the city changed out our waste bins and it holds way less trash then before. The Trash Krusher saves us Many Hassles. Also Bonus the Black Stainless Steel Is Sharp Looking too! Now I prefer the Black Stainless steel over the Chrome stainless. Also when I know I am going to be using the trash can a lot for instance when I am working in the kitchen I will set the lock on the lid to open. Price is Great too! As we were going to buy a Trash Compactor at a store here but that was out of the question price was $700.00 to $1000.00 That is sad If you received a damaged Trash Krusher if it was me I would have them send me a new one & take back the broken one. Also I use the regular tall kitchen garbage bags & and I stretch the top edges in several different places carefully so as not to rip the bag, then the bag fits around the top that way I don’t have to buy special bags.

Title: It is a TRASH CAN. If youâre buying it for a compactor, DONâT!
Review: Had to send the first one back due to the inner plastic bin being broken, and the lid scratched. The second one LOOKED beautiful and matched my Bosch black stainless appliancesâ¦but thatâs ALL it doesâ¦LOOKS GOOD! There is literally a magnetic cutout in the lid that you use to âcompactâ your trash⦠just be ready to put dents in your lid when trying to snap it back in place, and thatâs AFTER you clean all the trash off it. And donât expect to âcompactâ much. Itâs actually EASIER to just use your hand. Very easy to scratch and dent, shows EVERY fingerprint, and is NOT easy to put new bags in it. WAY OVERPRICED and definitely NOT a COMPACTOR! There is absolutely NOTHING that adds any extra compacting force built into this can, and if you push too hard, the center cutout/handle will just bend, and then not snap back in place. Great LOOKING can, and if was about half the price, would get 5 stars! So if youâre just looking for a trash can to go along with your black stainless kitchen, THIS is your can! If you need a trash compactor, sorryâ¦itâs definitely NOT up for the job!

Title: Holds the garbage real good
Review: Honestly, this is a great trash can. I got it because I hate taking out the trash, and so does everyone else in my house.We have a serious case of “someone else will do it”, which of course means I end up doing it. I do not know how many mornings I got up and there was garbage (wrappers, boxes, etc) ON TOP of the old garbage can.I saw this one and first off, liked the shape. I had around one before and this will just hold more.Second, I liked the idea of the “compactor”. When I got it I thought “it will help a little, smash it down so I can pull tur bag out easier.”Here’s the thing though. I usually had to take the trash out every other day. First week using this can, I only had to take the trash out once. No change in volume, just used the compactor.It also kept tur smell in very well.I liked it so much, I bought another one for the recycling.
