In the audio, Davis could be heard telling LAPD he had conversations with Sean \u201cPuffy\u201d Combs about killing Shakur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One person called to testify on Thursday, Devonta Lee, told the jury many times that he did not want to be there but was forced under a court order. He was a friend of Anderson who joined the South Side Crips.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>LIVE UPDATES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Diaz he tried to corroborate w\/ books also.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Sanft points out Diaz had artistic license. Interview subject signs release form.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Davis hands Sanft paper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanft: did you ever see the actual contract?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diaz: No<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanft: any residuals given to Davis?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diaz: not that I know, unlikely<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanft: Was the interview done in a way where he promised to tell the truth?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diaz. No\u2026 Assumed he was telling the truth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanft points out it wasn\u2019t under oath. Davis provided details in interview. Says he corroborated with Mike Dorsey &amp; Greg Kading..also Mob James &amp; others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diaz says Davis was not dressed appropriately the first time, and he was concerned he would not show up the second time (might back out) so he interviewed him anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Davis came back dressed up and they did second interview.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanft continues questions\u2026Davis smirks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanft: What contract was set up between Duane Davis and the company?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diaz says he doesn\u2019t know. Diaz says he handed him a check at some point and doesn\u2019t remember the installments. Diaz reiterates he\u2019s not sure what was agreed upon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cross examination from defense attorney Michael Sanft: Discussing \u2018Murder Rap,\u2019 Greg Kading\u2019s book.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diaz says he is in the business of creating compelling television or films. Diaz says he doesn\u2019t necessarily do reality TV shows, somewhat manufactured. Says he makes documentaries, which are traditionally based in journalism, and that truth is compelling enough to draw an audience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Says Davis brought his attorney, Wayne Higgins, during his interviews. Davis was seen on video saying 9\/7\/96 is the night that changed his life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prosecutor: Was your show scripted at all?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Diaz: I pride myself that my work meets\u2026standards\u2026never provided questions ahead of time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Important note: Diaz says he abided by strict standards\u2026 However, he also testified that Davis was paid for these interviews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Says BET only provided what aired.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Playing part of Death Row Chronicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Davis discussing Anderson at Suge Knight\u2019s probation hearing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Another clip shows Davis showing them where shooting occurred.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Kading says in 2008 proffer: \u201cwhat is said here cannot be used against you\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ran on BET. Six episodes. Roughly an hour each.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Says he also had access to 2008 proffer recording. Alternated between his interview with Davis and 2008 proffer audio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prosecutor wants to play part of this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanft asks to approach.
