{"id":85592,"date":"2026-08-20T21:01:45","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T21:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/the-notorious-b-i-g-s-son-claims-grandmothers-will-was-changed\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T21:01:45","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T21:01:45","slug":"the-notorious-b-i-g-s-son-claims-grandmothers-will-was-changed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/the-notorious-b-i-g-s-son-claims-grandmothers-will-was-changed\/","title":{"rendered":"The Notorious B.I.G.\u2019s Son Claims Grandmother&#8217;s Will Was Changed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- ItShrt Hip Hop Magizine News -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9431463036\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/tags\/the-notorious-b-i-g\" target=\"_blank\">The Notorious B.I.G<\/a>.&#8217;s son <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/tags\/c-j-wallace\" target=\"_blank\">Christopher Wallace Jr.<\/a> is challenging a late amendment to his grandmother <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/tags\/voletta-wallace\" target=\"_blank\">Voletta Wallace<\/a>&#8216;s will, claiming it improperly cut him and his sister T&#8217;yanna out of her estate.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/08\/20\/biggie-smalls-son-cj-wallace-claims-grandma-voletta-will-was-changed-before-she-died\/\" target=\"_blank\">TMZ<\/a> on Thursday (Aug. 20), CJ filed a petition challenging the amendment, which was signed just 15 days before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/voletta-wallace-notorious-bigs-mom-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\">Voletta&#8217;s death on Feb. 15, 2025<\/a>. He claims the change raises questions about whether it accurately reflected his grandmother&#8217;s wishes.<\/p>\n<p>Voletta&#8217;s original 2020 will reportedly divided her collection of furs, jewelry, Biggie&#8217;s music awards, a Mercedes-Benz SUV, property in Jamaica and other assets between CJ and T&#8217;yanna, with some items going to Voletta&#8217;s brother. The will also reportedly directed Voletta&#8217;s interest in the company managing Biggie&#8217;s estate to her foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Following Biggie&#8217;s death in 1997, Voletta acquired a 50 percent interest in the company overseeing her son&#8217;s estate. She managed the business alongside Biggie&#8217;s widow, Faith Evans, until her death.<\/p>\n<p>CJ claims the amendment signed shortly before Voletta died removed her grandchildren as beneficiaries and named Big&#8217;s former manager, Wayne Barrow, as executor of her estate.<\/p>\n<p>In his filing, CJ raised concerns about his grandmother&#8217;s condition at the time the amendment was executed. He claims Voletta&#8217;s health had significantly declined, that she was taking numerous medications and was frequently confined to bed. He also questioned the signatures on the document, arguing they appear &#8220;facially inconsistent&#8221; with Voletta&#8217;s signatures and should be examined by an expert.<\/p>\n<p>CJ is asking the court to invalidate the amendment and immediately remove Barrow as executor.<\/p>\n<p>The legal dispute comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/biggie-wayne-barrow-wins-catalog-lawsuit-faith-evans\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barrow recently scored a victory against Faith<\/a>, with a judge ruling that she must
