{"id":84532,"date":"2026-08-14T00:11:27","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T00:11:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/diddy-countersues-rodney-jones-claims-he-stole-footage-from-him\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T00:11:27","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T00:11:27","slug":"diddy-countersues-rodney-jones-claims-he-stole-footage-from-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/diddy-countersues-rodney-jones-claims-he-stole-footage-from-him\/","title":{"rendered":"Diddy Countersues Rodney Jones, Claims He Stole Footage From Him"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- ItShrt Hip Hop Magizine News -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9431463036\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/tags\/diddy\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sean &#8220;Diddy&#8221; Combs<\/a> is countersuing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lilrodmadeit\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">Rodney &#8220;Lil Rod&#8221; Jones,<\/a> claiming the producer stole his footage for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/tags\/50-cent\/\" target=\"_blank\">50 Cent<\/a>&#8216;s Netflix documentary.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents obtained by <i>XXL<\/i> on Thursday (Aug. 13), the Bad Boy Records founder filed a counterclaim on Tuesday (Aug. 11) against Jones, who is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/diddy-sued-producer-lil-rod-sexual-assault-harassment\/\" target=\"_blank\">suing him for sexual assault, harassment and unpaid work.<\/a> In the filings, the rap mogul&#8217;s attorneys accused Jones of &#8220;shamelessly abusing his position of trust to gain unauthorized access to video footage belonging to Diddy to violate federal and state laws and&#8230;to spread baseless lies about Mr. Combs in pursuit of an undeserved payout.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Diddy&#8217;s attorneys claim that Jones stole computer drives containing footage intended for the music executive&#8217;s own documentary about his life and instead sold it to Netflix and\/or 50 Cent for his documentary about the music mogul.<\/p>\n<p>The four-part docuseries, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/sean-combs-the-reckoning-docuseries-new-info\/\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Sean Combs: The Reckoning<\/i><\/a>, executive produced by 50 Cent, chronicled Diddy&#8217;s rise and fall, including years of sexual misconduct and his subsequent arrest for his sex crimes. The doc racked up millions of views and nabbed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/50-cent-emmy-nominations-diddy-documentary\/\" target=\"_blank\">three Emmy nominations, much to Fif&#8217;s glee.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a result of Mr. Jones&#8217;s unlawful conduct, Mr. Combs lost the exclusive use of his footage and suffered significant<br \/>financial and reputational harm,&#8221; Diddy&#8217;s attorneys argue in their counterclaim.<\/p>\n<p><i>XXL<\/i> has reached out to Diddy&#8217;s legal team for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Since filing his bombshell $30 million lawsuit, Rodney Jones has remained steadfast on his claims that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/lil-rod-interview-diddy-monster-drugs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Diddy sexually assaulted him<\/a> and coerced him into sexual encounters with sex workers while working on the rap executive&#8217;s Grammy-nominated album, <i>Love Album: Off The Grid<\/i>, between September of 2022 and November of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s a monster. He&#8217;ll do whatever is necessary to get exactly what he wants. He doesn\u2019t take no for an answer. He [told me] himself, &#8216;I&#8217;ll smack my mama.&#8217; Anybody who can say that even jokingly is a monster,&#8221; he told <i>Rolling Stone<\/i> in August of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Jones&#8217; lawsuit is just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/diddy-allegations\/\" target=\"_blank\">one of several<\/a> that have been filed against Diddy since November of 2023.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:center\">Watch Law&amp;Crime Network&#8217;s P.
