{"id":46969,"date":"2025-11-13T23:42:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T23:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/tory-lanez-loses-appeal-in-megan-thee-stallion-shooting-case\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T23:42:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T23:42:12","slug":"tory-lanez-loses-appeal-in-megan-thee-stallion-shooting-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/tory-lanez-loses-appeal-in-megan-thee-stallion-shooting-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Tory Lanez Loses Appeal In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- ItShrt Hip Hop Magizine News -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9431463036\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/artist\/tory-lanez\">Tory Lanez<\/a>\u2018s conviction for shooting <a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/artist\/megan-thee-stallion\">Megan Thee Stallion<\/a> has been upheld after losing his appeal.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian rapper, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence over the 2020 incident, saw his appeal get rejected on Wednesday (November 12) by the appellate court, who found \u201cno errors\u201d in his conviction nor his sentence.<\/p>\n<p>In their 46-page ruling, the judges concluded that the testimony was \u201cmore than sufficient to support the jury\u2019s finding that [Tory Lanez] personally inflicted great bodily injury on [Megan Thee Stallion].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tory (real name Daystar Peterson) made a number of claims in his appeal, including that evidence was improperly admitted, prosecutors engaged in misconduct during the 2022 trial and the jury was improperly instructed.<\/p>\n<p>He also argued that the court should have sentenced him to the low term instead of the middle term.<\/p>\n<p>Tory was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.<\/p>\n<p>The highly-publicized incident occured in July 2020 during a party at Kylie Jenner\u2019s Hollywood Hills home and resulted in Megan Thee Stallion being <a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/megan-thee-stallion-foot-injury-photos-tory-lanez-shooting\/\">wounded in both feet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Megan, she and Tory were arguing in the street when the <em>Alone At Prom<\/em> rapper told her to \u201cdance, bitch\u201d and fired a weapon, injuring her in the feet.<\/p>\n<p>She claimed that Tory later offered her $1 million to not say anything about what happened.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion was <a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/megan-thee-stallion-restraining-order-tory-lanez-emotional-testimony\/\">granted a five-year restraining order<\/a> against Lanez over allegations that he was harassing her online from prison through third parties.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- ItShrt Hip Hop Magizine News -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9431463036\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tory Lanez\u2018s conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion has been upheld after losing his appeal.
