That was the common law meaning and the federal meaning under Bitty and Caminetti. If this Court were to apply that meaning, the statute would plainly be unconstitutional\u2014which the government does not dispute.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diddy\u2019s attorneys also claim there is \u201cno evidence revealing any intent to pay escorts for sex during or before the travel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diddy is set to remain behind bars until his sentencing hearing takes place next month.<\/p>\n<p>Since the trial, which saw the rapper and producer found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering, Diddy has made bids for bail, e<a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/diddy-denied-50-million-bail\/\">ach of which have been denied by the judge<\/a> who claims the record executive had failed to prove there are \u201cexceptional\u201d reasons for why he should be released.<\/p>\n<p>Diddy\u2019s history of domestic violence was also cited in the reasoning behind denying him bail.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/diddy-reached-out-to-donald-trump-over-pardon\/\">Diddy has also reportedly reached out to Donald Trump<\/a> in a bid to secure a presidential pardon.<\/p>\n<p>One of Diddy\u2019s defense team, Nicole Westmoreland, said to\u00a0<em>CNN<\/em>\u00a0that overtures had been made to the president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s my understanding that we\u2019ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,\u201d Westmoreland said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has previously intimated that he would not be willing to pardon Diddy,
