{"id":39705,"date":"2025-09-06T02:40:30","date_gmt":"2025-09-06T02:40:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/dame-dash-files-for-bankruptcy\/"},"modified":"2025-09-06T02:40:30","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T02:40:30","slug":"dame-dash-files-for-bankruptcy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.itshrt.com\/hiphopmagizine\/dame-dash-files-for-bankruptcy\/","title":{"rendered":"Dame Dash Files For Bankruptcy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- ItShrt Hip Hop Magizine News -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9431463036\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/artist\/dame-dash\/\">Dame Dash<\/a> has officially filed for bankruptcy as his legal issues and substantive debts continue to mount.<\/p>\n<p>The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder has debts totalling $25 million relating to lost legal cases, an enormous tax bill and unpaid child support payments.<\/p>\n<p>According to legal documents, Dash claims he he has assets of less than $5,000.<\/p>\n<p>He also says he receives no monthly income yet has expenses of around $2,500.<\/p>\n<p>The documents state that the record executive\u2019s largest asset is the $2,500 he owns in jewelry and clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Dash owes $8.7 million in taxes to the state of New York and IRS while the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance is also owed $9.65 million.<\/p>\n<p>Further debts to the government $5.79 million to Los Angeles County and $3.5 million to New Jersey over back taxes that have not been paid.<\/p>\n<p>In total, Dash owes the government around $19 million.<\/p>\n<p>Dash\u2019s next biggest debt is to filmmaker Josh Webber, to whom he owes $4 million after losing a legal case to the film producer.<\/p>\n<p>Dash also owes former partners more than $500,000 in unpaid child and spousal support while the New York City Department of Social Services say he owes them a further $487,000.<\/p>\n<p>A number of other smaller creditors are also listed, bringing the total Dash owes to around $25 million.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/jay-z-called-out-for-not-supporting-dame-dash-amid-financial-woes\/\">JAY-Z was recently called out by Lance \u201cUn\u201d Rivera for not supporting Dash amid his financial woes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rivera, who it was once believed was stabbed by the rap legend, criticized Jay for not reaching into his pockets to help his former friend and business partner.<\/p>\n<p>Asked about Dame\u2019s perilous finances by The Art of Dialogue, he replied: JAY-Z, I hate to keep bringing your name up, but I think it\u2019s some sucker shit.
