When I came up with the idea to make the Death Row chain\u2014one, it had never been done before. Two, it was like wearing a, you know, it was like having your flag, your rag. You can\u2019t tuck it, It means something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Death Row co-founder continued: \u201cThat\u2019s not 2Pac\u2019s chain. It\u2019s not a Death Row chain. Whoever sold you that chain, Drake, you need to go beat his motherfucking ass. Crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"optanon-category-C0003\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9; width:100%; height:auto; display:block;\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/xHlEHPAJc5w\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Drake has long had a fascination with 2Pac\u2019s jewelry, leading to <a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/kendrick-lamar-drake-2pac-ring-return\/\">Kendrick Lamar demanding the return of the \u201cCalifornia Love\u201d rapper\u2019s ring to the West Coast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During his explosive \u201cPop Out\u201d concert in Los Angeles last year, K.Dot made the demand while performing his diss track \u201cEuphoria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kendrick changed the lyrics to the song and rapped:\u00a0<em>\u201cGive me 2Pac\u2019s ring back and I might give you a little respect.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On the original version of the track, he said: \u201c<i data-stringify-type=\"italic\">Somebody had told me that you got a ring, on God, I\u2019m ready to double the wage\/ I\u2019d rather do that than let a Canadian n-gga make \u2018Pac turn in his grave.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The ring Kendrick Lamar is referring to is a piece of jewelry\u00a0<a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/drake-2pac-crown-ring\">Drake bought at auction last year for over $1 million that belonged to 2Pac before he died.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ring is made of gold, ruby and diamonds, and features an inscription that reads: \u201cPac &amp; Dada 1996,\u201d referencing the late rapper\u2019s engagement to his girlfriend Kidada Jones.<\/p>\n<p>2Pac famously wore the ring during his final public appearance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, just days before he was\u00a0<a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/2pac-murder-keefe-d-bullets-forensic-testing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tragically killed at the age of 25 in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While the identity of the winning bidder was initially kept a secret, Drake later revealed that he was in fact the buyer of the ring, which became the most valuable Hip Hop artifact ever sold at auction.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- ItShrt Hip Hop Magizine News -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6606220950177433\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"9431463036\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suge Knight has claimed that the 2Pac chain purchased by Drake is actually a fake.
