It\u2019s because it\u2019s related back to the fact that you showed that the criminal justice system is corrupt and prosecutors, at times, hide evidence. You did that. You are a hero. Thank you for teaching everybody the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, <a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/young-thug-reflects-on-decision-to-take-plea-deal-in-rico-case\/\">Thug reflected on his decision to take a plea deal<\/a> in his trial which saw him released from jail but facing a lengthy period of probation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Brian Steel tells Young Thug that more people are beating their cases as a direct result of the YSL trial showing the world how prosecutors hide evidence <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GxTxJb6xoz\">pic.twitter.com\/GxTxJb6xoz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 THUGGERDAILY \u3072 (@ThuggerDaily) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ThuggerDaily\/status\/1951715823162380616?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 2, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gq.com\/story\/young-thug-speaks-about-his-new-album-uy-scuti-and-life-after-jail\"><em>GQ<\/em><\/a>, the rap superstar has been contemplating his decision to accept the plea and was asked if he found it difficult to make.<\/p>\n<p>He replied: \u201cAbsolutely. Just pleading to something you know that you didn\u2019t do is crazy. But you get a chance to keep fighting. [You can] worry about the jury\u2019s fate, or you [can] just go ahead now and go home. It\u2019s like shit. Go home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thug also discussed what he was banned from rapping about due to the plea deal: \u201cI can\u2019t do nothing like gang things or stuff like that on the internet. I can really talk about what I want to talk about in music. I normally rap about cool things. I just got a few lyrics where I just rap about street stuff and those are the lyrics that they tried to use against me. But most of the time I don\u2019t rap about that type of stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also blasted the decision to ban him from visiting Atlanta as \u201cabuse\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>If Thugger is ruled to have broken his probation, then he faces 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Fans are still waiting for the Atlanta rapper to drop <em>Uy Scuti<\/em>, which would be his first album since his release from jail.
