Now the\u00a0alleged victim\u00a0has asked a jury to award her $73.6 million in damages.<\/p>\n<h3>Soulja Boy May Have to Pay the Price If Found Guilty<\/h3>\n<p>During the\u00a0last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/XXL\/status\/1904899719215608094\" target=\"_blank\">Soulja Boy has suited up<\/a> and shown face in court to tell his side of the story against a woman accusing him of heinous crimes. The accuser, who has asked to remain anonymous in the court proceedings, claims she was\u00a0raped, beaten and imprisoned by the rapper while employed as his personal assistant. In closing arguments for the civil trial on Monday (April 7), her attorneys demand\u00a0Soulja Boy pay the woman\u00a0$73.6 million despite him <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/soulja-boy-testimony-rape-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\">denying any wrongdoing<\/a>, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/woman-suing-rapper-soulja-boy-asks-jury-to-award-73-6-million\/\" target=\"_blank\">Courthouse News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ron Zambrano,\u00a0the victim&#8217;s lawyer, didn&#8217;t hold back when describing what Soulja Boy allegedly did to her. &#8220;He raped her,&#8221; Zambrano explained. &#8220;He punched her. He kicked her. He cut her. He pointed a Draco gun at her. He locked her in her room \u2026 He told her, &#8216;I hope you die slow.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If the jury\u00a0decides in favor of\u00a0the whopping monetary award, Soulja&#8217;s legal team can appeal.\u00a0 &#8220;If you don\u2019t believe my client, don\u2019t give her a dollar,&#8221; Zambrano said. &#8220;But if you do believe her, give her everything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Soulja Boy&#8217;s attorney, Rickey\u00a0Ivie, released a statement to <em>XXL<\/em> following the woman&#8217;s jury request. &#8220;Her claim for damages is grossly exaggerated and unfounded just as her allegations are unfounded and unsubstantiated,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>On Jan. 21, 2021,\u00a0Soulja was sued\u00a0in Los Angeles Superior Court by an anonymous former female employee who had been working with him since 2018. Besides the horrible allegations, she also claims he\u00a0never paid her any wages after they agreed upon $500 a week. Shortly after in 2019, they\u00a0were involved\u00a0in a romantic relationship that turned abusive. The only money she claims she received was $1,000 as a &#8220;remorse payment&#8221; after he allegedly raped her.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On one occasion, defendant Way [Soulja Boy] punched plaintiff so hard in the head, she lost consciousness, only to wake up in a locked bedroom with no mattress, food or water,&#8221; the lawsuit read. &#8220;On another occasion when plaintiff tried to quit and leave defendant Way, defendant Way locked her in a room for approximately three days against her will with no hot water until she was coerced into not leaving.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The trial began on March 13,\u00a0and has included both sides throwing jabs over the he said-she said details of their relationship and working environment. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xxlmag.com\/soulja-boy-testimony-rape-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\">Soulja proclaimed<\/a> his innocence and insisted he never touched the\u00a0woman in a manner to harm her. Volatile text messages he sent to the woman were discussed in court, but the rhymer said they were not meant to be threatening or violent.
