hip hop wall in Zumbahua

I took this photo just after encountering the Pachakutik rally in Zumbahua. Zumbahua is a rural indigenous community near the Quilotoa volcanic crater. I found this image particularly interesting because hip hop historically was the musical response to white oppression by urban black communities in the latter half of the 20th century in the United States. A symbol of cross cultural exchange, and resistance to oppression.
