I am just guessing on this one!The lub has worked really well on the gears of the drill.  It is exactly what was needed for the plastic gears inside the housing.  The same is true on the coffee machine, although I am still waiting for some parts to complete the repairs.  It should do the same function.  Lub the plastic gears, keeping them protected and allowing smooth operation.The price point was great.  I have every confidence in this product and would not hesitate to order it again.
