No problems.  Cut and use a piece of wood to hold your hood up while you are installing them.  You can&#8217;t compress them by hand, so you have to be able to lift the hood high enough to get them to line up.  You have to loosen the little metal bands to get the old ones off, but you can just push the new ones on without doing that. Even then I still had to use the old hockey stick method to keep the hood from dropping on my head. If you have the same thing going on, it&#8217;s time to face it&#8230;they&#8217;re shot. Time to replace them.Get these struts! They are super strong, so not only do they hold the hood up completely stable, they actually relieve the weight as you lift the hood and do most of the lifting. That&#8217;s more like it!Easy to install. Just insert the lower end first and then lift your hood as high as needed to align the upper end.
