Title: Passed my plumbing inspection with it
Review: It’s not a shiny chrome but more on the flat side, yet it still fooled everyone on my job. I do commercial plumbing and did a couple of drains in PVC and not Chrome. The customer provided the material and tried to get them to get me the correct things. I had bought this paint for another project and decided to paint the tailpieces and trap of the drains since if nothing else, it was an eye sore looking at the stainless sinks and white pipe. Looked great! See my attached pics. For these particular pics I had actual chrome traps on them but needed to spray paint the tailpieces. Perfect to see the comparison of what it’s supposed to be like.

Title: Good color and easy open lid
Review: Used this to paint plastic parts for 3 Cox .049 dune buggys. Tried another brand which gave a great finish but the lid was so dificult to remove that it snapped the stem off leaving the nearly full can useless. This gave good chrome color and the lid has a notch so you an use a screwdriver to pry it off.

Review: Stays soft forever! I painted a truck grille, let it dry in the heat for at least 4 hours. When I put the grille back in…finger prints everywhere! Plus it bright silver at best. Not even close to the chrome on the cap.

Title: No runs or drips…
Review: I am very particular about my projects, so I bought this paint. I was quite satisfied with the finish from this spray can. It can be buffed to a shiny finish if totally dried first. I was able to cover with one coat but did two for a deeper effect. Works well.

Title: Looks like chrome but…
Review: This paint is really impressive in that it looks pretty darn close to chrome. I used it on a piece of exterior automotive trim. My only complaint is that while the paint looks great, it is easily tarnished, or marred by water, the elements, etc. I still recommend this product but perhaps the formula could be improved!

Title: Easy To Use, Saves Paint!
Review: If you’d like a nice shiny bare metal/chrome look for your jet aircraft, check this out.I wasted a lot of money on trying the different tricks that seen online.Now a days, most mental style paints have enough pigment to cover on their own.I tried the Paint Your Plane Black Trick, i ended up with a plane with no lines to it.Fortunately it was a cheap model, but the expense was in the paint.See for yourself, buy a can of this, be careful to make sure it the same label if you look for it in a store.Dupli-Color has another paint out there that is similar.Instructions, Do the spoon trick.Paint one black and just sand half of the other spoon.Fist I wouldn’t go any lower than 1/100 scale plane.Always wash the parts with dish soap and let dry.Test the paint yourself, sand the inside of one wing and leave one as is.Lightly sand the other with no less than 1500 grit paper.I sprayed the spoons and tank from about 10/12″ away.Let it dry overnight, don’t judge the paint until it cures.Honestly, I have not tried any of the ways to polish or use floor wax.All I’m saying is that I’m happy with the results of this paint on my model.Cheers!

Title: Great Product.
Review: I’ve got two white vinyl garden gates in serious need of an upgrade. Previous owners messed up everything in and around my house including these gates. Replacing could cost well over $1000.00.After research about painting vinyl, I discovered that the paint needs to be specific about adhering to plastic. This paint does.Having the surface clean is a must. I spent lots of time power washing then allowing a dry time for a day. The paint goes on very well. Beware, use a fast back and forth. Even covering white with black it works. Minimal touch up, again a quick one to prevent runs.This paint dries really fast, anothr plus that I wanted. Tape off or do what you need to to prevent painting what you don’t want to. Otherwise you could have a problem.I’ve only had the gates painted a few days and they seem to be holding up well in blasting full sun typical here at the beach.A great value and quality product for the money.

Title: Seems to be made for restoring car lenses.
Review: Per Youtube instruction, I masked the car with a trash bag, wet sanded the lenses with 600 grit, 1000 and 3000 grit.I rinsed with water, I wiped the lenses with rubbing alcohol, and I waited until they dried completely. Then I did a quick light spray. I sprayed lightly again in 15 minutes. After 5 such repeat sprays, the lenses look brand new. I expected “orange peel” surface but with light sprays orange peel effect was minimal.It’s been only 2 weeks, so I don’t know how well it will hold up under UV. I’ll keep them waxed. For now, though, I’m a very happy customer.[Edit: It’s been exactly 1 year and the lenses still look good. Edit again: after about 2 years in the sun, it looked like the clear coat was peeling off. Photo is after 30 months.]

Title: Works Great but Spraying it is a bit tricky.
Review: Got this to paint my pink scooter red and it did pretty well. It is a bit tricky to apply because plastic is a different surface than metal or wood. Read the directions and be prepared to go against your grain because there is no sanding involved. Clean and Clean the surface and then paint. Go with several light coats and build up your gloss then back away. The final surface may have some flaws but overall I cant complain.

Title: Superior product, but success depends on technique.
Review: Like many others, I used this to refurbish my headlights. I got excellent results, but they would have been perfect if I’d known this beforehand:As you lay down each coat in overlapping passes (e.g., successive horizontal passes moving from lens top to bottom), you need to apply enough paint to create an even gloss on the surface AS YOU GO. Each pass will probably be fairly light, so to achieve that gloss the pass should be immediately repeated (usually once or twice) until the portion of the surface you’re hitting is uniformly wet. Too-thin coats encourage frostiness and orange peel. This stuff dries fast and does not spread or even itself after it goes on. What you see, AS IT GOES ON, is what you get. And when you’re done with a coat, don’t try to do any immediate spot-fixes where the coverage is inadequate, because the paint will already be too dry for that to work well. Just wait a few minutes for the whole thing to dry a bit and make sure the next coat (of the entire lens) is adequately heavy, which will solve the problem.That said, you also don’t want to lay it on so thick that it runs or sags, so as soon as you first achieve gloss, move on and keep going until the entire lens is done. Due to the speedy drying, it helps to work quickly. It also helps to practice a bit first.

Title: Hard to apply and get a good finish.
Review: It dries fast and adheres to raw plastic really well. But the spray nozzle takes a lot of pressure to push and is hard to control the flow rate.If you mess up, like get a run, you have to wait about 7 days before you can sand it and refinish it. It sands down easy, haven’t tried polish to restore the shine yet.I haven’t finished the project yet to see how well it holds up ti UV rays.

Title: Seems like a great product!
Review: I’ve used this on a couple of plastic surfaces and so far, so good. I initially used it to prep those horrible plastic wood-looking cabinet doors on an RV for dark grey paint. I was hesitant to just paint plastic, but it turned out really well and I was able to scrub the doors down with Pinesol and they held up perfectly. Then I used it to spray paint a mint green silverware tray white that I picked up at a garage sale as well as the little rubber/plastic drain plugs for the sink and tub and they look great! I’m impressed by how much paint I’ve managed to get out of a single can. We’ll see how everything looks in a couple of months, but so far, I’m a happy camper!

Title: Not a Good Color Match for Lexus Black Vehicles
Review: I conducted a lot of research on paint product options before I made this decision because I didn’t want to damage the paint on my Lexus. The scratch is on the front driver side fender and bumper.One of the reviewers said this product was was a good match for their Benz, so I thought it might be a good match for my Lexus.The reviewer didn’t upload any pics, and the paint on my Lexus is so reflective the pics I tried to take were more of me than the paint job, so I’ll have to just provide a good description.I’m giving this a “3” for a couple of reasons. First, the product itself works as described. It was pretty easy to get the applicator ready to paint.Second, it could have a finer applicator, but if you’re careful and don’t allow too much paint to form on the applicator you can still do a good job.Third, it drys very quickly, so be careful, mistakes are not impossible, but very difficult to correct.My biggest issue with this product it’s not a good color match for my Lexus,and a color match was the most important element for me.Thank God, I tried it on some small less noticeable areas first before I attempted to correct the main scratch for which I purchased the paint.Now I have “black spots” on my Lexus were I made the corrections. Thank God again, they were smaller corrections, so you have to be really close to see the difference.However, this is not true for two larger areas I tried to correct. They’re truly noticeable and the main reason why I realized I needed to stop using this product.Honestly, if I had used this product on the major scratch I purchased it for it would truly have produced an ugly result that would have badly damaged my paint job.The color match is so bad, I believe the scratch itself actually looks better than what I would have achieved trying to repair it with this paint.I’m returning this product.

Title: Black was great, clear coat sketchy
Review: So I did my prep work in great detail. Clean up any great off rims with alcohol before spray on the black coat. Went on really well and was so shiny and new looking. But I had bought the accompanying clear coat as well. The clear coat wasn’t as shiny as the regular paint and it’s almost dusting looking and felt sandy on the surface after. I will reserve final judgement after washing it and seeing how it looks after cleaning up the dusting looking final coat. Overall pretty good and my friends thinks it looks factory. If only I felt like the clear coat added to the final finish than taking away from it

Title: Amazing quality!
Review: I used this after the silver rustoleum paint I used last time was wearing off my wheels. I prepped the wheels and used “Rustoleum Rust Reformer” as the primer. I sprayed about 4-5 coats of the bronze paint to ensure good coverage. It looks great and I have received lots of compliments on my new wheels. Get this stuff it’s great, and the color looks even better in person.

Review: I like the color and quality of the paint itself but I did have a problem with the cans spitting blobs of paint onto the wheels as I painted. I was wiping off the nozzle frequently but this still happened. I will have to color sand before I clearcoat.

Review: Great buy! Perfect match for my sliver wheels. I currently had some curb rashes on my Enkei wheels. I decided to take it upon myself to do this simple DIY project. This can be down with the wheels still on the car, but much easier when they are off. You can easily touch up without needing to paint the whole wheel, it will blend nicely if done correctly.Things you will need:1)This paint 2) 220 & 400 Grit sandpaper 3) Wax and grease remover (or something to THOROUGHLY clean your wheels) 4) Glazing and Spot Putty (Depending how bad the curb rash or scratch might be) 5) MOST IMPORTANT some patience*The utmost important step is the prep work, you should spend a good amount of time prepping the wheel(s) for the paint. First, I used 220 grit sandpaper and sanded down the areas that I was planning on touching up (smoothing it out). Then, MOST important step is to THOROUGHLY clean your wheels with some wax and grease remover (or something safe on wheels of course, don’t use just water and rag). Now your ready to fill in those scratches before paint, depending how bad the curb rash is or how deep the scratch(s) might be. I already had some “Glazing and Spot Putty” which is used on exterior of the car to fill in scratches. I confirmed that it was indeed safe to go ahead and use the “Premium Glazing and Spot Putty” on the scratches on the wheel. I actually had “Dupli-Color Automotive Touch-up Repair Kit” which came with the “Glazing and Spot Putty”. Use your fingers to apply it on the scratch, thus filling it in. And use your finger to smooth it out. OR if you prefer to use something else like a card, go ahead. But personally I found it a lot easier and came out better when I used my fingers to apply the “Glazing and Spot Putty.” Wait for it to dry (how ever long that might be), then your ready to sand it down once again. I had some 400 grit sandpaper which I used to re-sand down the area(s) where the putty was applied. Sand very lightly with the 400 grit, the idea is just to smooth out the putty you just applied and get out any excess putty that may have been over applied. Second to last step, is to once again clean your wheels to remove any excess dust from sanding and also any other dirt that may have shown up on the wheels as you were working with them. Lastly before your ready to paint, you will need to mask off a few areas before your ready to paint if your planning on leaving the wheels on the car. Tape around the wheel itself and also cover up the tire as well. Take a garbage bag cut it in half and make sure you cover your rotors and disc breaks etc. Now, your finally ready to paint. You don’t need to apply any primer (only if your changing the wheel color.) Lightly spray the areas you’ve just been working on. Wait 10-15 mins inbetween each coat. Apply at least 3-4 coats. Wait about an hour or two before you use the car again.Oh yeah, Fast shipping as well! Haha
