What do I need to do a proper paint job?

Can You Smooth Out Touch-Up Paint on a Car?

If your DIY car paint repair project comes out a little uneven, you can try using a bit of rubbing compound on it to level off the paint. If that doesn’t work, wet-sanding with a very fine sandpaper should fix it.

How to use the touch up paint pen

1.Prepare & Clean – The surface must be clean and dry.

3.There is two ways to use the touch up paint. The high precision needle like pen is inside the lid

(with a black protective tip that stays inside the lid) – a firm pull will access this.

4.Advice – No rush, take your time. Test on paper get steady hand and right amount paint !!!

5.Paint – With either pen or brush squeeze gently/apply thin,

light coats in smooth strokes; ensuring you only apply the paint within the damaged area.

6.Finish – Leave the paint to dry for 10 minutes

Title: Good Quality Paint, But Fine Tip Needs Improvement
Review: I recently used this paint for my rims and found it to be of good quality and relatively easy to use. The color matched my matte black rims perfectly, making it a better choice for me than black nail polish or other alternative. The paint has stayed on even after multiple washes so it seems durable. However, I did have an issue with the fine tip point–it only worked for one application before clogging. Since most off the rim rash I have is small, using the wide brush was not as convenient. The product is still a good value overall and if the fine tip issue is resolved, it would be a 5 star item.

It does a good job masking the scratches, however, getting the paint to come out of the bottle is very difficult and not very functional. Title: Don’t let it dry on your skin
Review: This stuff if great. Wear gloves and have lacquer thinner or acetone handy to remove any product that gets on your spin. Literally, it won’t come off until the layer of skin it has grabbed comes off also. This product likes to be applied over a thin patina of rust. So I clean the part completely and leave it outside for a bit to acquire a shadow of rust. The paint is very tough.

Review: I really like this Rust Bullet protection it left my Hummer nice and smooth and very glossy. I would definitely buy this again! The only thing I would do differently is use a paint gun I did it all with a paint brush but only because I wanted mine very deatailed! Title: Wrought Iron Railing Paint
Review: I was lookn for some good paint that I can apply to my railings. Didnt want Lowes OR Home Depot paint cause theirs doesn’t last long. So I searched internet and found this Rust Bullet paint. Never heard of it. Never used it. After reading the good / bad reviews online, I decided to give it a shot. I bought the quart can. Cleaned railings and applied this product. 24 hrs later ( right now ) im writing this and lookin at the railings. They are dry. They are covered. The paint is hard ( like a shell ) It didn’t take 48-72 hours to dry like can said and it did not shine super high gloss like can said. Which im happy its not super shiny gloss cause my neighbors all have flat black railings also in condo. But yes…… I definitley will use this again. It works. Im happy with it. No issues. No bad smell either.

Review: This looks like thick quality paint that appears to cover very well. I will be adding a second layer of paint and see how it holds up. if you end up not using all the paint make sure to have an alternate lid or container, you have to essentially destroy the lid to open the can.

The product does have a bit of an oder so definitely work in a well ventilated area. Hopefully the finish will stand up better than products I have used in the past…time will tell.
