Title: Genuine Toyota Factory Engine Air Filter
Review: Perfect fit filter arrived in factory OEM box ready for installation. It is very fast and simple to install on a 2014 4Runner. Saved me a bunch of money. Having the oil changed with a tire rotation at about 30,000 miles and then installing this air filter as well as an interior air filter saved me nearly $100 in labor at my local dealership. Unless there is mud or lots of dirt to clean from the outside or inside of the filter housing (good idea to clean it before opening), installation takes seconds. WIth some careful cleaning of the housing and surrounding area it can take longer. The 30,000 mile service includes the two filters and an oil change.Update:30,000 miles later, I replaced the filter again. Both the first purchase of this filter, and this March 2021 purchase had the prefilter, the correct size and the correct markings on the filter. I felt bad tossing the used filter because it was still pretty clean. If you are not driving in a group of off-roaders or in dusty conditions, 30,000 miles is probably as often as you’d ever need to change it. What surprised me is how clean the filter box was on the side that has outside air coming it. I guess she just hasn’t enjoyed as many fireroads as in pre-virus times. The filtered air side of the air filter box was spotless, as expected.Reiterated five stars. OEM filter, perfect match and fit to original, with pre-filter, and a big savings compared to what the dealer wanted to install it.

Review: It’s a filter. The filter does not come with the pre-filter as pictured. My original filter had the pre-filter, this is why I bought “OEM”. But it was about the same price as the alternative filters. I’d have no problem buying again, but you may not get a filter that has the extra foam part. It fits perfectly in my ’16 4runner.

Review: When I went to checkout I was a bit disappointed to read that this was the America made version that did not come with the pre-filter but when it arrived it was the real deal! The filter was the Japan made model WITH the pre-filter. I’m really happy with this because when the trail gets dusty I don’t want any of that to get past my airbox.
