Title: Intelligent Battery Charger that Charges!
Review: My sister’s car has a faulty alternator so her battery needs charging frequently until she can get a new alternator. She was using a battery charger from the big W retailer and it finally just stopped charging.I decided to help her out and order this Nexpeak battery charger mainly for its price point and it’s pulse repair feature. It’s a nice looking small box that you simply connect to the AC power and then connect to battery. It defaults to standard lead acid battery mode so first use was simple.While it’s charging it it shows a diagram of a battery with bars that flash and stay lit as it charges showing 0-100% in 20% increments. On the left of the display you’ll see DFS for about five minutes where it’s going through a small repair mode (desulfurization stage) then begins charging. Information was shown such as the temperature of the charger, the Voltage, and Amps. It charged between 13v and 14v staying over 9 amps having the battery almost full in as little as four hours.The charger has a built in fan as well to be sure it stays optimally cool as it charges. The quality of the box is great for the price range. It’s all plastic but it’s not super cheap feeling and the clamps are also nice. It’s small enough as well to easily take it where ever you may need it making it extremely portable.Really the only biggest draw back I can see if the AC cord is very short so either expect to have the battery very close by or grab an extension cord to hook up with it. I almost forgot the mode button on this charger too. Its a touch capacitive button which with a simple touch it will cycle modes. Those modes being STD (Standard lead acid battery), AGM/GEL, WET, Motorcycle Trickle and lastly Repair.I have seen in other reviews folks mentioning issues with the touch button in getting it to work correctly. I wonder if the issues they may be having could be due to the plastic screen protector that is on it for packaging. I removed it as soon as I took the charger out of the box and have had no issues myself.It’s charged her battery up now about three times with no issues at all and soon I’m going to test the repair mode on my battery that is aging and see what results I get. Overall though for the price it’s hard to beat and highly recommed!

Title: Useful for batteries less than 675 Cold Cranking Amps
Review: I have no complaints about the workmanship for this product. It works as described. It is not large or bulky.However, I have a high output automobile battery that is rated at more than 800 amps. This charger does not seem to adjust to high output batteries. It charged my battery to 675 amps and said “done, fully charged.”I would recommend for any battery less than 675 amps. If you have a higher output battery, you may need to buy something more heavy duty.Follow up.Still using the charger. It seems to work well. It has a digital display and well display the amperage flow on a second to second basis. It does charge at 10amps if needed.

Title: Restored a dead lawnmower battery. Already paid for itself in first week.
Review: I have a riding mower with a dead battery. I charged the battery overnight with my 2 amp charger, and it still wouldn’t even turn the engine over. The battery was purchased in June of 2023, so 2 cutting seasons. I feel like a battery should last longer than that, so I thought I would give this desulfator thing a shot. I put it on repair and ran it until it turned off. Next I put it into trickle charge mode and ran that until it said full. I disconnected it, and waited a full week before I tried to start the mower. It started right up, turning the starter good and strong. My pickup truck doesn’t get driven a whole lot. It sometimes sits a few days at a time without being started. When we had a cold spell of several days below freezing, the starter would turn over slowly. Since this item worked so well on the lawn mower, I figured I’d try it out on the pickup. I got the same great results on the truck as I did the lawn mower. I wish I would have learned about desulfators years ago. This thing is awesome.

Review: I absolutely love this charger. I’ve wasted about $300 on top brand name that died after about 4 uses. This charger really surprised me. It worked better than I expected. Review: Shipped and arrived in a timely manner. Bought this for my 2022 H-D Ultra Limited. My bike already had a dealer installed charge/accessory harness. It plugged right in and keeps my battery in road ready condition. It does come with a harness with battery clips to charge and maintain other 12V batteries as well. Good value and a must have for your power sports equipment. The only thing that would help is if it came with a leave in place harness for those that do not already have one on their vehicles. Was no issue for me as my bike already had one but all will not.

Review: Extremely easy to use, just connect to vehicle and plug it in. My first glass mat battery so I needed the proper charger. After reading all of the online descriptions, reviews and comments I purchased this one and I couldn’t be happier. I live in a very hot and humid part of the country where vehicle batteries are generally replaced after 3 years. 5 is max. Given the price for a new battery it just makes sense to keep the current one charged and properly cared for. This new Battery Tender makes that both easy and inexpensive to do. Will update my review when I know just how long my battery lasts.

Review: This is an excellent device for people that do not drive frequently and their vehicles are parked for long periods of time, especially in very cold climates. I have my battery tender plugged in my garage with the quick disconnect attached to the battery posts which simplifies hooking it back up when returning home. I love this device and feel it is completely safe to leave plugged in. Apparently, I heard that trickle chargers eventually will drain the life of your battery, but the trickle charger will not. Hope this helps.

Review: This Battery Tender does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I got the plus because some of the smaller models are now made in China. This one is still made in the USA. My bike sat all winter in a Canadian garage (Ice Cold Beers – No fridge required) with the battery still in. I was fearful that I would need a new battery. Tried starting this spring and of course it was dead. Hooked up the battery tender in the evening and the next morning she fired up on the first try! Surprisingly it actually started faster than usual. Great product!!!

Review: Just received my new charger a few days ago and it works pretty much as advertised. Based on some reviews I expected it to be rather loud but, while you can certainly hear the fan, it’s no worse than a PC case fan and not a bother at all in my shop. The unit itself is solid with good leads and decent clamps. The display is great with bright and easy to read LEDs although I haven’t tried it in direct sunlight yet. The lead storage hooks on the back should be a larger with a place to lock the clamps on but it’s better than my previous charger that had no storage at all. Although I haven’t used them yet the jump start and alternator test modes should be useful.The one complaint I have is really with the instructions. The charger is advertised as being compatible with deep-cycle marine/RV batteries and it is but neither the manual nor Schumacher website give any information on what settings to use for them. The settings are limited to Standard, AGM, and Gel with no specific deep-cycle choice. My previous charger, a very old analog Schumacher, had a two position switch, one for a standard battery (labeled SLI for starter, lighting, instrument) and the other position for deep-cycle but this one doesn’t. The manual has a convenient description of standard (wet cell), AGM, and Gel battery types but only mentions that AGM and Gel batteries are often deep-cycle while failing to mention that many deep-cycle batteries (including my own) are standard wet cells.So, what selection is best for wet-cell deep-cycle batteries? Schumacher’s answer is to use the AGM setting for all deep-cycle batteries including wet, AGM and Gel. Seems that it would be a simple addition to their manual and they might also want to consider changing the control to read AGM/Deep-Cycle.BTW, be careful of answers provided on Amazon. I received three answers (so far) to the question about deep-cycle batteries I posted, each different. One correctly identified AGM as the appropriate setting but another said Std and the third claimed it was all automatic. The charging process is fully automatic but the charger does not automatically identify the battery type. I checked this with three different types of batteries I had on hand. Each time the charger correctly identified the battery voltage but defaulted to AGM and 30amp charging regardless of the actual type of battery (Std, AGM, or Gel) or initial charge so be sure to correctly set the battery type and your desired charge rate. The default to 30amp/AGM is mentioned in the manual so there is nothing wrong with my charger. The charger does automatically transition to charged/maintaining mode once the battery is charged.The other possible issue I have is that when I started to charge an AGM battery at 6/2 amps the display showed it as being 79% charged. After about 15 minutes of charging that progressed to 80% and then 81% when it suddenly jumped to 100% and the charger went into charge/maintaining mode. According to Schumacher the big jump was typical but she couldn’t explain why so I’m not sure if the battery is 100% charged or if it’s actually only 81%. I’ll see when I actually get around to using it.

Title: works GREAT, will charge a completely dead battery
Review: I bought this battery charger because my previous, very old, charger finally stopped working. I purchased a different battery charger first but then realized that it would NOT charge a completely dead battery. This was one of the very few battery chargers on the market that will charge a completely dead battery. A battery charger that won’t do this is worthless to me as I usually only get out my battery charger when I have a dead battery. Other than that this battery charger is very easy to use, reads out the charging current and battery voltage and even estimates how much the battery is charged. It will automatically shut off when the battery is fully charged as well. When it detects that the battery is “sulfated,” a condition where a battery will not charge properly, it goes into a mode to repair the battery. This is very handy for older batteries. It will charge as low as 2 amps to maintain a battery in storage and as high as 30 amps for a very fast charge. It also provides a 100 amp battery boost which is the equivalent of a “jump start” to start a near dead car battery immediately if you are close enough to a power plug to plug it in. The battery charger is also very rugged and, of course, quite heavy too. If you drop it, no worries. It has some advanced features to diagnose a bad car alternator but I have not used this yet.

Title: Gets the job done, could have slightly better instructions.
Review: My car battery was completely dead. Completely. I followed the instructions attaching the red to connector to the + red battery terminal and the black connector to some metal under the hood. I got a 0.0V read and neither charge mode nor jump start mode would ever kick in. I must’ve tried to figure it out for 20-30 minutes before I decided to follow my gut (instead of the instructions) and connect a battery like I always have (on the battery posts themselves). What do you know? Now I have a voltage read (it was at 9.6V) and the jump start mode worked! Lights came on in the car immediately and had to wait a few minutes to crank the engine. Instructions did help with choosing the battery type (choose standard for your car battery). The charge mode brought my standing voltage up to 11V (that’s without the car turned on). Seems like a good buy. We’ll see how long it lasts. Just be normal and connect straight to car battery terminals.

Title: Easy to Use
Review: My dad has one of these and let me borrow it one day. However, he lives about 2 hours from me and I ended up needing one again. I figured it was easier and just as cheap to get it on here. He’s very picky about the quality of the tools he gets, so he expects that if he tells me something is the right one, it is the only option. In this case, I will say it works really well. He did stress not to even plug it in until I connected the cables. I don’t think that is necessary, because you have to push the power button on to use it, but I did that regardless. I was able to use it on my car and a motorcycle the first time. Then my daughter left her car outside and didn’t move it and the battery died. I know that is bad… Anyhow, it did take a long extension cord to run it over there, but I just left it there and it worked well. My ex said you have to be careful when you use them because they don’t give too much power for a motorcycle, but my dad said it actually can tell on this one how much power is needed. I was leery about it, but he was right. So, all-in-all, being so small and easy to move, along with the other things… I guess it is really good.

Review: This little charger is fantastic! It’s a 1.75A charger that out performs my larger old trickle charger. It’s a smart unit with an easy to read display. (One thing to note: it will specifically NOT work for LiFePO4 batteries. This will NOT do the charging profile required for ONLY those batteries, But it works VERY well for AGM and standard batteries.)I bought it to use the de-sulfate feature on some old UPS batteries, but they were too far gone. However, I’ve used it on my Harley battery as a regular charger and it’s been strong and reliable. It starts out as a regular charger, then shuts off when the battery is full, then automatically goes into trickle mode as it needs to.It’s got a great feature in that it displays what it’s doing. The display toggles back and forth showing the exact volts and amps it’s putting out as well as the graphical display of the battery filling up.It’s a “set up and leave it go” thing that will shut down when the battery doesn’t need it or it will turn back on when it’s needed.Recently my truck battery was too low to turn it over so I connected this charger. I like the voltmeter display. It showed 11.2v before I plugged it into the wall. Once plugged in, this unit displayed exactly what it was doing and had me up and fully charged over night.The next day I did notice that when I moved the cord at the connection, the screen went dark. I surmised that there are broken wires in the SAE plug. I contacted the seller asking for a new SAE plug to solder on, and they wrote back overnight that they are sending me an entire new unit! What great customer service!This is a great little charger that does all that I need backed by a company with great customer service!

Title: Good battery charger, tested all functions and they work as expected.
Review: Edited on Sept 2, 2022:Nexpeak contacted me in regards to my battery charger issue that I was having as noted below. They provided a replacement charger to me as they had not received any prior complaints in regards to the trickle charge mode not coming back on once the battery voltage dropped. I tested the replacement battery charger functions and found that the replacement does work correctly, the trickle charge mode turns the charger “off” once the battery is fully charged at approximately 14.8 volts, I loaded the fully charged battery to draw the voltage down and found that the replacement charger turns back on and starts trickle charging again once my voltage dropped to approximately 12.1 volts.I was surprised that Nexpeak contacted me with concern that their charger did not work properly for me, this shows that they do care about their products and their customers.I have raised my rating from one star to four stars, primarily for the customer service received by Nexpeak, I deducted one star for the original faulty charger that I received.My original review on Aug 21, 2022:My charger does not work as advertised, I tested each function over the past week on a known good battery. The charge and the repair function work fine, my issue is with the most critical function of this charger which is the maintain/trickle mode.Once the battery reaches a full state of charge the maintain/trickle function shuts the charger OFF despite what it states in the directions. I suspected that the charger may be monitoring the state of charge on the fully charged battery and would come back on once the battery voltage dropped to a specified voltage range but it does not! I used my load tester to drop the battery voltage (after my charger shut off in maintain/trickle mode) and the charger NEVER came back on to sustain a state of charge in my battery (I load tested my fully charged battery down to 11.5 volts an this charger never came back on!).Not having a slow charge maintain/trickle mode that works correctly is a no go for me as I planned on using this battery charger to maintain the battery on our wave runner during the winter. Using this charger for any length of time in maintain/trickle mode may leave you with a dead battery!!

Title: Keep expectations reasonable, maybe do a little DIY modding, and it’s a great purchase
Review: Update 22 June 2024: five down to three was too harsh. It was extremely inexpensive and served well for four years. After searching (endlessly) for an appropriate replacement, I ended up buying another MotoPower unit – their 1.5a version. I figure a device with a little more heft probably won’t generate as much heat as this one did, so may last even longer; and it was barely more than what I paid for the first one!Update 19 June 2024: After almost exactly four years in service, The charger died. Wife smelled the acrid scent of burnt out electronics and alerted me to it. It was in use daily for all four years. A while after the narrative below, I had set up a Raspberry Pi to monitor the battery voltage and turn this on when it reached a certain threshold – the backend story is the 2018 Honda Accord has a nasty parasitic draw problem, so it was necessary to alway have it monitored and charged cyclicly. So it was powered on and off from a few times to maybe ten times a day. However, a charger like this is _not_ a complex device; exactly four years of service strikes me as ‘planned obsolescence’. So I’m dropping the rating from five stars to three stars. It is not hard to build simple electronics to last decades. There’s just no good excuse for a short life – other than to ‘encourage’ a new purchase.Here’s my tale:After a couple of months of driving my car barely once a week during the COVID-19 isolation orders, my 2018 Honda Accord wouldn’t start. Tried a jump start from wife’s 2002 Honda Civic – still no go. yikes! Got out the decent quality multi-meter I have – less than 8 volts, from a 12V battery. Double yikes! Checked the electrolyte – whoa, one of the six cells had exposed plates. Well, that fairly well explains the very low volts. Topped it up to the line, then tried jump start again…yep, triple yikes.Well, I had plenty of time on my hands being furloughed, so I ordered this little unit. Inexpensive, but it made appropriate promises for what it can do, for what it costs. Ratings good. Some horrible though. Took the chance.At 800mA, this is not going to charge a 500Ah car battery quickly. I hooked it up and monitored the voltage for several days. Weather was rather warm, 80’s to 90’s F, and I noticed this little device getting pretty darned hot – too hot, in fact.Disconnected it and took off the back plate. Board very hot to touch, capacitor and transformer too hot to touch. Bad design! This thing needs to either be potted with a non-conductive heat sink material for full contact with the inside of the case, or the case needs vents. Period. That much heat will toast those components over time. True – I was asking the device for all it had – to charge a pretty deeply discharged 12V high amp capacity battery. Which isn’t _per se_ its intended function. Still though.I decided to DIY. Took a drill and drilled four holes in the back plate, and two holes on each side, see photos. Pretty? Not on your life. Crude but fairly effective? Yes indeed, at least, it allowed _some_ of that heat to dissipate.Eventually there was enough charge to start the car, took it for a long drive, then hooked it up again to see if it would complete the full cycle – which it did after another day. It eventually hit the couple of voltage marks to go into absorption mode, then into float mode. Highly accurate too – 14.19v – still absorption mode. 14.20v – boom, float mode. Repeatable.For twenty bucks, it did what I wanted – and most importantly, what I _expected_ – unlike some of the reviews that complain it took days to charge their battery…well duh! It puts out less than an amp, expecting a fast charge from a slow charge device is just….dumb.That said – please guys – make the ‘slotted’ sides into real slots, to let some air flow through it. I realize it adds a little to the manufacturing costs, but people will get a longer life out of their (admittedly tiny) investment in this – and maybe fewer will die out in the field, eliciting bad reviews.As for me, I’m very happy with it – because it met my expectations.

Review: Keeps my vehicles charged. I’m very happy with them. Its winter time and the shop and garage is cold so the chargers stay cool. I’m thinking that will change this summer as the areas will get hot and the charger has no vent holes to vent off the internal heat. if so, then I plan to cut some vent holes in the case’s.

Review: I am thoroughly impressed with this little powerhouse! I needed something to charge up the battery on my generator and this worked flawlessly.This is a high quality charger with easy mode switching and super simple to use. I was worried that I did not get one with enough amperage, but this charged up my generator battery enough to power it on after about an hour.I have not yet needed to hook it up to a larger battery such as a car, but for a generator battery or something similar, this charger easily handles the task and isn’t overly expensive for what you’re getting.

Just make sure you connect to a 12v socket that is always on. Strangely does not ship with instructions or manual. Had to look it up online. Same day shipping from Amazon- can’t be beat.

Title: Did not work at first, seems to work now?
Review: I have a car I keep garaged and don’t drive very often. The battery is older than the nominal 3 years. However, when I’m driving it around regularly, the battery holds a charge just fine. But when the car sits awhile I have to jump start. I got this product to tend the battery and keep it ready to go.When I first hooked up to the battery and put it into the proper mode, it appeared to be doing the right thing. Note, the battery had significant charge but couldn’t keep cranking the engine long enough to get it started. Despite this, the charger seemed to think the battery was completely discharged. I noticed as hours went by that the charge level indicated by the charger did not change or increase. The next morning it was indicating that the battery was defective. I jumped the car with another device and drove it for a few days, and the battery was fine restarting the car. Definitely not a completely defective battery.I tried this charger again after I was done with the car for awhile. It started out exactly as before, reporting the battery as discharged even though it was starting the engine fine. Oddly enough, this time the charger did what it was supposed to do. The reported charge increased until it was reported fully charged. When I tried starting the car a few days later it started up just fine.Note, I originally tried to get the charger into Force mode, but it would not enter that mode.At this point the charger seems to be working, but I don’t trust it completely. I definitely don’t trust it to be my only alternative to top off a partially discharged battery. Luckily I have two other alternatives.

Title: Does not work as a “maintainer” – UPDATED – figured out how to make it work as maintainer on string
Review: Updated review from 3 stars to 5 stars. I experimented and connected the terminals to the inverter terminals and it now goes into maintenance mode. Something about being connected to a single battery in the strings causes it to give an error code and shut off. It does not do that when it is connected at the furthest terminal from my battery string, which is the inverter terminals. It works great now. I was so happy I bought the 10 amp version and loaded up the inverter with more devices to test it out. It works great. So now, even when my power goes out, I’ll still have my wifi dish, security cams active.I purchased this charger/maintainer to leave connected to (2) 35AH AGM batteries (parallel) and it works great as a charger. I have an inverter connected to these batteries and I wanted to run my security cams and Wi-Fi off batteries while being maintained by this unit in case of power failure. Didn’t work out as planned. It will charge the batteries, but every time they reach the cycle to full charge, the next day I get battery failure and the unit quits charging. Once I unplug the charger from AC and plug it back in, the unit again charges the batteries to full charge, next day battery failure light. The batteries are only a year old and have little use on them. They hold a charge well. So now I have another battery charger. It’s a nice little trickle charger, but not a maintainer on my batteries.

Review: Hay mucho que considerar al cargar una batería de auto, éste cargador es ideal para varios escenarios. Lo compré pues muchos autos nuevos con baterías AGM no deben ser cargados con un cargador que no diga expresamente ser para AGM, de otra forma puede acortar su vida.Este cargador puede usarse con baterías regulares de plomo-acido, AGM, litio y hasta de 6V. Tiene indicadores para polaridad invertida, batería dañada, además de nivel de carga en 4 niveles. En ésta versión de 2 amperes (Noco Genius 2) una batería que marque el primer nivel puede tomar mas de un día en cargar, pero lo hará extendiendo lo mas posible la vida de la misma.Para autos que no se utilizan mucho, es indispensable un cargador como éste, de lo contrario la batería se puede dañar por la falta de carga, así se arranque el motor cada mes, pues no es suficiente, particularmente para las de plomo-acido. Incluso autos que solo se usan para trayectos cortos dos o tres veces por semana, la carga que obtienen no es suficiente y terminan descargandose y dañandose si no se hace algo al respecto.Por el tipo de carga que generan éstos cargadores, se pueden recuperar hasta cierto punto baterías que ya fueron indebidamente descargadas mas allá de lo recomendado. Las AGM son las que pueden resistir mas, una de plomo tal vez no se recupere al 100% pero se puede extender un poco su vida. El hecho de que cargue lentamente es precisamente para extender la vida de las baterías y mantener cargadas las que no se usan. Si requieres un arrancador o una carga rápida, ésto no es el producto que necesitas. Las cargas rápidas terminan disminuyendo la vida útil de cualquier batería.Es un producto excelente para museos y colecciones de autos, garantizando que autos sin mucho uso estén siempre listos y que las baterías no pierdan su vida útil. Se puede comprar el accesorio para conectar permanentemente a la batería y dejar el conector tapado pero accesible para rotar el mismo cargador entre varios autos, dejandolo un par de días en cada auto.Yo lo compré para un auto que casi no uso y como tiene batería AGM, no podía usar mi cargador/mantenedor viejo. Lo recomiendo bastante, luego de una carga se puede desconectar y permanecer meses sin usar y arranca a la primera, aunque lo ideal es dejarlo siempre conectado si es posible. Cuando ya está cargada, se mantiene en modo de espera.

Review: I purchased the NOCO Genius2D, and it has exceeded my expectations! i have a Jeep that sits a significant amount of time. it hadn’t been driven in nearly 7 months and the battery was stone dead!The installation process was straightforward. The included mounting bracket and eyelet cables made it easy to secure the charger near the battery. The 24-inch A/C and D/C cables provided ample length for a neat setup.This charger works flawlessly! After installing it, I left it plugged in overnight and by the next morning, the jeep started easily! It efficiently maintains the battery charge, ensuring my Jeep will always be ready to go! The charger also features short-circuit, over-voltage, and reverse polarity protection, which gives me peace of mind. Even if I mess up, I’m protected!The charger is very compact, which is a big plus. It fits easily under the hood without taking up much space. Title: Works great – hard mounted on my 17′ Polaris Outlaw 110!
Review: I was in the market for a trickle charger that was small enough to hard mount onto my recently acquired Outlaw 110 – saw this, took a few measurements and hit our all time favorite button…. “Buy Now”.A few days later and it shows up – packaging is great, has instructions for those who need them, and the physical base unit itself was small enough to neatly tuck next to the Air box (L-side) and secured to the frame. Just enough length on the outlet cord to run along the frame and have it restored just behind the LF headlight for ease of access…. Couldn’t have asked for a better product.It charges the YTZ7S battery fantastically! Came up to it this morning after two days of rest and it’s keeping the battery happy and healthy. Will be purchasing again!

Review: I got this partially because I need a SLA charger and maintainer but a little bit also because of it restoration function. Some newer charger/maintainers like this also have the ability to apply a pulse that can help break up crystalization inside the battery. While this will not bring an old or damaged battery back to a new state, it does help with things like when a battery is allowed to discharge too far at least once but not significantly damaged otherwise.I didn’t know for sure if it would help with my own car’s battery, but decided to try it anyway. It actually did indeed seem to help. Before using this it would only last a few minutes with the radio powered on after the car was shut off before it would shut it down due to low voltage. Now it lasts about 30 minutes. This also translates to holding up much better when sitting over time. This is not magic, so it is very limited in what it is able to do (more serious damage may not even be repairable short of basically rebuilding the battery,) but in cases of one of the more common minor causes of SLA battery capacity loss it does indeed help.As for the actual charging and maintenance functions, these seem to work quite well. It’s only a 2A maximum charge rate (it lowers twice in later stages of the charge process) so not well suited to large batteries such as those of a car except as a maintainer (which needs very little actual current,) but will do in a pinch if you have the time (I believe it listed 60 hours as the time required to 100% fully charge a car battery — although it will likely crank in much less time than that.) You will probably want one of the larger ones for those. However, it does have the advantage of being able to safely work on practically any SLA battery you can reasonably throw at it — provided you can spare the time for a larger battery. I am also using this to maintain (and hopefully restore) a much smaller battery and so far it seems to be working just fine.I’m not clear on the difference between this one and the 2D model. This one also comes with a mount if you would like to more permanently mount it (such as inside your car.) Interestingly they seem to have made the alligator clips that come with it have screw-mounted rings that can be removed for permanent installation at the terminal screws. This way you don’t need a separate set of connectors for each as the 2D model did. So this is an option for those who need to do this.
