Review: Part #19-1005 works on a 2000 polaris xpedition 425 rear drive shaft even though Amazon says it doesn’t. That being said this part number most likely is good for the front drive shaft as well. Title: IT IS NOT SNAKE OIL It worked for me w/significant rear main seal leak
Review: I developed a significant rear main seal leak on a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban. This is after I used synthetic oil. (I thought this was no longer an issue with synthetic , but there is no other explaination for the leak). I really did not have any confidence that this product would work. It did have great reviews and I figured it was worth a try but as much oil that was literally dripping as I entered my driveway in the puddles underneath SUV after parking it I had my doubts. As the instructions indicate you need to drive it about 500 miles. After 500 miles I still had a bit of a leak but it was much improved. I did not change out my oil at this time I left the additive in and then after approximately 2,000 miles, there is no trace of any oil leak! This stuff worked wonders for me. Review: I bought a used Tundra with 140K miles on it that I knew had a leaking rear main seal. It was a $1000 repair if you get a really great deal. I ended up getting the truck for a really good price and was prepared to get the rear main seal fixed. I ended up putting it off and it was going through a bout a quart of oil in 5000 miles. I wasn’t worried. Some German cars tell you going through a quart every 800 miles is normal. WTF?My old truck had the transmission go out on the road and I had to get it rebuilt by AAmco. They convinced me to replace the rear main seal while the transmission was out even though it wasn’t leaking. I continued my trip, had the transmission checked out as required. I was informed then that the new rear main seal was leaking. On my way home I stopped at the Aamco transmission shop to get it fixed under warranty. Unfortunately it was Saturday. They told me I would have to stick around for 2-3 days but they would fix it for free. They also told me that I could just get it fixed at an AAmco near home. This turned out to not be true. The Aamco near home wanted another $1200 to replace it. I wasn’t going to pay another $1200 after just paying $3500 to for the trans rebuild. I ended up putting some stop leak product in the Transmission. It slowed it down but never completely stopped it.After getting a few estimates to get the rear Main seal replaced I decided to look into Transmission Stop Leak again. I found this product and it seemed better than what I had used previously and that worked OK. I put it in according to instructions and drove around with it until my next oil change was due. I took it to a local Toyota dealership which had very reasonable oil change prices, only about 5 dollars more than it would cost me to buy the oil and filter. Tundras take 8 qts of Full synthetic. They confirmed that I needed a rear main seal. I asked them what about putting Stop Leak in the Transmission. They told not to do that because there was a good chance it would ruin the transmission. Well too late I had already used it. I decided to wait and see what would happen because it had only used 1 quart between oil changes. Oil is a lot cheaper than replacing the rear main seal. I am so glad I did because as per their instructions before I went back for the next oil change I cleaned the motor off really well with degreaser and a pressure washer. This time they told me that it wasn’t the rear main seal that was leaking but the Cam Towers. This was goin go be $4200 to fix. Since it was using less oil I decided to wait a little longer to see what happened. The bottom line is AT-205 RE-Seal didn’t ruin my motor. It did stop the oil leaks though. Toyota told me I had very slight weepage around my valve cover gaskets but never either of the other 2 oil leaks again. I can only assume they thought I got them fixed. I cleaned up the under carriage a few more times to check on things and was amazed at how well this product worked to soften up those seals to stop the oil leaks. I now have more than 180k miles on the Tundra and the only time it uses oil is towing a trailer at 70-80 mph for long trips. This product is a bit more expensive than some of the brands but in my opinion well worth it.Reviewer: Standng

Title: Worked for me using a huge dose, review of other snake oils
Review: I have a jeep that I bought for a future project. It runs and drives and I have to move it around sometimes. The power steering pours out fluid, I fill it, and before I can drive it around the yard its screaming and empty. Initially I would put ps fluid in there, but it drained out so quickly I just put whatever was around, type F, straight 30 weight, dex merc. So this system was absolutely clean, had gallons of fluid run through it. I don’t want to trash the pump, but I don’t know where its leaking from, the thing leaks every fluid. Plus, it has rubber ps and trans lines running all over to a cooler and random routing typical of Chrysler. The whole mess is covered in years of crud. Jeeps have crappy power steering pumps compared to gm. I bought this and poured the whole bottle in, the system was dry. I topped it off with ps fluid. It would barely steer, shudder and was very hard to steer but was not leaking. I needed to drive straight then make 2 u turns. I couldn’t drive the damn thing, it would not steer but no leaking. I let it run and wandered off cursing. So I siphoned all I could out of the pump, and topped off with ps fluid. Hey, it would steer again, good enough to move around. Ths was 8 months ago, no leaks, steering is tough but better than no fluid at all. This is a recirculating ball system.GM saginaw boxes are the absolute best, fill with trans fluid and they are good for life. I have fixed rust holes on them with aluminum duct tape.Rack and pinion systems are different, and much less durable. Once a wheel takes a curb hit, it scars the pinion and just keeps throwing metal into the fluid which eventually gets to a seal and cuts it. Stop leak won’t fix this. You can disassemble them, and dremel blend the chipped scarred areas to blend the chipped area and be back on the road for a while, till you hit a curb again.Lukas products are just thick dyed fluid which may top leaks due to increased viscosity, however they can blow lines from increased pressure. Blue devil can work but will make the seals mushy, gotta add just enough to get the leak to stop, no more. A little added every few days till the leak almost stops then call it quits.On to another vehicle. chevy truck, took it from hot florida to up north in snow. I had just flushed and filled it with valvoline ps fluid. Hydroboost system, so its running the power steering and power brakes. It started leaking. Pulled into a dollar general and bought their cheap ps fluid. leak stopped and no issues for 3 months now.Reviewer: JM
