    Review: Bought this to replace my AC knob for the temperature that kept falling out for my 2002 tundra. I put the new dial knob on it fit perfectly. It does match the other two knobs but I would say it’s not as shiny as a finish as the OEM knobs that I have it serves its job. It’s definitely gonna work just fine and I have two more knobs to spare or I can swap those out to make them all match would definitely do it if you’re having problems with your knob, I need a cheap fix.

    Review: I got a Bobcat S150 skid steer from the US Army and it had a push button start, which was had a short in the rocker switch and the push button. I went with this set-up (cheaper fix) instead of putting a key switch back into it., I like having the lights to help identify there is power to the switch and aloowing you to know it was left on. If you have a basic knoweledge of reading schematics and electricity is easy to install. I modified the skid steer switch panel a little for installation and end up using rivets instead of the cheap little break screws that came with it.

    Review: The switches are of decent quality. The carbon fiber weave isn’t really gonna fool anyone but looks good regardless! I did solder on replacement wires however, and I also added loctite to the nuts so as to make them more secure.

    Title: Start button sticks and destroyed my starter
    Review: Put this in my project foxbody due to solenoid failure and the start button sticks sometimes. That’s bad enough, but yesterday it must’ve been halfway pushed because when I came back to my car the started was fried to a crisp, the start button was lighting up like it was trying to start, and I had to change a starter in my work parking lot. I should’ve taken a picture of the crispy starter but will include a video of it sticking when I get around to it. Unless its just mine that is defective, DO NOT BUY THIS SWITCH PANEL

    Title: How these reset and work
    Review: I love these things. They worked a s expected in my situation. I normally oversize them a bit along with the wire. This self-resetting fuse is a type of fuse that can automatically reset itself after an overload or short circuit condition has been cleared. Here’s a basic overview of how it works so you will know when it applies to your specific needs:1. Normal Operation: Under normal operating conditions, the self-resetting fuse behaves like a regular fuse, allowing current to flow through it without resistance. These are usually made from a special conductive polymer material or a metal alloy that has a low to no resistance when not under a stress condition. This allows current to flow as you would expect.2. Overload Condition: When there is an overcurrent or short circuit, the fuse experiences a significant increase in current flow. The heat generated by the excess current causes the polymer or metal alloy inside the fuse to heat up. This acts ALMOST like a slo-blow when the current is over rating just by a bit. It may take a few minutes to heat up before it “blows”. This will protect the wire for the most part. This “slightly” over condition can cause strange behavior because you can blow the fuse, a few minutes later it cools down, starts to work again, and then blows again. Those are marginal cases however. When sized right they are reliable.3. Current Limiting: As the material heats up, it changes its resistance. In a polymer-based or metal alloy self-resetting fuse, the material’s resistance increases sharply when it reaches a certain temperature. This is known as “The Curve” in these fuses. This high resistance effectively reduces the current flowing through the fuse to a very low level, thereby protecting the circuit.4. Cooling and Resetting: After the overload condition is removed (and your wires aren’t burned up!) and the current returns to normal levels, the fuse cools down. As it cools, the resistance of the material decreases, allowing current to flow through the fuse again. This process resets the fuse to its normal operating state.5. Reusability: Unlike run of the mill traditional fuses, which need to be replaced once they blow, self-resetting fuses can be used repeatedly. They automatically reset themselves after the overload condition is resolved.I use these fuses for things that are super critical to me like the electric brakes on my trailer. If there is a one time overload for some reason or a short that is on again and off again as the trailer moves, what I can hope is that the fuse resets and the brakes are there when I need them. A normal fuse would blow and never automatically reset leaving me in a situation where I might be without brakes. This isn’t foolproof of course, as a bad enough issue and the fuse will just stay “blown” but it is a margin safer than a standard fuse or a breaker.I hope you found this useful!

    Title: Bargain bulk price for 4 count – but plastic case is trickery to securely mount
    Review: These are very good automatic reset 12 volt circuit breakers. I use them for the Power supply wire for Trailer Brake Controllers. If something shorts, and the breaker trips, you may just get the power back on for an emergency stop. The only problem with these plastic case automatic reset 12 volt circuit breakers is that the case is made of delicate plastic. The plastic is good for insulation, but not so good for getting a secure mount. With the metal case type, with metal mounting tabs, you can bend the metal tab to orient the case in a different position. With the plastic case you are limited to flat mounting with the whole automatic reset 12 volt circuit breaker sticking out of the mounting plate.

    Title: Better then expected and you can rearrange them
    Review: You get a flexible yet sturdy plastic rail with a on off toggle for the ac power plug,duel USB plug and the voltage meter. These items can be reconfigured and/or removed and remounted else where. They are all pre-wired with spade connections and only need a power and ground run to it. I’m very pleased and it worked great for my needs (1990 subaru justy) I removed my ashtray and it’s frame to accommodate this and with swapping out accommodate connection (if I remember right) with the voltage gauge it fit perfectly. (Switch and voltage gage don’t extend as far into dash as the other 2) I did however place a peice of black tape on the switch in fear the the led on the switch would be to bright at night as most leds on a switch like that are. I can’t tell you one way or the other if it is because I just covered it out of previous experience. This is a flexible mount as mentioned before but yet it’s sturdy enough that I have it barely touching my dash on both sides and the top.(3/8″ and less) really just enough to not see the hole on top and barely enough to screw it in on the sides. Yet I have had it installed a month now and use it daily but forgot that it was flexible until I wrote this. I would think that this should fit most cars where you have a odd narrow slot under the radio or replace that slot all together on a double din to single din radio kit. With a little imagination and know how at least but fairly easily.

    Title: Such a life saver
    Review: I bought a work van that had no way to charge my phones and or devices so I got on Amazon to search for a solution. This thing is what I landed on and once it came I was excited to hook it up. Install was super easy using a 5 dollar fuse tap I just tapped into my interior fuse box and used the cigarette lighter fuse to tap into. Once I installed the fuse tap it was as easy as running a wire to the mounting location and to hook up the red and black wire. That was it!! I can now charge my devices in my work van and the little volt meter was a plus as it let’s you know how many volts your vehicles electrical system has available. I like the look of it, the quality is decent size is nice not too bulky and ugly looking. Again very easy to connect to you electrical system. using the red and black wires on the device you can hook it up using the 5 dollar fuse tap.

    Title: These work perfect in my old travel trailer!
    Review: Installed 2 of these in my old travel trailer. I can now monitor battery voltage, charge 4 USB devices, and have access to 2 lighter plugs for a portable tv, small air compressor and etc….plus power down the ports, all from the convenience of the installed power switch. The people in the reviews putting these on blast, must be overly rough with these! They are plastic and not steel. There are included directions on how to properly disconnect the preinstalled spade connectors that are prewired on this if you choose to do so. I’ve included a picture of the directions. Don’t try to rip the connectors off. They have a little tab that needs to be released. This is a feature to keep them from vibrating and eventually falling off. These are awesome, as are all NiLight purchases I’ve made.
