Title: Great product down to the great packaging
Review: High quality product from Dorman. Much better than the crappy plastic one from Chrysler. Heck, even the packaging it came in was so nicely done compared to most car parts you buy. Came with all the bolts and seals needed to install. The instructions are good for the removal and install of the item itself. I do want to note a few things though:1) You need thread sealer if you are reusing the old oil pressure (Dorman 926188) and temperature sensors (Dorman 926427. I bought new Dorman ones shown here, which come with sealant already applied to the threads. The old ones aren’t easy to get out. If you want to torque the sensors (15ft-lbs), you will need a 27mm deep socket for one of them which is pretty big. The other is smaller.2) Make sure to remove the cap and filter from the old unit before removing or lots of oil will drop out the bottom.3) Have a cheap hand pump from harbor freight ready to suck out all the fluids that drain out the bottom, namely oil. Make recommendation 2 above will help, but I feel there will still be a lot of fluids as it was the Exxon Valdez spill under there.4) Doing an oil change following the install would be a good idea as coolant, oil, and dirt mix together in the engine trough.5) You will drain coolant from the radiator but only about 2/3 of a gallon I bought way more than I needed.6) My van had lots of oil in the upper and lower intakes so I replaced the PCV valve and cleaned all the oil out with engine cleaner (for plastic intakes) and throttle body cleaner (for the throttle body). I also bought an oil seperator to install later when it comes in.7) This is a good time to replace the spark plugs also (NGK 93175, .044 gap, 13 ft-lbs) if over 100k miles.8) It is helpful to have instructions such as Alldata or Chiltons to remove the parts. Some things like disconnecting the fuel pump harness and starting the car to remove fuel pressure before disconnecting the fuel rail is a good idea. You also do not need to remove the electric fan if you just bend back the two front upper intake metal supports with a crow bar. Watch a You tube video.Good luck and thanks Dorman!

Title: Best fix for leaking factory Jeep oil filter housing! Read my review!
Review: I have a 2021 Jeep Gladiator with just over 104,000 miles and the Factory Oil Filter housing / cooler was leaking as most all will. This NEW Dorman 926-959 aluminum Oil Filter housing / cooler worked flawlessly! If youâre not mechanically inclined, do not perform the work yourself! It was a time consuming process but best value for the money! It cost more than others but the quality from Dorman is better than the OEM. Come with all needed gaskets. You will need to reuse or install new sensor as well as youâll need to drain and refill your cooling system. Make sure to torque all bolts per Dorman and your ride will be leak free just like mine! (Note) Cheap no name oil filter cone with kit, so I installed a NEW Mobile 1 oil filter. Best to change oil at this time as well! Due to mileage I also replaced ALL spark plugs and Ignition Coils as well. Trust me, you might as well as youâll see why when you have to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds anyway.

Title: Solid replacement part
Review: I replaced this in my daughterâs Jeep Wrangler that she uses for rural mail routes. I watched a few different YouTube videos and felt comfortable enough to do this. While in the middle of the project I thought I bit off more than I wanted with the number of electrical connections that needed disconnected. The fuel injector connectors were the worst. Bought a tool for those after struggling for an hour. Once the old leaking part was out and getting all the oil and coolant cleaned up, the Doorman part fit perfectly and best yet, no more leaking oil like the Exxon Valdez!

Title: Legendary fix to a all too common problem!
Review: Dorman had bad reputation, but they have stepped it up lately. This is a common problem with Pentastar 3.6 V-6 engines. The original oil filter housing is plastic. It tends to break or warp and leak oil and coolant. This kit is aluminum, and fixes this problem. It is kind of pricey, but compared to a replacement engine, well that goes without saying. It’s about a 5 hour operation, done right. This is a permanent fix to this leaking problem. For this reason, I am pre-emptively replacing this piece on my wife’s Jeep. It comes with an orange filter housing cap, signifying this job has been done. Although it is easy to see the aluminum housing. You’ll also have to use a different oil filter than the OE one. But there is a list of filter numbers on the side of the cap. It comes with all the gaskets that are needed to do the job. Some engines use two sensors on the back of the housing, some use one. For this reason a plug comes with the housing. All new bolts too.

Review: Nice option slightly overpriced, you have to use their gaskets at install as the aftermarket mahle and felpro do not fit correctly and will leak. Time wil tell how this holds up its a straightforward install just have correct tools at hand

Review: This replaced the original oil filter housing on a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee (3.6L) after about 240,000 miles on the engine. This aluminum engine oil filter housing has 6,000 miles on it so far and is working great. The fit and finish is great, and it was an easy swap from the original housing.

Review: Nice quality product, comes with all the seals and bolts you need for installation, be sure to remember it takes a 2014 oil filter for a 3.6L Pentastar engine. Perhaps an installation tip if you’re weary about this leaking ever again, apply some high heat engine silicone to the seals as well, the o ring up front is known to be the leaky culprit.
