Title: Very robust feeling, great for fixing some car accessories!
Review: I had a car-powered tire inflator that I really loved, but it had one Achilles’ heel: the lighter plug was absolute garbage. I have no idea to this day why they decided to chintz on that one detail, when the rest of it seemed likely to survive a nuclear blast, but one day it came apart in my lighter socket, blew out the fuse in my car, and started a small fire. Awesome…So, that inflator sat unused for a year or two after that. I replaced the fuse in my car, and I kept looking at that inflator, trying to decide how to move on. It was sad for me to see it sitting lonely and unused in a corner of my garage. One day, I decided to investigate what it would take to fix it. I came across these, and placed my order. When I received them, I immediately noticed something simple this had that the original didn’t: a screw holding the plastic shell together. AMAZING! Also, it has a light that tells you when the +12V is flowing. Bonus!I cut the wires, crimped the wires together, and applied copious heatshrink and covered the joint with the plastic sheath these came with, and yet more heatshrink, because I just don’t want another fire. So far, so good! Works great, and I have absolutely no clue what to do with the second one. Now it sits in the corner of my garage, lonely and waiting for its turn to shine, when another accessory inevitably comes with a crummy lighter plug that needs replacement. Good deal for an heir and a spare to the throne of the King of the Lighter Plugs.

Title: Good quality, fair price, 2 small complaints.
Review: I wouldn’t call this “heavy duty” but it’s medium duty and a generally good deal for the price.Two small complaints; first the clear tubing the wire connections looks like heat shrink but it is not. I stock heat shrink tubing so not a big deal for me, just something to be aware of. Second, the crimp connections on the wire ends are huge, no where near as small as 16AWG. You could probably get 6AWG to fit in them (I didn’t try so don’t quote me). I probably should have just cut them off and used 16AWG butt connectors but instead I decided to use what it came with. I stripped my 16AWG wires that I would attach, doubled them over just to make them fatter and crimped with my professional crimpers. No way those crimps were tight. Fortunately, the barrels came with nice plating and I was able to solder them with ease, but again if you’re not able to do this you might not get a good connection.

Review: The center contact (Positive) has a very strong spring. Side contacts (Negative) have weak spring tension. Doesn’t take much vibration for the center contact to over power the side springs and back the plug out disconnecting the power.Pick another company’s plug.

Review: Bought this to power my dashcam off of a 10000 mah USB battery when the car is parked. Set it up. Walk away. Within 5 minutes it will power off. Useless. Too late to return. Avoid it.Update: the problem with the dashcam powering off was not the converter it was the Anker battery pack, when set in trickle charge mode, cutting off the power. Discovered through quite a bit of testing. Apologies to the seller.

Title: Disappointed with Functionality – Returning It
Review: I bought the USB A Male to 12V Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Female Converter Cable to power a small dashcam, thinking it would be a simple solution for converting USB power to 12V. Unfortunately, my experience with this adapter has been nothing but disappointing.The biggest issue is that it simply doesn’t provide enough power to properly run any of the devices I intended to use. Despite the product’s claim of handling 12V at 8W max, it consistently failed to power even basic devices like my dashcam and portable fan. The devices would either not start at all or would stop working after a few minutes. This suggests the converter doesn’t deliver the required voltage and wattage reliably, making it completely unreliable for most applications.On top of that, the build quality feels cheap. The connectors feel loose, and I’m concerned they could easily break or wear out quickly. I’ve also had issues with the USB connection; it doesn’t stay securely in the socket, which led to several disconnections during use.I understand this is a budget item, but it still needs to meet basic functionality, and this product just doesn’t. I will be returning it because it didn’t perform as advertised and doesn’t meet the minimum power requirements for any of my devices. Save yourself the hassle and look for a better-quality converter.

Review: My car (13 Ford Edge Limited) power plugs run 24/7 whether the car is running or not. This is a great less expensive option to be able to control that. Whether it’s the “cig lighters” or usb ports it drained energy constantly. Now I can turn off power to multiple sources all with one switch or can turn off power individually. It’s great really. The cable quality is good enough to withstand the console pressing down on it. While lightweight it is pretty sturdy. Good buy.

Review: This unit took it out of the box. It worked perfect as described. It comes with a large piece of Velcro that fits on the bottom side of the unit, and it is super sticky be prepared to tug really hard if you decide to remove it from the dash. I really liked that I can turn off each individual plug so I can charge a battery overnight without having my radar detector turned on. And I can also turn my dash camera on and off with this unit. If I decide to leave, it turned on at night and record or if I put it in the garage, I can shut the power off to the camera. Really nice piece for the money.

Review: Functionality is perfection! I use it for both Front and Rear dashcams and my Radar Detector, with the pushbutton to turn off power to either side, I can easily turn off anything I need or don’t need at any point in time. It’s semi-bulky, I have it in my center console of my Ford Focus but it’s out of sight and out of mind! I also have spare USB ports to charge extra phones for passengers, or even my camera equipment on long trips! I’ve owned this for almost a year and spme change and have had zero complaints, or issues so far. The voltage display is also a very nice touch!

Title: Works
Review: I use it to power a Uniden radar detector, dash camera, and to charge a smart phone. Works well and its flexibility is very useful. Also like the battery charging readout; it agrees with the same readout I get from the radar detector, which gives me confidence in that info.

Review: My old SUV had three 12-Volt connections, all reachable by the front seats, and two connections were always used.My new SUV has only two 12-volt connections, but while one is in the front, the other one is all the way in the rear near the liftgate/door.Bought this splitter to use in the front for the two devices I need plugged in all the time (dash cam and cell phone power booster).It works perfectly for both and in addition, has two USB ports as well as the USB-C port to charge my iPhone.

Title: Very nice unit
Review: This 12v unit works great, it seems to handle Garmin GPS, cell phone, and my trailer tires pressure monitor.The voltage led seems to be accurate, as seen in photo the tire pressure Monitor voltage reading is off by .3 to .5 volts.I confirmed it with a electrical meter.The unit fits very secure in my 2003 GMC truck cigarette lighter, thanks to the rubber bushing provided.The 45 swivel holds what I plugged in just fine it did Not fall down.I did not encounter any of the problems that other people’s negative feed back.

Title: Good quality I guess.
Review: Did not fit snug into my 1997 Ford ranger. Now I’m going to have to wrap in tape or something and glue it in. It’s to small to fit snug on my truck.

Review: It took a little elbow edge to push the prongs in all the way but was an overall simple and easy install. Working great, reasonably priced. Im a happy camper no longer having to pull cord from “trunk”.
