Review: This cap was ordered for a 02 Bravada. I still have the original fuel filler neck on it and it was the original cap. This cap fit perfectly and seals well, the only issue was the plastic pin was too large for the new hole and broke off trying to just put it in which is a little frustrating. The last cap I ordered for a 07 Trailblazer had no issues at all so I took off one star just for that because the point was to also replace that piece so my wife does not forget the cap at the gas station. But otherwise it’s a perfect replacement at a fraction of the cost of the dealer.

Review: This Fuel Tank cap worked perfect for my 2003 Toyota 4Runner but not without a hiccup. I too had the engine light and VSS warning lights come on the dash. The first thing I tried was to tighten the existing gas cap and reset the dash lights. This did not work. Next, I decided to purchase a new gas cap. I used the Part Fit checker found at the top of this page to determine the gas cap to purchase. The Part Fit checker gave me a wrong part number which I ordered and sent back.Here is what I discovered about Toyota gas caps. Essentially there are two types. 1) the one shown here which has tabs on the side of the cap and 2) A cap that is threaded (Genuine Toyota (77300-06040) Fuel Tank Cap Assembly) . There may be more types than this but I have two different Toyota cars and each have a different cap.BEFORE YOU ORDER, CHECK YOUR GAS CAP TO SEE WHAT YOUR CAR ACTUALLY HAS AND ORDER BASED ON THAT AND NOT THE PART FINDER.The second cap I received (77300-47010) was good quality and fit perfect. I installed the cap and drove about 20 miles but the dash warning lights did not go out. I then removed the positive terminal from the battery for about 1 minute, reconnected and then started the car. The lights were out and problem solved.I have a second Toyota vehicle and it has the screwed thread cap.

Review: This gas cap worked great. I had a P0456 Code on my 2004 Toyota Camry. I used a piece of sandpaper on the actual tank lip where the gas cap seats. Then I installed this new cap. The code went away after one tank fill up. I read several reviews from cheaper caps where the tether was too short. The tether on this part matched my original gas cap and was perfect. I definitely would recommend this gas cap to anyone trying to fix this code.

Review: Car is throwing p0441 & p0455I did not know Toyota had problems on the old style gas caps(77300-33070) & made a new style one(77300-47010). I’ve gone through 2 old style gas caps within 3 or 4 years of owning the vehicle. This time I have bought the new style cap and it actually feels like it locks in place unlike the old style gas cap that when you twist it to close and clicks, it just seems like its real loose,not grabbing and seems like it just untwists on it’s own. I’ve installed the cap today & will wait to see if the cel goes off on it’s own instead of clearing it. Will update if that was the issue on my case.Update: it was the purge valve in the engine next to the intake.

Review: I just got this and I’m a little confused. Why does this seem so loose? Is this normal can someone tell me? I have a 2007 Prius and I do one and multiple click turns and then it still feels loose and comes off so easily. It’s really annoying because I paid so much for this genuine tap and it’s worse than the third party. I haven’t driven the car yet and I plan to return it if they let me but the package doesn’t show as delivered yet on Amazon so I’m just waiting. So something is very off to me. If the code has anything to do with the fuel system, replace the gas cap with a new one and reset the check engine light. Do this first before spending money on parts and labor.

Title: Did Not Fit as Described
Review: I was excited to try this gas cap for my vehicle, but unfortunately, it did not fit as described. Despite being advertised for several Jeep and Chrysler models, it didnât align properly with my carâs fuel system. The quality of the material seemed good, but the fitment issue made it unusable for my specific model. I had to return it and look for an alternative. It might work for other vehicles, but itâs important to double-check compatibility before purchasing. Disappointed with this product not meeting expectations.

Review: so I work at [redacted] which is really just a [redacted] built into the [redacted] mountain in [redacted] but don’t tell anyone, especially [redacted] because it’s super classified and if they found out about our [redacted] they’d really freak out.Anyway, I’m in charge of assembling the [redacted] and this is annoying but the [redacted] is being built precariously hanging above an actual lava pit. I was fill the [redacted]’s propellant tank with [redacted] and just as I had gotten to the [redacted] gallon mark, I fumbled the gas cap right into the lava pit. Boy was my face red. After [redacted] had chewed me out for a solid hour, I told him “look, I’m sorry [redacted] but it’s really hard to build your top secret [redacted] over a lava pit, especially when my ice cream sandwich had melted all over my hands on account of the heat from the lava pit”So after [redacted] had chewed me out for another hour, he told me I had to replace it within 2 days or else he would use his power as [redacted] of the United States to have me thrown into the lava pit.Thankfully Amazon had a perfect replacement available and it was forthwith ordered and arrived two days later right at the front door of the [redacted]. I made sure this time to forego the ice cream sandwich and the gas cap was installed on the [redacted] without issue. It was a perfect fit.An hour later, ice cream sandwich securely in hand, the [redacted] ordered the [redacted] to be launched at [redacted] and boom, perfect launch, thanks to the replacement gas cap.I don’t know How well it works on a car, but if you need a replacement cap for your top secret [redacted] of mass destruction, this is a perfect replacement.[APPROVED FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE]

Title: Quality Better than Factory Original
Review: My factory original gas cap for my 2009 Nissan Frontier had given out after only two years. After the service engine soon light came on, the dealer did a smoke test and found the problem was a leaky gas cap. I was told I could order the factory original for $60, I declined and checked both with Stant’s website and with Amazon Automotive to see what gas cap was appropriate for my truck. The dealer had offered me an alternative $15 gas cap, with unknown quality and ship time. I opted to go with the Stant cap instead.The only downside of this was that I had to wait and drive around for three weeks before the engine light cleared itself. If I had purchased though the dealership, I could have had the trouble light cleared right away, and been sure that the gas cap would work. However, I was patient and thankfully the engine light cleared itself on the third week after I replaced the cap.The most important part of the fuel cap is the rubber seal. The stant cap appeared to have a better quality seal than the factory cap. As for durability, I havn’t had it long enough to find out when it will fail.

Title: Perfect fit for my 2006 ML350
Review: The check engine light came on in my 2006 ML350 recently. I pretty much freaked out! After I calmed down I headed down to the local Auto Zone to have them pull the code. They laughed at me, said I didn’t put the gas cap on tight enough when I got gas last time, cleared the code and sent me on my way. A day later the light was back on. After some Google searches I decided that perhaps my 6 year old, subjected-to-the-Arizona-sun gas cap might have been faulty so I ordered this one on Amazon. After all, a new gas cap is the cheapest fix around. And I’d rather try that before heading to the dealership where the bill will certainly be in the high 3 figures. My Prime membership got the new gas cap to me in 2 days flat – I love you Prime, I really, really do. I swapped the old gas cap for my shiny new one, screwed it on tight and headed back to Auto Zone one more time to have that pesky Check Engine light cleared. And I haven’t been back since. This gas cap is a perfect replacement at a phenomenal price – other online sellers were at least $10 higher.
