Title: Another Good Plug, That’s Some Plug!
Review: The threads on this 1/2″x20 plug were a little rough. The outer edge of the thread was a little scratched, but that doesn’t take the load, the flanks of the thread were good. The metric 12M I bought for the other vehicles seemed to be a little better quality craftsmanship. But nevertheless, it’s still a good quality plug. Magnet is super strong. I didn’t use the supplied crush washer, after reading the reviews. I used the UTSAUTO 12mm fiber sandwich crush washer sold here, but I had to ream it out with a 15/32″ drill. You can read my review for them in their listing. So far no leaks.

Title: Oil Temp Affects Drain Time – 2000 XJ
Review: First and foremost, this is an awesome product if you have a trail rig or off-roading vehicle that has a skid plate that covers the oil pan.The skid plate on my XJ does have a cut out to reach the drain plug to drain the oil, but when I do an oil change the oil stream overshoots the cutout and goes all over the plate, making a gorgeous and messy oil waterfall.This drain plug does what it advertises, although I will mention that you should get the oil hot before draining. It does take more time to drain, but you can drain directly into a jug and that alone justifies the price (no waterfall = mess = no unhappy wife!). Review: When I purchased this oil drain plug I saw the aluminum part but didn’t expect the entire hex head to be aluminum. It is not anodized. I chose not to use this plug and ordered a stainless steel plug. My concerns of having a drain plug rounding off or even shearing off due to an aluminum hex to apply torque to remove it stoped me. You mileage may vary. It is a nicely machined magnetic plug.

Review: The plug fit my 2014 charger, but the plug was a good 1/4″ shorter than the original, had a much smaller diameter flange, and was made of aluminum. So, I ended up getting a $4 plug from my local auto parts store that more matched my original steel plug.

Title: Exactly what I wanted
Review: Love magnetic oil plugs. It’s what we use in jet engines for oil plugs. Love that it’s made in the USA and has a super strong magnet. My biggest fear putting something like this in my oil pan is that it might fall apart and become a bigger problem than it is meant to solve. The other brands look questionable. No worries about that for this part. Very well made. Sane socket size as OEM.My only issue was that the magnet was so strong that it stuck to the steel pan when I tried to install it. Took 10 extra seconds to install. 😁 just bought my 3rd one. I will have one in all my engines.

Review: 5 stars easily. NOTE: Use an OEM crush washer and a new one every time you change your oil. The OEM crush washer fits perfectly around this magnetic drain plug so this is better than the provided crush washer or aftermarket one purchased at your local auto store.This drain plug screams USA MADE quality it is superb in craftsmanship to any drain plug I’ve put my hands on. Rock solid, not some aluminum magnetic drain plug that you pray doesn’t fail you. In our 2008 Honda CRV this drain bolt goes in perfectly! The magnet is powerful and picks up and holds any metal harmful debris, in addition to what your oil filter removes. Extra protection. You will see what I mean when you place your hands on this drain bolt it is more than worth the price they charge; best craftsmanship/machining I’ve ever seen for a engine drain plug. HINT: The magnet on the end is very strong and may cause the drain bolt to move to one side as you attempt to put it back on so don’t screw it back on until you are certain it is absolutely straight and lined up with the threads. HINT 2: Using any power tool when removing or tightening an oil drain plug is just plain not intelligent. Always use hand tools such as a ratchet and ALWAYS use a quality torque wrench so you don’t over tighten the drain bolt causing you to destroy your oil pan or at a minimum distort your crush washer so it no longer seals properly. Always use a new OEM crush washer they are meant to conform/crush/seal once…yes in a pinch I’ve even reused one but it is not best practice.
