    Review: Just replaced the driver side motor mount. Perfect fit and GM quality. Took me a few hours, but doable w common tools. Took it off under the engine, in stead from the top. Lifted engine to gain more space and it work out.15mm long socket worked the best.

    Title: Novice – First time installing
    Review: As noted in other reviews, the heat shield was bent in shipping. This is of no concern as you will probably have to bend it some during the install. The shield is very easy to shape with just your hands and you will be able to shape it perfectly following your install. Replacing the driver side mount on my 2009 Silverado 4WD. Getting to some of the bolts on the block was a challenge. I disassembled the broken mount to get it out, removing the two nuts that holds on the mounting plate and heat shield. I then followed reverse order with the new one, reassembling it next to the block. I did not have an engine hoist so, as noted on a You Tube video, I used a bottle jack and placed a 6″ piece of 2×4 under the exhaust pipe where it comes down out of the exhaust manifold. Jacking the engine up by the exhaust pipe/manifold was a little scary but it was plenty strong enough and lifted the engine all the way up with no issues. It was tight getting the new mount into position but patience and perseverance paid off. In using the bottle jack, I used a crescent wrench (as opposed to twisting the jack handle) to let the jack down. This gave me precise control over how fast the engine was lowering into position for me to install the last three bolts. While lower it into position, it did stop prematurely and I had to give the mount a light tap with a hammer to get the pin to align with the hole correctly. Once they lined up, I did start my last three bolts, threading them in a ways, prior to lowering the engine all the way down. I am a novice mechanic – this was my fist time to change a motor mount and it took me about four hours to finish the install with all bolts torqued to 35 foot pounds. Very happy with the outcome.

    Title: Great product
    Review: Did exactly what I expected it to. Rides smoother. It was a pain to install even with the proper tools. If I had to do it again I would look for really short extensions. Took about 2 hours for 1 side. The passenger side looked harder to do so I skipped it. Some talk about the heat shields being bent from shipping and mines was bent but it was not a issue at all as it’s supposed to be bendable so you can get the proper angles.

    Title: Definitely a project!!!!!
    Review: Hahaha definitely a 3-4 hour job to remove and install the new motor mount. Just bought this 2011 Suburban and found that the clunk when accelerating from a stop was indeed the motor mount. Looked at many of the cheaper ones, but in the end you do get what you pay for. My Burb has almost 160k on the clock and figure I can get another 150k out of this one then I am all for that. Make sure you prepare for the few hours to do this job and watch many YouTube videos 3-4 times to get the gist. If you’re able to do this on your own you will save many of hundreds of dollars.

    Title: Another Good Plug, That’s Some Plug!
    Review: The threads on this 1/2″x20 plug were a little rough. The outer edge of the thread was a little scratched, but that doesn’t take the load, the flanks of the thread were good. The metric 12M I bought for the other vehicles seemed to be a little better quality craftsmanship. But nevertheless, it’s still a good quality plug. Magnet is super strong. I didn’t use the supplied crush washer, after reading the reviews. I used the UTSAUTO 12mm fiber sandwich crush washer sold here, but I had to ream it out with a 15/32″ drill. You can read my review for them in their listing. So far no leaks.

    Title: Oil Temp Affects Drain Time – 2000 XJ
    Review: First and foremost, this is an awesome product if you have a trail rig or off-roading vehicle that has a skid plate that covers the oil pan.The skid plate on my XJ does have a cut out to reach the drain plug to drain the oil, but when I do an oil change the oil stream overshoots the cutout and goes all over the plate, making a gorgeous and messy oil waterfall.This drain plug does what it advertises, although I will mention that you should get the oil hot before draining. It does take more time to drain, but you can drain directly into a jug and that alone justifies the price (no waterfall = mess = no unhappy wife!).     Review: This pump fixed my oil pressure and ticking issues. Replacing this does require a bit of work and know how but it functions better than the OEM part and does not leak. Fit perfectly and has been installed almost a year and still working. I would say this is a great value for the money.

    Review: Lots of work for this job to replace the oil pump. I removed the old one and installed the new one, O ring is an issue for the I install, assembled to balancer is on started up and got 10psi. It seems more than I had but not what I expected.

    Review: When I purchased this oil drain plug I saw the aluminum part but didn’t expect the entire hex head to be aluminum. It is not anodized. I chose not to use this plug and ordered a stainless steel plug. My concerns of having a drain plug rounding off or even shearing off due to an aluminum hex to apply torque to remove it stoped me. You mileage may vary. It is a nicely machined magnetic plug.

    Review: The plug fit my 2014 charger, but the plug was a good 1/4″ shorter than the original, had a much smaller diameter flange, and was made of aluminum. So, I ended up getting a $4 plug from my local auto parts store that more matched my original steel plug.
