The thermostat housing is located in the engine between the engine and the radiator. When the engine cools off below the operating temperature, the thermostat housing is closed.
The common symptoms of a thermostat housing leak are a stuck thermostat valve, an illuminated low coolant warning light, and the P0128 or P0125 code.

Title: Easy to install and a great upgrade
Review: Had a coolant leak and needed to replace the thermostat. Decided to true and upgraded aluminum one. Also upgraded the crossover coolant pipe cover to an aluminum one as well. It’s been six months and it’s worked great. I create an unboxing video and a step by step instructions video on how to install it. Title: Made of metal
Review: I have replaced my factory thermostat as it gave a check engine error, opening too soon. First one from Autozone, it started sticking and made my Jeep overheat. Then I replaced with one from O’Riellys, same thing, I went back to factory one and got tired of the check engine light for opening too soon. Factory was a concern, so why buy another? Tried the aluminum here and so far, excellent results!!

Title: Solid upgrade for the 3.6L Pentastar
Review: This MITZONE Upgrade Aluminum Thermostat Housing Assembly is a fantastic replacement for the original plastic unit on my 2013 Chrysler Town and Country. I replaced the factory one with a Dorman unit at 120,000 miles, but unfortunately, it failed at 207,000 miles.This aluminum housing is a significant improvement. The most notable upgrade is the inclusion of a bleeder valve. The plastic valve on the previous unit felt flimsy and didn’t seem to seal properly.I highly recommend this upgrade. Don’t hesitate, buy it! It costs only a few dollars more than the cheaper plastic options and offers significantly improved durability and functionality.

Title: Thermostat with Housing for 2011 Chrysler Town and Country.
Review: I was astonished to see that the OEM thermostat housing was plastic. This thermostat housing was aluminum, and it matched the plastic one perfectly, and was fairly easy to install, although that bottom bolt on the housing was a bear to get to. Part fit perfectly and so far there are no leaks, and the check engine light, for low coolant temperature, reset itself. Obviously the old thermostat was stuck in the open position and wouldn’t let the engine get warm enough.

Review: I like that it’s all metal and not plastic. It is not hard to install but you must “burp” the coolant system or you will overheat due to air bubbles being trapped in the system. I did not change out the internal stat and it is working correctly. I am not seeing any overheating issues.

Title: Fits my 2014 Grand Caravan Ram CV 3.6 L v6
Review: This review is for the: MITZONE Upgrade Aluminum Thermostat Housing AssemblyMy car did not overheat or fail to cool the engine. It actually was not getting hot enough. I had an engine alarm show up do I went to my usual repair shop, T&J Service, which is just maybe four miles from my home. I told Tim about the alarm, so he came right out with the analyzer, hooked it up and it showed that the engine did get up to full running temperature. We figured it was the thermostat sticking open and I’d have to get that replaced.I didn’t care for the OEM replacement parts that were available for my Ram CV as they were plastic housings. One of the ‘how-to’ repair videos on YouTube showed a guy getting the old unit out and he broke the plastic housing trying to remove the heater hose. I was concerned that it might break on install as it’s only plastic, so I ordered this aluminum model.It fit like a glove, and I had no problems installing the MITZONE Upgrade Aluminum Thermostat Housing Assembly. It actually took less time than it did to get all the parts off that I needed to in order to install the thermostat.The included photos show the following:1st shows temp gauge at cold start;2nd is temp gauge at thermostat opening and heat starts to flow into the cab area;3rd is where the old thermostat stayed open and didn’t allow more water temp than that;4th is where the new MITZONE Upgrade Aluminum Thermostat Housing Assembly allows the water temp to run now;Before I was getting heat, but I could hold my hands directly in front of the vent on full heat no problem.Now I CAN NOT hold my hands there as it is way too hot for them.Heats my car up nicely now and no more low running temp alarms!I definitely recommend the MITZONE Upgrade Aluminum Thermostat Housing Assembly if your 3.6L Dodge needs a replacement over the plastic housing.

Review: Bought one for each of my two dodges. Original stat and plastic replacements would open at 98-99 celcius and occasionally over 100. Replaced with theis type. Opens at 88 consistently. No malfunction no sticking and no overheating. So far so good! Been almost a month now. Part seems well made. Oem should be like this.
