Title: Tired of replacing door handles? Get these.
Review: I love everything about these handles. To start with, they are MUCH better quality than any others I have used. I think this is my third replacement set and the same thing keeps happening with the other brands: The lever portion (which is usually made of plastic) breaks after about 18 months of use. These have a metal handle and lever and are obviously much sturdier. In fact, there is more metal than plastic in these, unlike the other brands that have no metal except the return spring and the pivot pins. I have confidence that these will last years without breaking.Sure, they’re a little more expensive than others, but far cheaper than the total I have spent on poorly made ones that break after 18 months. Not to mention hours of my life spent taking the doors apart to replace them.Installation was as easy as it could be…all interior door handles like this require you to pull the door liner out, but the fit was perfect and it looks great.I also like that it comes in powder -coated black. The others I have had (including the factory originals) were chrome and I like the black look a lot more.Operation is smooth and sure. It is great to have something that feels sturdy and to not cringe every time I open the door hoping this won’t be the time it breaks.My recommendation: Stop wasting your money and time on cheaper handles. Get these and be done with it.

Title: Better than new! Perfect fit!
Review: Replacement on 2001 Tacomaâ¦First off I want to thank this part company for providing a better quality metal part than the standard plastic junk out there!! The process for replacement wasnât terrible but not something I want to do again soon which would likely happen with a cheap plastic replacement part from other companies. Spend the few extra bucks for metal folks, it should save you future headaches!!I am thrilled with the metal construction which includes the underside of the handle also, which is where the old plastic part broke apart! The fit was spot on and it works better than new again!Few tips on the jobâ¦watch a few YouTube videos on this process and youâll have a good know how of how this goes. The toughest parts of this for me were removing and replacing the interior door handle due to the rod and clip attachment. And the upper rod and clip that attaches to the door handle itself. This wasnât a terribly hard job, but a couple of things can be frustrating, but just stick with it and donât force anything or risk breaking plastic clips.Overall, I am very happy with the quality of this replacement part and how well it fit! Five stars all around!!

Title: Worth the metal price
Review: After owning a 1st gen Tacoma for over 5 years I was tired of every time it was below freezing my door handles breaking. I opted for the metal ones and they work. Definitely has a much heavy duty feel unlike the cheapo stuff on the market.

Title: Good replacement for the price
Review: My stock plastic handles lasted 23 years before one broke. I replaced with the metal version and hopefully they never need to be replaced again. Not sure I like the feel of these as much as the stock handles but I’m sure after a week or so of using I won’t even remember the difference. The plastic rod holder was broken on one of the new handles but I was able to reuse the old one that appeared to be a better piece anyways.

Title: Fixed my broken drivers door handle on my Toyota Tacoma 2004
Review: The handle is so high quality, it opens smoother than when it was new. The stock plastic handle had cracked and barely worked and finally broke completely, I am glad I bought the upgraded metal replacement. It took roughly an hour to replace and works great
