    Title: great replacement key fob
    Review: Bought these for a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT 2WD and they were easy to program and are working great. You just need to get your vehicle into program mode, turn the key from off to on without starting the engine do this 8 times and on the 8th time leave it in the on position and you should hear the door looks activate after that push a button on the fob to unlock the locks and then lock them again (leave the door open during programming) after that do the same with the other fob and that’s it simple.

    Title: Good for price, expect weak battery, and weak plastic
    Review: The loop for the key ring is really weak, breaks far easier than the factory keyfobs. We received them and both worked, 1 died after about 4 weeks though. Fresh battery did get it working again but after about 9 months the loop broke so it now sits in the glovebox.They do work although both of them struggle to open the passenger door, have to push the button 4 or 5 times before it unlocks the passenger door. Driver door unlocks every time, although the range for them is about 1/3 of what the factory fob is. I can trigger the alarm or unlock with the factory fob from about 150′ away. I have to be aboue 30-40 feet away for both of these.All that said, for the price of these, vs the $80 Ford wants, I don’t regret buying them. I don’t know that I can say I’d recommend them though, for what it’s worth.

    Title: Programming Tip 1999 Navigator
    Review: Look up directions on QR code they work. Start inside vehicle with doors locked. Use the door handle to open driver door rather than unlocking door with unlock button NOR with pulling up on the lock brad. Upon the 8th OFF/ON key turning the end result should have the key in the on position (position prior to ignition initiation.) at that point youll hear all the doors unlock like it’s a transformer to it car and you’ll know it’s Time to hit the button on your new dealio doohickey opener remote thingy. Good luck it worked for me with a little gumption.

    Title: Works well when properly used
    Review: First of all, it comes in a nice, molded case — before you unpack it, note how it fits in or take a picture. When you go to put it away after use, you’ll be glad you did.There are some tricks to using this that are not in the manual. Also, the text of the manual says to connect the reservoir to the pump with a 3″ hose – don’t. Use one of the longer hoses (as it shows in the diagram). I keep a spray bottle of water/dish detergent mix in my garage. I highly recommend this in general and as a lube to make the fittings go into the hoses. Some other reviewers said they had trouble with tubing connections coming loose. I had no such problems because of the soap water I used. Also, it’s not good to allow brake fluid to get sucked into the pump. By using the long tube between the pump and the reservoir, it’s easy to keep the reservoir lower than the pump, so no fluid goes into the pump. I also squirted a little of my solution onto the reservoir O-ring. I don’t know if it needed it, but it made the seal very air-tight, no matter which orientation between jar and cap I used (in contrast to another reviewer who had problems sealing).The pump generated plenty of suction. When working on the car, I only used 10 to 15 psi of suction to keep from emptying the master cylinder too quickly. However, the pump easily gets over 20 psi if it is pumping on a sealed system.So, onward to the actual use. After cracking the front left bleeder on my 67 Chevy, I put my bleeder wrench on the screw and connected the pump. I opened the bleeder a 1/4 turn and was rewarded with a good flow of not too clean brake fluid with “pinpoint carbonation” in it. I think the tiny bubbles was my brake system problem, they caused my car to pull right on moderate braking (the bubbles reduced the brake force on the left). It took only about 3 minutes to do the bleeding – I spent more time jacking up the car, getting the wheel off, etc.I did not see any air leakage back up the bleeder threads as reported by other reviewers. I disagree with the reviewers who suggested putting Teflon tape on the bleeder threads. Introducing a material that wasn’t part of the brake system design could be unsafe. If the bleeder leaks along the threads, consider replacing it with a new one or put a finger full of grease over the outside of the bleeder (thus not inside the brake system). Normally the threads will be wet with brake fluid and won’t pass much air. If it takes a lot of suction to get the brake fluid to bleed out, it is likely an indication of an obstruction in the system such a rust in the brake lines (the flexible hose from the car body to the wheel is particularly prone to rusting up). Clear any such obstructions or the brakes won’t be safe no matter how much you bleed them.I’ve only had it a short time, so I can’t comment on its durability. It seems to be made well enough but keep in mind you don’t get a $100 tool for the price of this set.

    Title: Works, but can be tricky as fills fast.
    Review: The pump is easy to set up and operated.The small bottles only hold like 4-6 ounces each and so you have to stop and empty them before you’ve finished pumping out typical volume of normal car reservoir. I had to fill it more than little over 2 x.. would suggest the bottles be 12 or even 14 ounces instead . Did 2 Hondas in same day. Spilled some because the tubing is rather stiff and when trying to transfer the fluid to old container it wants to twist and turn and drip from the end of tube.The included hard shell case is nice touch but it is tight so you must disassemble all the dirty hoses to put it away, a bit challenging after it’s been used.The bottles are so light they will just flip. Helps to have another pair of hands to hold things.Still it’s worth it. Good for consumer. Can use multiple times but not pro level..

    Review: I love cheap tools. I’ve got a garage full of cheap tools that have served me well for years. Whether it’s Amazon, the Wal store, H Freight, the big orange box store, or even the OG Sears, I’ve got tools from all those places plus a few car parts stores to boot.With that as context, this may be the worst cheap tool I have ever bought. As in, it literally did not work out of the box. I finally got around to using it today and all I can say is that if you read the negative reviews and still buy this tool, you must not care about your money.In short, don’t buy this. It did not work for me. It could not pull a vacuum to extract the brake fluid. So I had to go back to the old school method of working the brake pedal.It’s too bad because I’m rooting for Duratech. Like I said, I love cheap tools, assuming they actually work at all.

    Review: I’ve been using this charger to charge 3 go kart batteries so far. It works great as far as charging them to 13V and slow trickle charge them over 13V. I like the fact that trickle charging is safe and no need to disconnect immediately after fully charged. So far so good. The device is small and easy to use. I believe it’s worth the cost of having a safe charger that you can depend on.

    Review: Update 22 June 2024: five down to three was too harsh. It was extremely inexpensive and served well for four years. After searching (endlessly) for an appropriate replacement, I ended up buying another MotoPower unit – their 1.5a version. I figure a device with a little more heft probably won’t generate as much heat as this one did, so may last even longer; and it was barely more than what I paid for the first one!Update 19 June 2024: After almost exactly four years in service, The charger died. Wife smelled the acrid scent of burnt out electronics and alerted me to it. It was in use daily for all four years. A while after the narrative below, I had set up a Raspberry Pi to monitor the battery voltage and turn this on when it reached a certain threshold – the backend story is the 2018 Honda Accord has a nasty parasitic draw problem, so it was necessary to alway have it monitored and charged cyclicly. So it was powered on and off from a few times to maybe ten times a day. However, a charger like this is _not_ a complex device; exactly four years of service strikes me as ‘planned obsolescence’. So I’m dropping the rating from five stars to three stars. It is not hard to build simple electronics to last decades. There’s just no good excuse for a short life – other than to ‘encourage’ a new purchase.Here’s my tale:After a couple of months of driving my car barely once a week during the COVID-19 isolation orders, my 2018 Honda Accord wouldn’t start. Tried a jump start from wife’s 2002 Honda Civic – still no go. yikes! Got out the decent quality multi-meter I have – less than 8 volts, from a 12V battery. Double yikes! Checked the electrolyte – whoa, one of the six cells had exposed plates. Well, that fairly well explains the very low volts. Topped it up to the line, then tried jump start again…yep, triple yikes.Well, I had plenty of time on my hands being furloughed, so I ordered this little unit. Inexpensive, but it made appropriate promises for what it can do, for what it costs. Ratings good. Some horrible though. Took the chance.At 800mA, this is not going to charge a 500Ah car battery quickly. I hooked it up and monitored the voltage for several days. Weather was rather warm, 80’s to 90’s F, and I noticed this little device getting pretty darned hot – too hot, in fact.Disconnected it and took off the back plate. Board very hot to touch, capacitor and transformer too hot to touch. Bad design! This thing needs to either be potted with a non-conductive heat sink material for full contact with the inside of the case, or the case needs vents. Period. That much heat will toast those components over time. True – I was asking the device for all it had – to charge a pretty deeply discharged 12V high amp capacity battery. Which isn’t _per se_ its intended function. Still though.I decided to DIY. Took a drill and drilled four holes in the back plate, and two holes on each side, see photos. Pretty? Not on your life. Crude but fairly effective? Yes indeed, at least, it allowed _some_ of that heat to dissipate.Eventually there was enough charge to start the car, took it for a long drive, then hooked it up again to see if it would complete the full cycle – which it did after another day. It eventually hit the couple of voltage marks to go into absorption mode, then into float mode. Highly accurate too – 14.19v – still absorption mode. 14.20v – boom, float mode. Repeatable.For twenty bucks, it did what I wanted – and most importantly, what I _expected_ – unlike some of the reviews that complain it took days to charge their battery…well duh! It puts out less than an amp, expecting a fast charge from a slow charge device is just….dumb.That said – please guys – make the ‘slotted’ sides into real slots, to let some air flow through it. I realize it adds a little to the manufacturing costs, but people will get a longer life out of their (admittedly tiny) investment in this – and maybe fewer will die out in the field, eliciting bad reviews.As for me, I’m very happy with it – because it met my expectations.

    Review: Purchase this to line the inside of a generator shed and help with sound absorption and some heat reflection. Very strong and aggressive adhesive that bonds well to the plastic. That was one of the challenges is that not many things want to bond well to low density polyethylene, which is what I believe the shed is made out of. Like the product and would buy it again.

    Review: The insulating roll was purchased to cover the interior hood of a car. The factory insulation was sagging and not staying in place, causing a nuissance when servicing the vehicle. The insulation was easy to installvafter cleaning the mating surface. Although thinner than the factory insulation, it foes a better job in reducing the audible engine noise and appears to insulate heat very well. I did not buy enough for my project and required a second roll. Definitely recommend it as it works well at a fraction of what similar insulation rolls cost.

    Review: The clamps are good. The wires are good. The polarity is reversed and I was not aware. I hooked them up to jump a lawn mower and there was a pop. Sparks and smoke. I was able to quickly disconnect the clamps before my jump pack was damaged. The battery post was damaged though.

    Title: This portable heater worked so much better than I expected!
    Review: I wasn’t sure how well this would work but thought it might be a good addition to the things I have in my vehicle for cold winter nights. Those cold winter nights fog up and sometimes ice up your inside windows causing me to start and run the vehicle for a long time before I can even see out of it clearly. The biggest problem is waiting for the engine to warm up and begin providing hot air. We had a chilly damp night the other night and this portable car heater really stood up and did what it needed to do. I was amazed at how fast it heated up And got right to work defrosting all of my windows. I was on my way about three times faster and will definitely keep this in my car all the time so that I’m not sitting around with my engine running and wasting gas.

    Title: Surprisingly Good
    Review: I admittedly had low expectations for this device. My older truck is very drafty and I wanted something to keep me a little warmer on winter rides. It plugs in easily and blows out hot air within just a few moments. The mounting gear requires you stick something onto your dashboard – I just have this sit on the center console to avoid that.

    Review: I bought this car heater defroster and it is a savior in cold weather. The high power and fast heating makes defrosting the windshield very easy.     Review: Perhaps this filter deserves 5 stars; it depend on how you evaluate it. It seems to be the only HEPA, MERV 17 filter available for our vehicles. I wish it was possible to determine the MERV level of every cabin air filter, to help decide which one to buy. The principal drawback is reduced air flow. This is very noticeable. Bosch’s own literature states that this meets HEPA standards, but there are many levels within that domain. Quoting from their brochure: “efficiency of 99.97% at 0.3 microns.” That equates to MERV 17 using the ASHRAE Standard 52.2. You can do a search to find relevant info on that standard. IIRC, that’s better than the minimum standard for a surgical ward! So, this filter should be capable of removing most particles smaller than 0.3 microns, including unattached virus, carbon dust, sea salt, and combustion smoke. During this summer’s many forest fires, the air quality declined markedly. We could still smell the smoke, but I noticed that the filter held a lot of gray soot particles. This wasn’t as noticeable in the standard filter from our other vehicle. Bottom line: if you absolutely want or need MERV 17 filtering, this is your filter. If you want to retain normal airflow, get a Wix, or something else. Some makers claim to remove 95 percent of small particles, which equates to MERV 16. That’s not bad. To function properly, thickness of a MERV 17 filter (in our vehicles, at least) would need to be at least double; there’s just not enough surface area available in a small cabin filter.

    Title: Great high quality air filter!
    Review: Dealership wanted to charge $55 for a basic filter replacement, $75 for HEPA. I’ve been able to get this BOSCH HEPA filter from Amazon consistently for under 20 bucks and it’s great quality and offers a lot better air filtration compared to a basic air filter. I’ve noticed less smell in my car and the air con just feels nice and fresh. One youtube video and I realized just how easy it is to replace the filter on my 2016 Camry. Save your coin and do it yourself!

    Review: I bought this filter a while ago, and today had some time to actually test it outside the car held up to a blower, using my Laser Egg 2 particle monitor. Outdoor air had a raw count reading of about 2400 particles per 0.1L. With the 6055C against the blower and the particle counter against the other side of the filter, I got a reading of 0. After a bit the reading rose to 3. This is the same kind of reading I get with a HEPA room air purifier. For comparison, I tested a Fram CF10285 cabin air filter against the blower, and the particle count was about 1400.20230522 update: left it in way too long (3 years), much restriction built up, and a mouse used the filter media for keeping warm, but amazingly none of the fluff made it to the other side. I guess the pleats were tight enough to hold it back. Photos are of the same end, but one’s flipped over. Some grey is showing on the downstream side, so maybe it’s not a medical grade HEPA, but it worked to retain particles.The only limitation is caused by the car itself. I had hoped to be able to have HEPA-filtered air blowing from the vents, but the particle reading ends up being around 450 due to leakage around the filter frame. The car doesn’t have a tight seal around the filter.A few months ago I sat in a Tesla Model X with “bioweapon defense mode” activated, and the air from the vents in that car read about 100 on the Laser Egg 2, showing that Tesla might also have the limitation of leakage around the edges of their HEPA filter. I need to build a filter holder for the Bosch 6055C that will seal properly in this 2017 Toyota Sienna.
