Title: Works for applications other than cars
Review: I bought this paint because I loved the color and sheen. But I was unsure if it would work on something besides metal. I have the huge gorgeous pitberry wreath for my front door in a deep red (use every Christmas). After a few years of Northwest weather, the pip berry’s were showing white and looking scruffy (they are not really for hanging outside in the rain). I tried one time to spray paint them with so-so results, until I found this paint. Omg, what a game changer. The wreath was restored to its glory. The sheen and the rich color are stunning. This is both an amazing color and a perfect shine. I would recommend it to crafters as well as the car buffs. A+

Title: Amazing Color
Review: One of the nicest color paints I’ve ever used. Super easy to work with, spray over the metallic base and be sure to go light on the coats to build it up, as I noticed it can run a bit easier than normal gloss paint.Used on 3D printed PLA plastic, sanded, primed, and base coated with rust oleum metallic base before this red top coat.

Title: Beautiful translucent color.
Review: Because the paint is transparent the color underneath will show through. I painted directly over new calipers and the color started off very light blue. It gets darker with every coat. I used 6 coats to get it as close to the cap color as possible.The spray nozzle gives a perfect v shaped spray, just like a paint gun, and it works in any orientation. Which is very helpful when getting good coverage on an awkwardly shaped part like a brake caliper.One can was more than enough for my front calipers, but I don’t know if I’ll have enough for when i do the rears.10/10, would purchase again

Title: Great color, especially if you use a metalic gold or silver coating under it but it does chip easily
Review: Works fantastic on metallic surfaces; I would say this paint is more like a tint and is very thin, so apply in light thin coats until desired color/darkness is achieved. can use a metallic paint like gold or silver to make a surface have the required look it needs to really shine. I have used this for painting razor dirt bike frames and plastic, and used it for painting 3D printed helmets and props. My only complaints are that the paint will run very easily, its more like a tint so you need to apply in very thin layers. It also chips really easily, more so on metal surfaces than 3d prints. I have tried adding a clear coat to help prevent chipping but the clear coat makes no difference.

Me and my son are doing an RC Halloween build to try and win another truck I used regular white primer and I’m going to use gold metallic and then hit this with it over it finished product should look like the tail I did that quick it was 40° out luckily this weekend’s going to be nice and warm super easy to apply just make sure you do your prep work. You can’t go wrong with Dupli-Color paint

Review: Where is the quality? I don’t mean about the color, because the color is perfect. But why do I have to suffer through the fact that it will not stop spraying after i’m done? I had to yank the head off of the spray can to make it stop and even then, it kept spitting red paint everywhere. Amazing, perfect coverage, very beautiful bud.I don’t need to get covered in paint when i’m using a spray can. I ask, where is the quality. I am literally typing this right now. As the can empties itself upside down without a nozzle on it, because it wouldn’t stop spraying, but it also wouldn’t stop spitting its paint out of it. I love the color. It coded perfectly. But I did not need to have my fingers covered along with everything else near me when I was trying to make it stop spraying. This is worse than 3m products. That literally stick to nothing but human skin. And ten years ago I would have spent half as much. I’m really really mad. But darn, the projects I was working on, look amazing.. I bought a second can that arrived yesterday. This can will not spray anything at all! If I could give zero stars, I would give zero stars. Thank you so much for and a half cans of paint that I cannot use.

Title: The Purple Paint You Need!
Review: I’ve used this paint before but people need to know that they’re dealing with a lacquer and if it’s not prepped correctly you will have a reaction due to the existing paint underneath. Make sure prep is done correctly and the primer is compatible otherwise it will wrinkle…It’s SOFT when first applied but it tacks super fast and allows for unlimited coats that when cured will be harder and more durable than your typical urethanes etc.The matte lays down really well, the color from can to can is quite uniform. The tip sprays nicely, just give it a little extra shake as you lay it down.Unlike typical urethanes and such, you won’t have to worry about it laying down too dry. It dries quickly and you can lay down endless coats smoothly. Works extremely well!

Title: Love this stuff!
Review: Using Dupli-Color lacquer primer and then topping of with this Custom Blue gives great results . If you want the glowing blue look use white primer and then follow with this Rust Oleum , it is better looking than any compressor spray gun job I ever did ,and better by far over any spray can results. I know lacquers can crack or become brittle , but if it lasts a couple years . I will re-do it , because the results are worth it.

Title: One of a Kind Color!
Review: The true color of this paint is one of a kind. While I expect to order things online the color be off then what it shows I was lucky enough to get a can of this in person and try it prior to my order and absolutely love it. I had been looking for the perfect purple for some time prior to finding this and I was never really happy until I found this.My only complaint was the nozzle that comes on the spray can. It is a flat spray which I didn’t like at all. I was wasting more paint from the overspray. Easy solution though, just use the top of a different can if you have one which is what I did. The spray once I changed the top was much more accurate for my needs.The coverage is great as long as you use two light coats it covers like a charm. I used just a little over 3 cans to paint my car’s rims. I wouldn’t recommend using anything to speed up the drying process as I tried to apply some heat the first go around and it caused a reaction that changed the color of the paint to a hazy white version of purple and I had to repaint. It dries on it’s own very quickly a great selling point.The finish dries as a Matte or satin. I personally rather have a gloss so I used a clear gloss protectant as my top coat. That of course is only my preference and it’s not to say anything negative about the finish.All in all I absolutely adore the color of this paint, and wish it was available more in stores so I don’t have to wait. I will be purchasing more of this and I would highly recommend for anyone that likes the color purple as you won’t find another spray can this color!

Title: Very thin coverage
Review: Make sure you use a good covering primer before using this as it’s a very thin paint. Tried it on bare metal and it didn’t hide even small scuff marks. Used a primer and it covered perfectly after that. Love the final color, it’s a perfect matte color. Wish I could get a gallon of this to paint my entire vehicle

Title: Can was full, did not spray at all.
Review: This can of Nardo Gray spray paint arrived in perfect condition. It felt full, the can rattled when I shook it but it did not spray at all, not even a drop. When I tried to return it Amazon directed me to Rust-Oleum’s support page which was annoying. I submitted a screen shot of my Amazon order along with a request for a complete refund to Rust-Oleum and to their credit they responded the next business day saying they would send me a check covering the purchase price and tax.It would be better if Amazon owned the bad product return/refund in house, but at least Rust-Oleum stood up and agreed to make it right.

Title: Shake can excessively for best results
Review: Great product, very easy to use. I’m not a painter, but I work in the construction industry. I followed all the directions to paint my headache rack and truck box with the “rugged black”.Recommendations:- prep surface-Shake can for a solid minute before using and allow to warm up.-Shake can every 10-15 seconds for a second or 2. This helped keep my spray consistent.- apply lightly. The rugged look is accomplished by bubbles that’ll shrink as it dries. I found it was better to do multiple coats than to apply heavily.- buy more than you think you need. Seriously!- overspray. I painted on an old slab of concrete in my yard. Just be mindful about where you use this.

Title: Cheap Single Stage Paint
Review: Bought this to be used as a base coat for my project car that I painted a chameleon color. It lays down nicely and actually has a nice glossy finish. I had purchased another version of their “Jet Black” color which was more expensive then this but when I finished with that “Jet Black” can I got this to save money seeing as you would not see the base coat anyways. It didn’t change the tint of the final color either.

Review: This was my first time spraying with a gun . To my surprise it came out almost perfect not the paints fault but had some dirt specks fall on the roof . Just add the activator fill and set the gun and spray used a 1.4 tip and 24psi worked great recommend this paint .

Review: Originally bought Hedume 6 Pack Tape and Drape, Assorted Masking Paper for Automotive Painting and was very pleased with how the tape adhered and the plastic remained in place while taping. I didn’t want to purchase the 6 rolls so I bought this alternate product, bad idea, should have stayed with the previous product. This tape did not adhere as well except for sticking to the plastic which would not stay in place and would easily roll off and stick to the tape causing extra removal and ripping the thinner plastic, the other seemed to have a static when unrolled and allowed it to stay in place when finishing to unroll and tape in place..

Title: Good masking paper
Review: I used this when I was repainting my car and the 3 different sizes were very handy. What was troublesome was when I had to cut off a longer section and stick it. The small sticky edge often wasn’t enough to hold it while I was unfolding. I ended up putting a piece of masking tape on my project then attaching this paper to that. This is a good value product.

Title: Good primer.
Review: This primer is pretty darn good for the price.. It is a little thick for HVLP gun with 4.0 tip so I thinned it 5% and used three coats.. It was still a good build thickness and was able to block sand with 600 grit, wet and it left a nice, smooth surface. It sands easily. So far after being painted, I don’t see any shrinkage or dry back spots. It’s been a month and so far so good.. I would have to say it’s better than I thought it would be. For a user friendly primer at a cheaper price, I definitely recommend it!

Review: i use this primer a lot at home on my own stuff. i think its the best primer money can buy. i see some reviews saying its too thick. i spray it out of my SATA jet RP gun with a 1.3 inner head and needle. it lays down and sprays great. i recommend any speedo cote product to anyone. I’ve also used the clearcoat. That buffs nice and hold a beautiful shine.

Review: Start off, I am a first time painter. This is my 1988 Suzuki Samurai. I chose Speedokote because of their reputation for great products. This by far is the best primer for a first time user. Was used with a Harbor Freight primer gun. Layed down very even. Three coats does the trick. Covers many imperfections. This product is thick, so I did use the Speedokote reducer 4:1. Sands very easy. I can not wait till I layed down my first coat of red on her. Speedokote, I would do a review on your red single stage paint if you send me some. Thanks 😊

Title: Excellent Product – My Go-to for Rust Prevention and Treatment
Review: I’ve used Rust Bullet for years on my 2000 4Runner that spent some time in the salty northeast.Prior to the salt exposure, I brushed Rust Bullet on all the common trouble areas: frame, joints, welds, etc. I then undercoated the remainder of the frame. This was over ten years ago. The areas where I applied Rust Bullet have remained 95% rust free, with only a few minor specks finally showing through here and there, likely from poor prep or rocks chips.With all rust treatments, surface preparation is critical. This applies like a paste and hardens exceedingly well. It’s expensive, but a little bit goes a LONG way. Make sure to be cautious when you are first opening the can – it is very difficult to seal it up again if you don’t use it all. I actually applied some cheap silicone caulk around the lip to ensure it won’t harden on the shelf.

Title: Awesome product!
Review: I used this on the hood of my 1972 VW super beetle and I’m about to apply it on the deck lid and roof. I used locktight rust remover gel on the small amount of rust spots, followed by a mild degreaser to wash, then applied rust bullet. It brushed on smooth, left no brush marks, covered beautifully and actually looks nice. I’m confident that this product will protect the metal while also creating a nice smooth even surface to paint over. I’ve had it on my hood for over a month now and its holding up well. The can is bit of a pain to open but, I’m 60yrs old with arthritis in my hands and I managed to get it off without spilling any so…..regardless of the 5 mins it took to pry it off, once I saw the performance of this product? I’d gnaw it off with my teeth if I had too (almost) to get it open the product is worth it. Don’t shake the can, leave it upright, pry open and stir it well to insure you get no bubbles, and brush it on your classic vehicle with confidence. I just ordered more p!us a can of rust bullet whiteshell and a can of their blackshell which I plan on using inside and outside of my vehicle. You won’t find a better product, don’t let the difficult can scare u off this great product. Remember, if it gets bubbles while opening, let them dissipate before application, stir until mixed well with no bubbles for a perfect finish. Enjoy, and good luck with ur restoration project.

Review: I sprayed this in my hood and trunk area and brushed it on my wheel wells on my 1969 Beetle. Everywhere but the area in the picture got a coat of Rust Bullet blackshell coating. I also coated the underside of the floor pan with both. It is thin to brush on but coats well. It is easy to spray with a HVLP gun but make sure you clean up quickly as this stuff turns into a plastic type coating before you know it. Thin coats are better than thick ones. I would suggest 3 thin spray coats rather than the 2 coats they call for. 2 coats may be ok if you brush or roll it on. If you use a brush or roller be prepared to throw it away after using it. Some tips for using this: be careful opening the lid as you won’t want to bend it for storage reasons. If you spill product on the lid sealing surface, clean it off! Use a cotton swab and thinner if necessary to keep area clean to allow the lid to reseal. This product is instantly activated when you open the can, so don’t expect to store it forever after it has been opened. I have made it last 2 years somehow by resealing it carefully but I wouldn’t count on that every time. Overall, I will continue to use this. It works great every time and encapsulates the rust.

Title: Perfect for small touch up rust spots
Review: I used it on my silver Honda Civic. At first, I was worried that this small can would not be enough for a job. Turn out it’s more than enough for a few rusty spots I had. I end up applying a few coats of paint to use up all the paint. A few warnings, the can is kind of hard to open and if you close it to reuse it later the lid will be stuck. I would suggest putting a plastic over the lid and using pain in a few days or it will be dry soon. Paint has a strong smell so plan to keep your car outside for a day at least. Overall easy to apply good match for my silver car.

Title: First timer DIY Custom Auto Paint Job and it looks phenomenal
Review: First of all, Wow! I am thrilled with how this paint worked for my vehicle and how easy it was to use! In applying this paint, I used an 8-gallon, 1.5 HP air compressor with a 1.4mm tip on a gravity feed HVLP cheap spray gun at 8-12 psi. I mixed the paint at the 4:1 ratio it calls for in the instructions without adding any reducer or anything like that, and it was the perfect mix for application! I did all the prep and painting in my front yard at 70-90 degrees. It does better the closer to 70 degrees you get, but when you don’t have a professional auto paint booth, you have to do what you can with the conditions you get. Once all the prep work was done, it took me roughly two 6-hour days to paint my Jeep Cherokee. I applied 3 to 4 coats of paint over the whole body, excluding the bumpers. Again, I am not a professional, and this was my first time painting a vehicle with actual painting equipment and automotive paint, but if you have the patience, time, and dedication to your project vehicle. You can make that project vehicle look good as new! I will add some pictures of my Jeep when I can for reference!

Title: Good stuff!
Review: I bought a new bumper for my truck after denting and scuffing it up a bit, but the new bumper came in black, so I needed to paint it to match factory. This stuff claimed to be match factory for Ford, so I gave it a shot. Following the instructions, I first started by taking a Scotch Brite pad to both pieces (didn’t have 600 grit sandpaper). Next, I used only a single can (bought two, but didn’t even use the full can) and applied three light coats per piece with ~10 minutes of drying in between coats, then 45 minutes before applying the Duplicolor clear coat finish. Three coats with 10 minutes in between as well. Ive got to admit, the final product turned out great! I’m not sure if the color matches up 100%, but it’s pretty close. Either way, I’m impressed by how it turned out. Definitely worth the money and it was pretty easy even for someone like me that usually hates painting. The drying time was quick and it looks good. The paint looks even and smooth. We’ll see how it holds up over time, but I am impressed with the Duplicolor color match spray paint!

Title: Much Better than Touch-up Bottle
Review: I scrapped the front spoiler of my car on a curb. Many white marks too deep to remove with scratch repair, rubbing compound, etc. I’ve used the small touch up bottles before for paint repair, but they are not smooth and leave obvious paint lines on the repair. Decided to do a full spray of 1/4 of the spoiler with Victory Red Dupli-Color.Before doing so I watched several videos on auto paint repair. A few points that stand out from the videos. Preparation is key. The paint area has to be degreased and absolutely clean. Light coats are better than heavy coats. You need to use primer and clear coat if you want a professional finish. To that end, I applied two coats of primer, four coats of paint, and two coats of clear coat. The color matched perfectly and from a distance you would not know the spoiler had been painted. Up close, the painted area is a bit higher in texture due to the 8 coats of primer, paint and clear, but I wanted to assure the paint would not peel, which is a common paint repair problem particularly on composite nonmetallic parts. If you want a smoother finish, a coat of primer, two coats of primer of paint and one or two coats of clear may work better.The paint itself is an exact match. I did not use Dupli-Color primer or clear, but rather a name brand substitute. This worked fine. If you decided to take on this project, make sure you have a respirator. This paint definitely has more fumes than regular spray paint. Also, paint on a day when you can keep you garage door open. I don’t recommend spraying outside as this increases the chance of overspray. Mask off everything you don’t want painted and tarp your floor as the spray will descend on a wide area of the floor.With a little bit of patience, work and adherence to directions, anyone can do this project. My guess for a body shop to do a similar project would be around $500, as they would remove the spoiler and likely paint the entire spoiler. Time and labor add up even on small repair projects. I know this from experience as the same car was t-boned by someone who ran a red light and the repair costs was $18,000, most of it body and paint related. I paid $40 for all paint and masking tape. Save yourself some money and do it yourself.

Title: Matches 2004 Camry and was good for home repair job
Review: Gather ’round, children, and let me tell you a tale of reasonable car restoration. In 2021 your boy was working two jobs: one a day role managing operations for a marketing agency for 8 hours, and the other as a dishwasher for a restaurant for the next 8 hours. In addition there was a 45 minute drive each way from where I live to the restaurant and back. So we are talking long hours. I slept maybe 4 or 5 hours a night. I had taken the restaurant job in an emergency situation (hey, 30K a year ain’t bad when nothing else is coming in) and was sticking with it while I was feeling the agency job out.So I was working 16 hours a day, in the summer heat, 5 or 6 days a week. Friday night, well Saturday morning, really, I got off the restaurant job after many sweaty hours (no cooling in that back of house!). I had parked my 2004 Camry in a hotel gararge a block away and was giving a less fortunate fellow employee a ride home. As we got into the car, which was parked next to a massive rectangular pillar, your boy was blathering away at his aquaintance. My Chatty Cathy mode was in full effect. Putting the car in reverse without paying attention at all, I scraped along the pillar with the passenger side door.I don’t drink or do drugs. I’m a good driver and don’t have any points on my license. But the fact is that I was basically intoxicated after several months of 16 hour days with physical labor and little sleep night after night. I would never have done this under normal circumstances. I would have carefully looked around and checked before starting to drive, especially in reverse. But now my car was deeply scraped and dented, with orange undercoat glaring along that door. Ick.A few weeks later I quit the restaurant job. Now I was dating and man that bunch of digs and scrapes was embarassing! Calling around to some shops, I found their pricing to fill and repair or replace with a junkyard door was way out of proportion to the value of the vehicle–a quarter of the blue book price. No way! I thought I was stuck with the ugly orange reminder forever.In the spring of 2023 I started looking for options. What can I say, I am both busy and slow. Enter this paint. I bought a can and sprayed it on. I was not professional. I did it outside, in my driveway, in the wind, without any PPE. This was an improvement, but I learned about this can. It * did * clog and sputter. It * was * hard to apply with just my finger. I got a lot of drip down the door and thought it was me. But I’ve ran a metal fab shop and know how to apply spraypaint, so what gives? Maybe that I could hang or sit the object down for better angles, and I can’t do that with the door?So the door was say 20% improved with this first pair of coats. You could still see a small bit of the orange, and somehow some purple, though. I waited a year, then got brave again. How about I learn, and this time get a respirator, a snap on spray handle that you squeeze with your whole hand instead of one finger, and another can of paint and try again?This spring, 2024, I tried again. The sun went in and out of clouds and pissed me off with the constant change of light and heat. The wind kicked up. I had taped the door off this time and still got some on the windows. The surface ended up kind of matte, a bit rough for my taste…but overall the experience was much improved. I got two coats out of this can, then snapped the above photo to send to a friend who has seen the car in person many times over the past several years.”Holy cow!” he said. “That is so much better!” He reminded me the purpose of this kind of work is to make your car or whatever look 8% better. It doesn’t need to be a masterpiece. He has been holding off improving his own car because of expecting and knowing he’ll be disappointed by wanting a 50% improvement.Look–this is say 3 or 4 coats total. I haven’t put clearcoat on it. Since May 2024 it has stood up to spring storms, heavy rain, hail, long trips back and forth from North Carolina to Virginia. We’ll see in a year or so if it needs further coats or what (remember, I am busy and slow). If you’re waiting on making an improvement to your car, and the listing says the color will match, it will well enough. Don’t expect perfection but do expect visible improvement. Invest in $30-50 of other supplies like the respirator (mine was $17) and the clip on handle (around $8) and you’ll get good results. For what I invested I feel this is a valuable and worthwhile improvement. I hope this was entertaining and informative for you.

Title: Decent spray gun with replacement cups
Review: Was able to use this spray gun after the first try. It works well, can be adjusted for the volume of air and paint, and replaceable nozzles are a plus. I haven’t tried all of them yet, but I started with the smallest one. Replaceable cups really good option so you can use different colors at the same time as painting, just switch the cup and prime nozzle before use. Seals well so they can store paint in them for a couple of days. You don’t need to clean the cup each time after use or when switching colors. One minus, but I assume that can happen, in 2 cup caps: mesh that filters paint is not secured well to the cup and is loose on one side.

Review: Found machine drill shaving marks left behind in the nozzle air flow tip (and what looks to be a chunk of drill bit left in one hole). The air flow did not spray evenly, but after cleaning out the shavings it did improve. Seller gave full refund and made it right. Good transaction. I would just advise to check out all the pieces out before assembly. Very decent gun for the price.

Title: Not Suitable for High-Quality Projects

Title: Dries hard, fast and can be polished to a high shine
Review: You might initially hesitate to purchase at this price point, but 2K is different than other aerosol clear (urethane) you might find. There is a canister of curing agent inside the can that mixes with the paint before use. This is why it is only good for 2-3 days after activating (maybe a little longer, but the remainder eventually hardens inside the can). Also note, it is Not the same as 2X aerosol paints…But the results are great. It dries to touch within 20-30 min and can be sanded a few hours later. Full cure is just a few days, and it dries hard! A high gloss finish is then possible with progressive wet-sanding and then polishing. I’ve had other aerosol clears not completely cure even months later. The spray pattern is fan-shaped and very consistent. It can be sprayed over a lacquer but Not an enamel. It does Not need to be sanded between coats; 4-6 typically deep enough before sanding and polishing.CONTAINS ISOCYANATES – you must wear a respirator and spray in a ventilated booth. Do not treat 2K like your average spray paint.

Title: Amazing stuff! Your vehicle will look like its new!
Review: I wish I could give 10 stars for this stuff! I literally made a mess of my vehicle trying to fix small things. When I purchased it used last year I didn’t notice some discoloration on the front bumper, so I bought a bra. I didn’t take the bra off when I washed my vehicle so I didn’t notice until a lady backed into me in a parking lot that the bra had damaged the paint on my hood when I took it to the body shop for repair. The insurance company didn’t want to pay for the entire area because of prior damage. The guy at the shop kept saying that he would just take the money and do something else with it since it wasn’t enough to repair my hood and bumper!😳 He figured since I had a bra on it it wouldn’t matter. I was so upset because I didn’t plan on keeping the bra on forever. My plan was to eventually get my bumper fixed now It’s my bumper and hood and the lady had pushed my bumper out some. After waiting on the money my insurance company would give me towards the repair I was trying to figure out what to do. Like I said I had made a mess, right. Well, I also had issues in my rear bumper because I was trying to back up with my trailer hitched. I am new to this trailer thing… Well my back bumper was pushed out some because of that incident which would have cost $1,500.00 to fix. I had spoke with my insurance company about all of this and I hadn’t filed a report on the trailer incident and wasn’t sure I wanted too because of it affecting my rate. It wasn’t major damage just minor. But my trying to fix a little spot with Duplicolor made a small paint defect into a large. My husband and youngest daugther laughed at me. They said you don’t paint your car with spray paint! Of course I just sprayed it on and had no clue about preparing your vehicle to be painted. Silly me was even trying to be cheep and used the wrong color that I KNEW was wrong because I had found cans of similar color at Dirt Cheap for $2.00 a can. There was nothing wrong with the paint other than one of them was for a GM charcoal gray and the other was for a Toyota Plantation gray; my vehicle is Toyota Magnetic Metallic gray. They were close but not right. I had bought the cans for a camper project so I had about 20 cans. Well, when I first thought about how I was going to fix my paint issues I thought about that paint!😂 Bad idea! A mess! More laughs from my husband and daugther… Thank God for UTube! I went to body piant school!😂 It rained and was cold for weeks and I have a carport not a garage. I know my neighbors thought I was crazy because before the rain started i was literally sandmg down and priming my car in my carport driveway because I knew the rain was coming and I wanted to be able to pull it in the carport when it started. People check out the prices of items before you buy them on here. I love Amazon. Buy from them all the time and usually my first place to go when looking for certain things such as this paint. Well, I can tell you I didn’t like the Duplicolor clear coat from my experience with my back bumper. It was a runny mess! I actually ended up buying all the Duplicolor of my color in Alabama! 😂 Well, this was my first time and like I said the weather was a mess even with me buying plastic and covering my entire carport and putting three heaters in my carport. I also had blankets on the inside out the carport behind the plastic. I had to fix a few areas a few times with my wet sanding. Of course I had to go to “grit” school also!😂 Anyway, researching this clearcoat and wanting to make my husband and daughters and all my neighbors laughs into amazement I decided I would purchase this clear coat. A lot more expensive but what people had to say about it and the images I had seen I had to go with this one. I was so nervious because like I said the weather had not been forgivening in my area. Well, after sitting at home working on this thing for two weeks the day came for me to apply my clearcoat. My oldest daugther had been saying during the process, “are you going for a Matt look or a glossy look?” She was looking at my metallic paint that looked very dull. There were times I applied it because of the weather the metallic would just sit on top of the paint!😩 When I wet s no it of course that would come off. I had saw videos where it turned glossy after the clear coat applied. I had used a Duplicolor clear coat bumper paint on my bumper and it had got fry paint so I was not pleased with it either. I repaired the areaa Dan decided to order two more cans of this because I wanted to use it on my bumper as well. I had spent over hundred dollars with buying materials such as pads, sandpaper, towels, primer, filler, primer and filler, base paint, buffer, paint thinner, grease and wax remover, tack rags, compound, finishing glaze, and such and I didn’t want to spent anymore money. I was broke. Well, I was nervous because this product has two parts, one which is a hardener. You have to use it within 48 hours of activating the two part system and to my amazement this product was the best thing about this experience! Just flawless! I have a few paint defects to fix and to do my compounding and polishing but other than that I am al,out done. I will post pics after I am complete. I posted all this to say, it can be done but it’s not easy… Know what you are getting into when thinking about painting your vehicle but if you chose to take on the challenge. Use this clearcoat! It’s amazing and nothing like the cheaper brand spray paints you find. Duplicolor is excellent in the base coat, if you use the CORRECT color!😂 But clearcoat, go with 2K!

Review: I fly RC planes and the fuel used and the oily exhaust just eats almost any brand of paint off the model. A coat of this and no problem. It’s a bit pricey, but on the plus side, while they say a 48hr pot life after mixing, I’ve used leftover paint a week later and it still sprayed and cured without issue.
