Title: Amazing stuff!
Review: Have a metal frame on shop doors that had a good layer of rust on them. This seals the metal completely leaving a paintable surface. Note that it doesn’t create a smooth surface, it just covers what’s there. For my application that’s fine. At least the rusting it stopped and it looks much better. I wish that it came in more colors.

Title: This stuff is great and amazing and I want to marry it
Review: Seriously though this is a great product for covering moderate rust and having it converted into something that’s not harmful while leaving a nice semi-gloss black surface. Easy to spray even coverage high quality product. Definitely best to get off as much rust as you can beforehand just so that it can do its job more easily but that’s just common sense. Highly recommend.

Review: Sprays smoothly, evenly covers the surface and resists runs/drips. Dries very quickly and seems to force out moisture for long term rust-free applications. Used 2 coats as primer on a cast iron park bench, followed by 2 finish coats of Rustoleum in 2015; the bench has been outdoors year round ever since, and NO rust or corrosion has appeared on the bench yet!

Title: Works like a charm
Review: My car only has about 85K on it but started developing major rust around the door sills and skirts and replacing them on a DIY basis would cost me many hours of work, money, fabrication, welding, etc. … and that’s not counting the body work, filling, priming, painting and sealing.As my car sits right now, it looks a lot better than it did and lucky for me, it’s already a mdnight color so the inhibitor just blends right in. I’m happy.

Title: Poor adhesion to bare metal
Review: This product says it is top coat and primer in one. Can be applied to bare metal but when this is done it will scratch off with just a fingernail, even with the clear coat applied on top. The metal was thoroughly cleaned, had no rust and was final cleaned with “Final Clean” (a DuPont paint product) prior to applying the touch up paint. Adhesion was much better when the spot was primed first.

Review: The 4 stars are simply due to the price, what you get and especially what was expected (I had low expectations). I mainly got this for gunning primer and it did fairly well. The spray pattern was a little inconsistent, but that’s why I got it for primer…it can be sanded during prep. Use caution with the cups! My first mix of primer resulted in the metal cup breaking at the fitting and dumping paint everywhere. Thankfully I wasn’t over the parts when it happened. I only used one of the guns and had it on a commercial compressor; however, inline pressure for a good spray was about 26psi (it was also cold here). The inconsistency is when I would stop and start again. Even with an independent regulator on the hose along with a filter, it seemed like the spray pattern didn’t stay consistent. Lubing it up and really working the trigger may help with establishing a more constant result, thus another reason for 4 stars. It didn’t clog, spit or sputter and once the air valve spring works in I have no doubt it will have a positive effect on consistent spray patterns. I also considered that spray issues after longer stops may have been due to the paint cooling in the gun and as science dictates, it becomes more dense. The primer phase temps were in the mid-50s, so not the best environment to make a good judgment and I literally opened the box and used it without even disassembling it first. All-in-all, I’ve seen worse in more expensive guns but obviously don’t expect to be putting out show car quality paint jobs. FYI, my go to gun for individual parts is an SRiPro (base and clear)…and my second one arrived with the spreader valve threads completely stripped. This kit arrived in better working condition than the manufacturer’s more expensive model.

Review: Good little set works well, I’ve painted my 70 barracuda with it and know a few that painted their classics with the same set as well… definitely recommend for a lower end set that isn’t on the super janky cheap side… if you do want to use their pps system verify that you get the right adapter, amazon normally recommends the wrong one

Title: NOT a professional quality painting tool
Review: I was a professional auto and truck painter in years past. Back then, my shop used DeVilbiss siphon or “pressure pot” sprayers as the standard of the industry. I still paint from time to time and thought I would try out this set. I am disappointed in the low volume of material delivered. The spray pattern is excellent but volume delivery is dismal. Takes twice as long to get around the car as it should. Also, the guns need to be disassembled to fit back in the fancy plastic case. Not happening! This is NOT suitable for professional quality car painting.

Title: So far it’s going great!
Review: Got this to paint a car, we do professional painting and varnishing but spraying 2 part paint and primer is still newer to us. Gun hasn’t had any problems that we haven’t been able to fix. Do Not wipe any of the plastic with chemical – dry rag only and always make sure hole in top cap is clear.

Review: I used the clear coat for my knife scale project. I force patina my bronze knife scale and got a great result. Afterwards, I used the clear coating for finishing and it turned out great. I have been using the knife for over a year now, and the coating is still as glossy as day one.

Title: Way better than regulr acrylic lacquer
Review: The Automotive Acrylic Lacquer dries to a strong, hard surface. Quite a bit different than plain acrylic lacquer which fairly soft. If you are careful, it will “lay down” with very little “orange peel” which you can wet sand to a glass like finish. I didn’t want to have to get out the Binks and the compressor for a small piece and this product produced an excellent result. I’ve been spraying lacquer from all the way back to the nitrocellulos days in the 1960’s. I love the way it wet sands and buffs to a high luster.
