HIGH-TEMPERATURE NEODYMIUM MAGNET – Equipped with a powerful rare earth magnet rated for high temperatures. This magnet effectively captures unwanted ferrous particles, ensuring cleaner oil and extending engine life. It operates in temperatures up to 150°C (302°F), higher than standard magnets and above the temperature oil starts to break down (275°F). Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, giving the strength to hold weights over 2.2lbs.

Title: Another Good Plug, That’s Some Plug!
Review: The threads on this 1/2″x20 plug were a little rough. The outer edge of the thread was a little scratched, but that doesn’t take the load, the flanks of the thread were good. The metric 12M I bought for the other vehicles seemed to be a little better quality craftsmanship. But nevertheless, it’s still a good quality plug. Magnet is super strong. I didn’t use the supplied crush washer, after reading the reviews. I used the UTSAUTO 12mm fiber sandwich crush washer sold here, but I had to ream it out with a 15/32″ drill. You can read my review for them in their listing. So far no leaks.

Title: Oil Temp Affects Drain Time – 2000 XJ
Review: First and foremost, this is an awesome product if you have a trail rig or off-roading vehicle that has a skid plate that covers the oil pan.The skid plate on my XJ does have a cut out to reach the drain plug to drain the oil, but when I do an oil change the oil stream overshoots the cutout and goes all over the plate, making a gorgeous and messy oil waterfall.This drain plug does what it advertises, although I will mention that you should get the oil hot before draining. It does take more time to drain, but you can drain directly into a jug and that alone justifies the price (no waterfall = mess = no unhappy wife!). It took an hour to drain because my oil was warm (skin temp,probably 90F) but not hot.Josh’s Rating: Solid 4/5 starsPROS- build quality is good- does what it advertises- fit my vehicle- easy to install- easy, mess-free oil changeCONS- very slow oil trickle- had to speed up with air pressureThe 1 star off is that the oil takes longer to drain, but I may bump it up to 5 stars after my next oil change when I let the oil get up to temp.Note to manufacturer; let me know if you’d like a video of the oil draining for my partucluar set-up.
