Title: Fits and functions perfectly on Suburban 1500 L, 2000
Review: This regulator actually is the 4th replacements I have tried to replace the stock unit that has seized to work properly. The first 2 including an AC Delco and a Delphi units, were sold and shipped by Amazon. The 3rd Delphi unit was bough from NAPA. They all caused the engine rumble loudly, which forced me to reinstall the stock one even though it caused a hard start every single time. The stock one eventually failed completely and caused the check engine light lit up like a Christmas tree. Without much option, I again decided to try this cheaper Delphi unit vs the AC Delco one. To my surprise, the engine started right away without hesitation. Best of all, there has been almost zero abnormal vibration. I have driven the vehicle for 450 miles, and the unit still performs wonderfully.

Title: Works as expected, now easy starting again when hot.
Review: Amazingly easy to replace. Replace vacuum line while at it. After a couple weeks the retaining clip fail, causing gasoline to leak out over the engine and exhaust manifold. Damn close to causing a an engine fire. The simple steel clip holding the regulator in place broke, losing a section holding the regulator in place. Good thing the engine was not hot enough to cause a fire. If I had not noticed drips on the pavement the vehicle would be junk now. As a Metallurgical Engineer I would contribute this to very poor steel quality. Did this instrumental part come from cheap steel? Probably!!! I have received the replacement part, but I do not trust it. Buyers beware!

Review: This is a good Delphi part in a Delphi box and has Delphi stamp on the body. It worked as it should on my gen 3 ls, 4.8 1999 Silverado.At first, my lack of experience (and reading some bad reviews) had me thinking it was the incorrect part, but it wasn’t.Be aware that when you remove the old unit, the old filter screen and the small inner o-ring may not come out with it. (See my pictures) You will need to carefully pull the old filter screen and inner o-ring out of the fuel rail with a pick. When you install the new unit it will be a tight fit fit, but if you carefully push it in as far as you can, it will snug up when you put the metal retaining clip on.Also be aware that when you check the pressure with a gauge, you must have the vacuum hose disconnected, otherwise you will get an incorrect (low) reading.

Title: FAILED AFTER 2000 MILES!
Review: UPDATE 4/25/23 – Truck was running rough so I checked fuel pressure. Only had 44 PSI with the vacuum connected and 52 PSI with it disconnected. SPEC should have been about 60/70 PSI. Very disappointing since it only lasted about 2000 miles on the vehicle (about 1.5 years). I definitely do not recommend this product now…. Try another brand, specifically ACDELCO.Original Review:Installed on my 2002 Silverado with the 8.1L 496ci engine. Install was a breeze and this is working just fine, with no leaks. Great OEM Part!

Title: Perfect Fit 2003 Silverado 5.3L VIN T – Solves Check Engine Light
Review: Purchased for client’s 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L VIN T with the following codes: P0300 Random/Multiple Misfire, P0172 System Too Rich Bank 1, P0175 system Too Rich Bank 2, rough idle, hard to start, delayed start and rich black smoke at exhaust.These are prime indicators of fuel injector gas pressure regulator failure. Physically verify by removing vacuum line from regulator and checking for presence of gasoline. If gasoline is present, then the regulator has failed.Replacement difficulty and skill set requirements: EasyPop the hood, locate the power distribution panel and remove the upper cover.Using the diagram on the underside of the panel, locate and remove the fuel pump relay (gently rock side to side and pull to remove).Attempt to crank the vehicle a couple of times to remove pressure at the fuel rail.Locate the Pressure regulator on the fuel rail.Gently twist and pull to remove the vacuum line.Use a flat head screwdriver and gently pry open the edge of the C-Clip. Once edges are up, then remove the C-Clip (some are equipped with a snap-ring requiring snap-ring pliers to remove).Gently twist and pull to remove existing pressure regulator. Ensure diaphragm and small black O-Ring are removed.Apply light oil or WD40 to new pressure regulator O-Rings to aid in installation.Install new regulator by gently pushing and twisting until it seats completely (some movement is normal and will not impact operation).Install C-Clip or Snap-Ring to secure regulator in place.Reinstall Vacuum Line.Reinstall Fuel Pump RelayReinstall Power Distribution Panel Cover.Turn ignition to on and allow fuel pump to prime fuel system (1 or 2 seconds).Using OBDII Scanner, clear all relevant engine codes.Vehicle should now crank instantly.Congratulations! You have just solved your rough idle and multiple random cylinder misfires.NOTE: I noticed multiple reviews complaining of regulator buzz. This part Delphi FP10021 Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator is an GM OEM regulator (same as ACDelco) and is for VIN T vehicles. If your vehicle is VIN Z (Flex Fuel), then you’ll likely experience performance issues due to the VIN Z lower pressure application requirements.I hope this helps!

Review: For about a year I was having hard starting problems with my 99 Chevy Silverado 6.0. I found gas in the old regulator vacuum line and that should not be there After installation and several weeks of field testing, the problem is gone.Go with the genuine Delphi!

Title: Fit great and fixed check engine light!
Review: Part looked slightly different from the one I pulled out but not by much. I had order a Delphi one first and it did not sit flush it seemed a little longer also. This one was a perfect fit a little tight to get in but with pressure and some twisting it was in the clip was a littler harder to get on but went into good. As soon as I started up the Escalade it idle perfect and the engine light was off. It had the po300 and I believe po175 I would not hesitate to buy this again if I ever had issues like misfire, running rich, rough idle not passing smog

Review: Fixed my warm start problem. Diaphram was torn in the original part allowing fuel to be drawn into the intake through the vacuum line. This replacement fit just like the original. Before ordering, confirm whether your vacuum connection is on the top or side of your stock regulator.

Start your truck and pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulator, if gas shoots out, you need one!This is a product you are buying because your other one failed! So let me save you some time, if you have a 2003 Chevy Avalanhe with a 5.3 liter, this is exactly what you need. I try to be as thrifty of a dad as I can be when it comes to keeping my old truck going. So please let me save you even more time too, the cheaper ones that say “yes it fits a 2003 Avalanche with the 5.3”, they dont. I bought and returned 2 from 2 different sellers. Going cheap on these won’t waste your money, because you can return, but it will waste your time. Get this one, it’s a Delphi, you know it is going to fit and you know it is going to work. Why are the other ones so cheap? I think i have an idea why. They bank on a lot of people not bothering to do the return. So they say it fits all vehicles, but they don’t, and at $30 people swear they are going to send it back. It sits on the work bench and time passes until it’s too late to return. This seller may even get repeat business on a different item because a lot of people who buy on Amazon are not looking at seller names, but rather reviews and star ratings!Here is a tip, when you remove the old one, the rubber seals often stay inside the engine side, make sure you have removed those rubbers so it fits in properly.1. Good price for a good product. I am cheap, but eventually had to buy this one.2. I personally know that it fits 2003 Avalanche with the 5.3 liter.3. The cheaper brands don’t fit even when the company says it does. They bank on you being too lazy to return it. I returned 2 from other sellers and wasted time waiting for them to arrive.
